Help with Sprint

Hey guys I need some help with Sprint. I recently purchased a couple of S2's for my kids from a guy who had Sprint and switched carriers. One connected fine, the other did not. Sprint says it is a problem within their system not being able to connect the ESN to a Sprint number but the phone is definitely a Sprint device. It's not rooted and it's not flashed. They have a ticket open on the issue but they are taking too long. Is there anything I can try that might fix this?

You can Odin a Sprint Stock ROM. It won't trigger the flash counter or change the device status to modified, all of the stock ROMs are located here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1903252
Just follow the instructions in the thread of the ROM you pick. (GB27 is the latest Sprint ROM) it sends you to. PC required. But you may have to change the HA and AAA keys to get it to work if it was flashed to another carrier. And further yet it may have been flashed to another because it had a bad Sprint ESN. If that's the case you won't be able to activate it on Sprint... It will work on Boost, FreedomPop, Ting, Page Plus, Straight Talk, or Virgin Mobile if flashed. Just giving you as many possibilities as I can think of.

I'll try to Odin again. Right now it is on the latest Sprint GB27 so I'm not sure what the issue is. But I'll give that a shot. Sprint verified the ESN is not bad, Has not been reported stolen or lost or anything like that. I would think that if it was flashed to another carrier that it would not be on GB27 correct? It would have to be a Cricket Rom or Boost Rom etc...

The only other carriers that have ROMs are Boost and Virgin Mobile, but technically you can use a Sprint ROM with any of the carriers mentioned above, all you have to do is change the mmsc url and apn settings. They all basically run off of Sprint's towers.

Ok I'll look into that also. I'll do some comparisons with the phone that worked and the one that doesn't

Doesn't make any sense that they can't activate it on their end if it has a clean ESN

F240K T-Mobile Poland MMS sending problem

Hello!
I'm giving up with the problem and asking You for help. I bought my device in Korea. I live in Poland and since I landed with new mobile in PL I cannot send MMS by stock app:/ My carrier is T-Mobile. I've already checked and set APN settings (for milion times!!) for Internet and MMS. I can receive MMS but cannot send I've installed GO SMS Pro and I was able to send MMS but after update I cannot send it anymore :/ I started to googling, reading, checking etc. I found featureset.xml in system/etc and also found some DB according to MMS and APNs in /data/data/com.android.providerstelephony (I don't remember exacly the path): mms.db , hiddenmms.db and telephony.db . In the databases I found some data according to APNs. Also I found some APNs info in etc dir in some xml files.
I will be very grateful for help in my issue.

I do not know if i can help, but could you take a screen shot of your APN. I have found 5 different ways to input the APN's for my T-Mobile network here is the US and only one worked.

I received APN settings from T-Mobile support team.
Maybe Go Sms stopped sending mms after root but I did full unroot and did factory reset. I also tried to fix permissions after root - unsuccessful actions in my case

Sorry did not read all of your first post, have you tried uninstalling the update to GO SMS Pro.
If you have and it did not work you may have to do a full install of the stock rom.

I did factory reset and not able to uninstall update of go sms pro My mobile is running Kitkat but before when it had Jellybean and there was the same problem : stock app didn't send mms :/ It is very annoying :/ I noticed that hangout has some problem with APN's inside application - when I open APN settings and tap cancel APN is disappearing from APN's list - this is only in hangout app.
What should I do now? How do You think? What should be next step?

Doing a factory reset, from the phone, sometime dose not fix it after root. I have learned this from pasted F'ups of my own doing. You may have to manually reinstall the stock rom from the computer. If any one else has a suggestions please chime in.

Dear community my issue is not fixed Is there any options to check what APN settings are used during mms sending? I mean any log file with mms sending details. T-Mobile support team is very poor for cooperat

Just received the warranty replacment for Tmo Note 3

Ok i'll keep this simple. I just got the tmobile note 3 replacement. And now I want to transfer everything over.
But first please point me with links and directions to how to do this quickest easiest and fool proof.
I'm not sure what firmware this replacement will have if its the latest NF1 when i boot i up with tmobile
Tell me there is a simple way to give it root and more importantly change the recovery to TWRP latest version.
I'm hoping there is a 1 step solution/windows app that will do all that. I just need tha done. THen I will just swap the microsd into the replacement and load the entire image stored on the card to the new phone. Is it really that simple? please let me know what I'm missing.
Don't tell me the NF1 carrier upgraded devices can't be unlocked. please i have no idea how to do this, don't just point me into the right threads, I have a disability of sifting thru info i am legally disabled. Pleaes help me make this transition as easy as possible.
My deepest thanks.

Do you mind me asking what is wrong with your phone?
You can always Odin back the replacement phone to ne6 and make sure you do the bootloader too, and then use towelroot to reroot. Then just use titanium backup to back up your stuff from your old phone (assuming you already have root) then restore on the new phone.

Is it normal for everything to be NF except the baseband is still stuck at the old one. Is this normal? Is there a 900T NF1 bootloader? I heard nf1 HAS A NEW bootloader, but i can't flash it up to it. I've attached a screetshot.
Also, I CANT TETHER FOR FREE NO MORE! On my old note 3 with any ROM that doesn't do the tmobile tether turn on check, I can use tether unlimited by connecting to a proxy on my computer, but now for osme reason, it always redirects me to an upsell page just like on tmobile's official ROMs is there a new way around it? When I connect to the note 3 AP on my computer it automatically says theres "limited connectivity" please help, I want it the way of how it was on my note 3, does it have to do with the new radio? or is it something else? thanks.

Sim Unlocked phone got locked again. Please help!

Guys, I unlocked my Sprint Note 4 successfully on 5.0.1 (OF5) using the idone app. Later I Odin it to stock COG5 5.1.1 tar. Once I did that, my hotspot and roaming options disappeared from settings. In order to get data working on my operator (non US CDMA), I had to write a dummy NV Dump and had to change few other parameters (trial n error). I finally got data working but I changed too many parameters. So I decided to ##RTN#, so that I can reset back those parameters and start fresh from begining.
Right after the reboot, it started to display "invalid card". I tried different sim but same result. I tried to Odin back to stock COG5 tar but it didnt help. Now that I'm on 5.1.1, I'm unable to use idone app to sim unlock again. And since I'm on COG5 firmware, cant downgrade as well.
Please help me out guys.

You absolutely CAN use the idone app on OG5. You need to flash that OG5 file from Odin, flash TWRP from ODin, then the Beast Kernel and superuser from recovery. As long as you have the IMEI file from buying your unlock on your SD, it will unlock again. I went through the same issue with one of my Notes just yesterday. You can use the unlock app a million times as long as it's on the same device as the IMEI as originally paid and unlocked. It's a little bit of work, however I did all from A to Z in 15 minutes. I see no direct option for hotspot under settings. But i can get to hotspot settings using idone app. But no devices are able to connect note 4 hotspot. It keeps on showing connecting and time outs. Please help me enable native hotspot.

No Signal - won't connect to a network...

Picked up a used AT&T Note 5 recently, everything works except it won't connect to the T-Mobile network. I had previously bought a used(white) AT&T Note 5, factory reset it, put in my t-mobile SIM and bam, I'm up and running.
But with this (black) one I've tried just about everything, adding APN, check IMEI, etc....no dice. Even tried the T-mobile customer service. They tried & checked everything, no go. They even saw the device history and it was running on t-mobile just a couple months ago with the previous owner. I've even ran a ping test and turned the radio off & on in the diagnostics *#*#4636#*#*.
After investigating other threads it seems it could possibly be Marshmallow PE6 that screwed up the radio? But I would think it had been running on that previously.
Any other ideas?

Just try downloading a different firmware(older) and pull the modem.bin out of the tar file and then re-zip it again into a modem.tar file so it can be flashed with odin but don't try going to far back like if you're on Marshmallow don't try flashing a modem from Lollipop because it won't work.. I use 7zip for the extracting and zipping of files.

Well, the plot thickens.
When I checked the IMEI before purchase on Swappa it said all was good. However, they couldn't identify the type or provider of the phone. I didn't think much of it at the time. So I decided to double check the IMEI on a different 2 other checking sights last night and I got the following info(from both!):

Clicked "Network Check" and it said: "IMEI not found on database."
Wtf? Can this be fixed? Is this causing my network issue?

I also checked the IMEI on the back cover, and it states it's clean, not blacklisted and is for an AT&T Note 5.
Anyone restore an IMEI?

Messing with the IMEI is illegal! Are you sure you didn't buy a fake phone? Do you have a picture of the front of the phone?

Download an app called phone info from the play store over wifi and see if the settings match what they're supposed to for the phone. Is there a sim card in the phone?

Yes it recognizes the SIM but still, no network found.
Cosmetically nice phone, guess I'll re-sell for parts.
