abnormal sw detected on s-8530?

Hello, i have one piece s8530 and tried to flash it with S8530JPKA1 but then i get error and phone says "abnormal sw detected" and is stuck on logo but goes to download mode....someone pls help, how to fix this phone?

someone please help me, i have 3 pieces with same problem

I tried all firmwares:
S8530_XEJK6
S8530JPKA1
S8530XPKH1
S8530_XXJL1
what to do now?

try to remove memory card & SIM card then boot the phone
if it give the same error try to flash again
if all this didn't work go to the Samsung service center

Tried all firmwares still same problem...lost all hope

Go back to your older firmware
go to badadownloads.com they have a video showing how to downgrade from bada 2.

I tried downgrading technique also but still same error "abnormal sw detected"...any other ideas?

Guess what i sucessfully flashed and repaired my phone...only problem is that i have "camera failed" now...any ideas how to rectify it?

How did you fix it ?? and what was missung??
Also What FW do you have now? if XXJK1 then i think you forget to flash *.pfs file

I flashed it with firmware GT-S8530_XEF_S8530XXKF1_S8530OXAKD7 and this fixed the phone. I flashed *.pfs file this time but still camera failed, any ideas?

Sorry i have no idea what is your current problem
maybe you should go back to your previous FW or try that fix

Well my phone is alive and working, only problem is that when i try to open camera, i get "camera failed". I also tried the link you posted but still same problem.

I had this issue too..just reboot your phone and everything will works normaly again..

i hv this issue alsi when i'm using lower class memory card. now using class 10 16gb card with bionic rom without this camera failed problem.

Try to flash a new Camera.apk to you phone. Hopefully that is only software problem.

I had the same problem and I solved it by uninstalling oovoo....it's only a case???

do u have cwm on ur phone? reboot ur phone into recovery then choose advance and choose fix permission, wait until finish, then reboot ur phone after it finish

Unfortunately I have the same problem. My camera does not work anymore. I just receive the message "Camera failed". I still have the stock rom installed and I did not modify too much (I just installed some apps). I have already reset the phone to factory settings which did not solve my problem. Does anybody have an idea what I could try to fix the problem?

I just have formatted my device and flashed it with a stock rom. Unfortunately it did not solve my problem with the camera. I still got the error message "camera failed" when I click on the camera app. Any ideas? Is it a hardware problem? Should I flash a custom rom?

I got that message once, and I panicked. Fortunately, rebooting did it just fine.
Perhaps there is something wrong with the firmware...I searched the net and found this article, maybe useful, IDK.

Thanks for the reply and for the link. Unfortunately I do not understand step 3. When I scroll to "Camera" I do not see a 2nd option which should be named as "user". I just see "camera" and "camcorder". What should I do? Do I have to root the phone?

ok, I have rooted my phone and I have tried the fix described in the link above again. However, I was not successfull. I do not get these options described in the link ("user"). Maybe I am using a wrong version of Pro Launcher. I just downloaded the new version from market...Anyone with a suggestion/idea?

Camera failed
I used to face this problem quite a lot when i was using the stock rom, but after flashing to cow's rom, the problem went away, no more camera failed anymore

Yesterday after upgrade to baseband v. i8150dxlc1 Kernel [email protected]#3 (KIES UPGRADE) i dont have that problem anymore

How to downgrade from B114 to B111?

Guys.
Recently installed the B114 leak and have found a massive wake lock bug meaning my device is never sleeping even when in standby. I want to downgrade to B111 without wiping /userdata.
When I try and complete the downgrade via 'local upgrade' I get the error that there is no upgrade file found.
Does this mean I have to flash this via the recovery?

Wait - I had 2 dload folders. 1 inside the other so that's probably the reason for the error.
Will report back.

It still needs so much to do.. usb debugging doesnt stay enabled.. wi fi is constantly getting off .. even when is connected..
it is still laggy i cannot register for huawei cloud backup

Downgrade from B114 to B111 worked fine at mine

yup just replace the file in the dload folder with the official B111. Actually i've just downgraded the other day, no need to factory reset, although! its advisable to have a factory reset everytime u flash a rom

No need for any step two, just download the official firmware from huawei B111 and just do a single local upgrade action :highfive:

Well I am trying to downgrade B115 to B111, not working. "Huawei SD-card update failed". Also it's saying my phone is Secureboot phone and something about LOCKED. Great - my phone is basicly brick now
Any ideas?

I suggest you downgrade to the very first version B104 i think? try that first

hmmm not sure, or try an earlier version probably B104, B106, B107 those firmwares

It seems that the problem was the SC card I was using. Card wich doesnt work is FAT32 and where the update worked is FAT.
Sooo, I hope this helps if someone is formatting their SD card - !! REMEMBER TO CHOOSE FAT OPTION INSTEAD OF FAT32 !!

Mention the steps you do in updating it, so guys here can see if you left out anything. Also just try switching to some other memory card you have. Im just using an old 4 GB memory card of the brand "Kingstone" that was around and it works perfectly fine. In the pdf file regarding update steps, it does mention the following: The MICRO SD card made by Sandisk, Kingstone, or Kingmax is recommended.

I have Sandisk and Kingstone, Sandisk worked fine until now. So I managed update once my phone, but not second time...

just tesing B1111 and it is no go for me it drains battery a LOT ! Compare to chinese version battery is way better

the problem is caused after i upgraded from lollipop v21a(TWN) to marshmallow hongkong using LGUP , well now i have a phone with no wifi or signal or any kind of network and what is even worse is that I can't connect it to computer .. the computer wont recognize it no matter what i do , i tried changing cables , reinstalling the drivers , and trying in download mode ... well so far none helped.
anyone familiar with this problem ? is there a solution or i just destroyed my phone beyond repair :/ ? oh and if it matters the phone does charge when connected to computer
any help would be appreciated , thanks in advance.

It's odd that it won't even charge from the PC. Did you try charging it from just a simple wall charger to see if it would work? Or try a different PC?

Well, first thing I'd check is the USB configuration. Go to settings, developer options, Select USB Configuration. See if for some reason it's stuck on Charging Only. Unfortunately, I don't think that will help, but might as well try.
Other than that, maybe you have an microSD Card lying around that you could load with a new ROM and associated bootstack and reload the ROM from there?

i will try that , but is it possible to do that without root ? I'm not very positive that it would read the sd card though but it is worth a shot .. but how exactly to do that
how can i flash a rom without a twrp or root ?
(if there is way to do so) can you tell me which bootstack i need to flash for kitkat (4.4.2) and which to lolipop 5.0 , or a link to download would be even better since i can't seem to find them

well I didnt flash a custom ( i flashed a wrong official marshmallow only-for the wrong device it seems) , and yeah i did that without a root or a custom recovery ... i did it through pc

Again , please HELP , i'm facing a huge issue , horrible lagging !

hi ,
the other day my phone froze and after the reboot i got the miui welcome screen , like when you do a factory reset , all the apps were deleted .
i tried to install the apps again , then it's started to lag , like massive lagging , booting now takes waay too long , unlocking lags so much , everything is lagging eventhe settings .
flashed a stock rom again , still the same , now i flashed LineageOs , it took forever to boot , but again , it lags a lot .
please help ? anything should i do ? or what's the issue here ?
Edit : i still don't know how , but somehow i managed to fix this thanks to @bugmen a true legend <3 ....
the fix is : keep restarting the device too many times ... for me i have the bootloader unlocked .. so the time between the migi logo and the word unlocked that comes under it was obviously long ... after few restarts 5 or 6 lel ... i stopped when i noticed that the word "unlocked" appeared faster than ususal .... and that's it lol ... the phone is working fine for now ...

can you flash FASTBOOT ROM ? 9.6.x ? make sure you be careful with AntiVAR issue,
fastboot room will reset everything!

i had the latest Miui build , and i have the latest buil as a fastboot rom too , i think there won't be any issues about ARB since it's the latest version , i'll flash it and update the post , hope it'll work

This really sounds like a hardware issue.
Make sure if you modded the software to go back to stock and return it.
It shouldn't lag that much since it really has a good Cpu and gpu pairing.

It automatically started and some point in the middle it fixed its self again and after a week it started the same problem.
Now its been 2 months I'm using the phone with the issue

I have same problem and charges too slow emmc ,msm thermal temperature s are at 74°C constant see from system panel2 app this is due to bug post threas in miui forum

which version of whic rom are you using . i'm on 10.0.6.0 ( OEIMFH ) and no issues

you sure it's the same as mine ? cuz i can't use the phone like this !!!!
the boot time is like 5 mnts or something sometimes 3 ...
unlocking with the finger print is like 20 seconds or .....
when launching apps like Reddit fb instagram .. it takes like 30 seconds to appear !
sometimes the keyboard laggs , chrome laggs everything laggs
please confirm if it's the same issue and on what version of miui it appeared to you ?

This Problem Caught My Eye.. and I wondered if you could confirmed a couple of things for me..
1) You've Done A Factory Reset.... Right?
2) After Your Factory Reset..... Have you taken the time to run the device WITHOUT ANY OF "YOUR" APPS installed?.... I know it's an convenience... but, have you tried it?

of course lel , the first time i did a hard reset , a system process crashed before the boot is even completed lol , after flashing lineage os , tried booting into Safe Mode , the lagging still there , someone on reddit said it was a storage failure , annyway i can check if it's true ?

I am having this problem since miui 9 tried everything from unlocking bootloader and installing custom roms the result is same in everything

Update : Tried Antutu Bench and got ROM score : 890 !!! the normal is around 4200 ... does this confirm it's a storage issue or ... ?

It happened again, my device is slow again lolz
I think we'll never get to know the cause of this issue
