yesterday I had been unlocking my z1 compact with your tutorial . It worked fine till I had started the email verification from sony mobil. I had agreed the terms & conditions, entered my email, subminted and waiting till now. These steps I did with three different email-alias and no email from sony has arrived.
Had anybody the some problems? Could give anyone a advice to unlock my mobile .

Hi, i have no problems with an Gmail Adress..
Check your spam/trash folder. Happened to me when I unlocked my sons Motorola.

i haven't made any changes to the phone but the email app isn't working (hasn't been since last night). keeps saying that it cannot connect to the server. the gmail app is working normally though. weird. i've already tried removing then adding the account without success.
has anyone experienced this? solution? thx in advance.

Hi,
My university has posted the instructions setting up our email on a Sony Ericsson X10. (ohio.edu/oit/email/exchange/upload/Sony_Ericsson_Xperia_X10.pdf)
However the software differs from the X10 to the Arc, I was wondering whether anyone can tell me how to modify the instructions so that the Email woks on the Arc??
Any help is appreciated.

It should just be a matter of opening your main menu and selecting the 'Email' app.
After that, all the settings are the same, so just enter them as/when you're prompted to.

I tried the instructions on the Sony Ericsson Arc, but the default mail app fails to connect to the account. Any ideas???

Without being able to try it myself, it's impossible to make any suggestions.
Do you know anyone else at the same school/college/uni with an Android handset who have been able to get their e-mail working on their phone?
If so, it might be worth asking them if they had a similar problem getting it set up.

When i bought the gn facebook notifications worked. Now i don t know why but since 2 days i cant receive notifications and i noticed that adding a facebook account to account and sync doesn t work to.
So why it worked and now suddendly not ? Anyone is experiencing it too? Any explanation?

The current Facebook doesn't support syncing yet regarding Android ICS 4.0 and later.
You will have to wait 'till FB developes a new app or check one of the ROMS out there, somebody (maybe it was for SGS1 ICS) has made it so that syncing works in ICS, but that's modding and not officially through FB.
Notifications work fine, it is only contact sync that doesn't work 'out the box'

Reminders are synced with your google account. You can find your reminder in your mails.

i will unlock the BL, so i backed up my DRM keys and went to the sony website here.
BUT, after putting in my email adress, i didn´t get the confirmation email. Tried it 3 or 4 times (yesterday and today), but nothing

this is absolutely crazy:
now i tried it with a fake email address AND IT WORKED! unbelieveable...
This actually happened to me the other day. I wanted to get the bootloader unlock email for the Z3 Compact, nothing received.
So I put the same email address in but with the Z1 Compact selected, and I got an email 5 seconds later.
Weird.
