I have been trying to convert some faces I had made for the Gear2 to the Moto 360 mainly just the images but I cant seem to figure out why even though I save an image specifically a watch hand or other pointer with a clear/no background when I try to use in either program the image now has a white back ground any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?
ok answered my own question I was using gallery to choose images apparently you have to either copy the image to the phone then import it or i also used the Photos think its the Samsung app on note 4 and the images are imported without background.

Dear all,
i am a photographer and would like to show high res images on my wp7 phone (HTC HD7). When i sync images in high(er) resolution (e.g. 1600x960) they will be resized by zune and/or the phone. I found in zune a setting that alllows me to upload the images as "device optimized" (800x480), original and custom (640x480). If i use original they will be still resized to 800x480.
The phone can (and should) handle large images, even the build in camera generates 5mpix waste.
I am sorry if there was alread a topic that answers my issue, just link me to it. I did not found anything regarding my problem.
Any ideas?
John
Don't know. It doesn't resize on my Zune->Phone sync. It doesn't actually even ask anything.
Hi
it does not ask me anything too, but there are resizing settings in Zune:
Settings / Phone / Images and Movies ("Videos" in german)
There you can setup "image quality" to original or something else.
Even "original" does not keep the resolution but resizes instead.

How do you know that using the "Original" setting, the pictures are being resized? How can you be sure they're not being put onto the phone in their original resolution?
Hi
firstly the setting was "device optimized" - i guess it means 800x480.
Then i setup "original" - but they are still resized.
I *see* that they are resized, because when i zoom in, they are unsharp and less of detail. When i sync e.g. a 5Mp image (that came from a 23mpix original), i do not see more detail compared to a 800x480 image upload. E.g. eylashes (on a portrait) are not distinguishable from each other. In the 5mpix image i can count all of them...

Have you tried removing all the photos from your phone, and re-syncing them? Perhaps changing the setting only affects newly-synced photos.
Hi
I die not remove them all but a few. I also synced completely New Images that never have been one the phone before. It is all the same: resized Images.

That would certainly seem to be a bug then....wonder if there's a workaround. Try removing the photo sync group and then recreating it?

Hi
I set up a fully new sync folder, disabeled the old one and restarted zune. When i put in the image to sync it was still resized uploaded to the phone.
What happened to your phones if you sync an image like that:
I am to new in the forum to post an outside link, but what happened to your phones if you upload an "siemensstern" image? (try to google for it)

I would love to have the idea sketch images from my Galaxy Note II or Note 8 onto my PC so I can use them in Infographics and presentations. Anyone know if this is possible?
Take a screenshot of the competed sketch and email it to yourself? Also. Since they are saved on the device I think you can just do a USB transfer

Most images are downloaded to your device, which leads me to think you can find them using something like root explorer. Just a theory, though.
Depening on how ¨big¨, meaning if they fit on the screen at once, your sketches are, you could just hold the button on the pen pressen and draw the dotted line around your sketch. If you close the loop, the circled content automatically gets cut and you are able to share it as a image via the usual channels (G-Mail, Evernote and so on).
On the other hand you should also to be able to just share the whole note via the share button, but I don`t know which app you are using.
If you then share it to dropbox, the images will get synced to your pc automatically
what about plain old export to jpg or pdf?
Hi guys, my fiancee and I recently got new phones and we're trying to move all of our data to the new ones.
On her SGS2, she has a picture currently being used as her wallpaper that she wants to keep, but we can't find the source file anywhere on the phone. It is currently displayed as the wallpaper, but does NOT show up in the gallery, in the camera, or in any folder on the phone. I have even downloaded the fileexplorer app and run a search for ALL *.jpg on the phone and can't find it. Is there config file or something we can check to see where this file is referenced (as it's currently set as the wallpaper/background, wherever it is) or to extract it somehow from the background without the quality loss of a screen capture?
The phone is stock, not rooted, if that matters.
Hi Guys,
My USB port failed recently on my Note 2 so had no way of fully backing up my phone via my PC, however I did sync with Samsung and Google before it went off for repair. When it came back everything seemed to restore Ok but I have noticed that my backed up photos all seem to reside in a folder called Autobackup and are all low res versions.
I don't know much about this and sort of assumed that my pictures would be restored automatically to the folder they were originally in and at the same quality?
I can't find the Autobackup folder through file manager and I can't seem to do anything with the pictures via gallery.
How can I get the full res pictures back?
Your help is much appreciated
Neil
They are in cloud...when you press it and want to use them... they get downloaded on device.. try setting a pic as wallpaper.. you will understand
You can get them all on device..you have to go to settings in google photos app

Thanks for your help and pointing me in the right direction. To get them back on my phone I downloaded them from the Google+ photos page. Come down as Zip files and to my relief they were all full size
I just spent 45 minutes on tech support trying to find out how to manage my photos on my new tablet. After allowing smart tutor control, I was told that the new Tab S won't allow me to use Kies to direct my photos into various folders, nor is there any way to move them once loaded. I am a photographer, and had expected to have over a thousand images for demos. I can't have them all in one huge folder.
Please save me from having to return this and get an Apple - I have to be able to organize my photos. How do I do it?
thanks in advance

option 1: The tablet should have Google+ installed, if you set that up and open the photos app (which is separate from the gallery app) you should be able to upload photos to google plus automatically, allowing you to organize and share photos inside google's online photo manager
option 2: You could do basically the same thing with Dropbox, uploading photos you have to their servers and then organizing them on your computer either in the photo manager on dropbox.com, or manually with the file manager on your mac/pc
option 3: use a USB cable to plug the tablet into your PC and copy photos from it manually periodically. If you have windows this should be easy, if you have a mac, you'll need android file transfer which is a program that communicates with the MTP protocol modern android devices use.
thoughts/comments/concerns?
Thanks
I didn't want to use an online method, because I am often in places with poor or no signal, which is a non-starter. I had tried running through simple Windows file manager, and had not been able to see it as anything other than single folder, with no ability to see discrete folder structures in it. However, when I tried that this am, I could see the folders on the Galaxy, so transfer and file management is easy. I'm not sure whether the Samsung tech changed a setting or what else might have changed, but with visibility into the folders via File Manager, this is now straightforward.
Thanks for the help. It's sad that Samsung help couldn't give me this simple fix.
Kevin
There are a lot of simple ways to manage photos. The simplest (but not most efficient) approach is probably just to plug the tab into PC with a USB and use a file manager to manage. Alternatively, you can also use one of several online services like Picasa and a third party app. Many of of the third party apps like PicsPro for Picasa, for example, have an option to keep a local copy of photos on the tablet so you can still view photos without an internet connection.

hi, I can easily do that within the default Gallery app.
I have the T705 version btw. But this shouldn't matter.
in the Gallery app I can simply create new folder(s) and move (or copy) selected photos form any folder to that new folder. I use this all the time. I'm not a professional photographer but I like to take loads of pictures. but I don't like them all together in the default "Camera" folder. I never organized my photos via PC (not on my phones, nor on my tabs).
