[Q] Flashed hotspot unlocker, now com.android.phone has stopped. Please help. - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was/am rooted/unlocked, I flashed an unlocker for the hotspot, then the message for com.android.phone began popping up continuously. Tried accessing the bootloader, but for whatever reason, it won't let me get to it. It also appears that my Airplane Mode icon in Settings keeps rapidly blinking on and off.
I managed to turn on Debugging, but it doesn't seem that ADB can see the phone. I've tried to ADB into the bootloader and it won't work.
Windows DOES see the phone in Computer, so I know it does at least see it to access the drives on it.
Please, please tell me that there is still some way to make my phone work again.

Found my way into Recovery. Did a Factory Reset, but the issue is still there. Is there something I can flash that would fix the issue?
I don't care if I go back to stock, locked, unrooted. I just want my phone back. ^^;

Try a stock backup for your Sprint HTC ONE M8

This is what I get from trying to flash what I thought was what I needed.

Anything you can suggest? I've tried flashing 3 different ones so far.

Try reformating your sdcard fat32 with a pc. Then place only the ruu on the sdcard and try again. Sometimes that gets it to work.
My sdcard is FAT32 , I'm tired with it
When I try do it with android-sdk I get "FAILED (remote: not allowed)"

Even though its already fat32, sometimes reformating it gets it to work.
If your getting the remote not allowed message, it means the bootloader is still locked.

Thats strange, with the bootloader unlocked you should have no issues fastboot flashing cwm recovery. Download this file http://dinc.does-it.net/Guide_Root_New_Hboot/recovery.img, and place it on your pc in the same folder as fastboot.exe. Open a cmd prompt with the phone connected. The phone should be in hboot and say fastboot usb plug in red at the top. Type " fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ".

That sounds like a bad download/corruption of the PB file, or the version of ruu you are trying to flash is older than the version on the phone. Try this one http://dinc.does-it.net/Stock_Images/4.08.605.15/PB31IMG.zip

[Q] Bootloader Not Unlocking?

I got a m8 yesterday after switching to T-mobile and I would really like to unlock/root/mod it. I've rooted other phones before and haven't had this much trouble with them.
I get through all of the steps, run fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin which runs fine (gives option to unlock or not, I select yes with the power button) and reboots the phone. The phone is wiped as it's supposed to be, and I turn off the fast boot and turn on usb debugging in the options after the basic set up. When I boot it into fastboot to install the recovery, it still says *** LOCKED *** at the top of the screen, and I get this when I try to install it
XXX-Inspiron-N5010:~/Downloads/fastboot$ sudo fastboot flash recovery Recovery.img

sending 'recovery' (14818 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.635s]
writing 'recovery'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)

I've tried this on two different computers and with different recovery files, one running Windows 8 and the other Ubuntu five times and I can't find anyone else that has had the same problem. I would appreciate any help with this as it's getting quite frustrating

Saving Data from locked, bricked device

Hey there,
as the title of the threat already indicates, my HTC One X got bricked.
As this usually happens when trying to flash some custom roms or recoverys, in my case it is the result of an official HTC update for android.
I can boot into Fastboot, and via cmd "fastboot devices" does show me the connected phone.
Now my approach for solving this matter was to flash the clockwork mod and then boot into recovery.
From there i wanted to pull data from the phone via adb commands.
The only problem is that my phone is locked. I cannot unlock it at the moment without wiping all data (which obviously would miss the whole data recovery point).
When i try tp flash the CWM in fastboot i get:
sending 'recovery' (8100 KB)...
FAILED (unknown status code)
finished. total time: 0.933s
I also tried to directly boot a recovery via fastboot boot recovery.img.
This resulted in
downloading 'boot.img'...
FAILED (unknown status code)
finished. total time: 0.933s
Well now I am seriously frustrated and dont know how to get my data.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Cheers
Josef

Need help returning to stock

Hey guys, so I recently got an S6 but was going to sell my m7 for a little extra cash. It had the purple camera issue tho so I was going to return it to stock and send it in for repair. I attempted to follow the return to stock thread but something went wrong. I started out bootloader unlocked via HTCdev and S-off. I thought I had successfully flashed the RUU and proceeded with command to go back to S-on. Well now I can only get to the bootloader. When I try to reboot it always brings me back to the bootloader. Currently it says Tampered, Locked, S-on and I can only do stuff through fastboot. I haven't been able to successfully flash anything from here. Anybody know if there's anything else I can do to get this phone running again? Appreciate any help
What firmware is the phone on? While in fastboot, it will tell you hboot version as well as the os version. If that doesn't work, do fastboot getvar all and post it here with imei and serial removed.
Thanks for the reply. It was on the latest firmware that Santod had posted. OS is 5.28.605.2
If you are on 5.28, the 4.4.3 ruu might work for you.

Whenever I try to use the EXE file I get a connection error. I'm not sure why, the phone's connected and I can still use fastboot. I have the latest HTC sync manager installed so the drivers should be good. If I try to just flash the RUU I get a signature error. Any other ideas that might work?

Dude first you have to extract the zip file then run the .exe file just read the instructions in the thread of that RUU. Happy Flashing
OK, I feel like an idiot. I've been trying so many different things to get this to work I copied the section of the command window that I knew wasn't right., however it is still not working. What I have done is extracted the zip from that thread and tried to flash the rom.zip file that was included in it. Unfortunately I still get a signature fail. When I try to use the exe program in that thread I get a USB connection error every time. Thank you both for your replies. It seems that thread is my only shot so I'm going to take my questions over there.

TWRP problem

unlocked the bootloader
download the twrp recovery img (...ruu.lalleman.net/HTC_M8S%28QL_UL%29/Recovery/twrp-recovery-2.8.7.0-m8s-qlul/)
set phone on Fastboot USB
over the cmd bar (windows 10) i used fastboot and got this result:
