[Q] stuck on booting up screen - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Sprint gs3. I rooted, installed clockwork mod, tried to install a new rom. I'm pretty sure I didn't back the original rom because I had so many other things going on. Anyhow, when it finished and went to reboot it flashed through all the sprint stuff and then stuck on the samsung logo with the blue flashing through it. I also may or may not have factory erased after trying to get the new rom to work. I've been fighting this for about 10 hours now, including searching through this website and the rest of the interweb. Just looking for a little help tonight. Samsung tech tells me to go to Best Buy and have them reflash the software but I didnt tell her I rooted it. Any advice please?

[Q] I have really screwed my phone, Can someone help

I am trying to have a laugh about it now, but I really screwed up today and think i have gone past the point of no return with my motorola defy. I have been reading up on roms and upgrading my rom for several days, and last nyt I rooted phone with no probs. To day I downloaded system restore and did a back up and then downloaded and installed a new rom. When installing the rom i was following your guide and it said to wipe cache and all files which i did but in doing so deleted my back up on sd card. the new rom booted up and was working nicely but i had no network, and I panicked and tryed to restore old rom, and indo so beleaive I have deleted all roms from my phone and am left with a boot loader only. I can not restore anything and basically screwed up badly.
Do I have any options that could get this phone working again????
I been trying to look for ways and thought i may be able to get something working using RSD lite??? Or do I just go throw this phone at the road. ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

[Q] sprint gs3 wont boot into twrp

What's up guys!
Using ROM installer I flashed vanir 4.4 along with 4.4 gapps on my sprint gs3 sph l710. I wiped the cache and it looked as if it were installing fine but winded up getting stuck in boot loop mode instead. Now when I try to boot into recovery the twrp screen flashes and then it goes straight into bootlop mode from there. Now i cant acsess any of my backups. I can get into down load mode but unfortunately my computers messed up right now. I can't hit the run button on Odin because the screen is too big. I know it sucks!!! Does anyone know some tricks I can use or have any recommendations. Your help would be greatly appreciated! BTW.. I was running illusion 4.3 when this happened.

Can you try using this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746680
Maybe that'll work, you can use it to return to stock, and if anything I would recommend going back to stock before doing anything else. Also, it may not be the consensus of the site here but in my own opinion, I don't like using rom installer or goo manager or anything. I like doing it all myself in recovery. I've heard one too many stories of people getting hardbricked because their rom installer or whatever downloaded the international version of the rom they wanted :/ always best to check your own md5 checksums and make sure you're downloading the rom for your phone from your phone's forum.
As for the exact reason your phone did that? I couldn't tell you, maybe with a little more info someone more knowledgeable here could tell you
So i got my computer fixed. I havent tried the tool kit in the thread you recommeded. I decided first to use a stock file i have on odin first that has saved me from softbricks in the past. I set everything up hit start, watched the process complete with the pass. Now it shows the stock boot animation but still stuck in bootloop mode. I put it into recovery, which is now stock instead of twrp, wiped cache, davlik cache and factory reset then i reconnected to odin and reflashed the stock file. Still stuck in bootloop mode!!!! Plain reboot and same thing :/ so for the hell of it, i wanted to see if i can to my backups by restoring twrp. So i flashed my cf auto root and then flashed my twrp file and bam!!!! Twrp was full functioning with all my backups!!! next i restored my latest illusion 4.3 rom and wala! Ive got a fully functioning rooted phone with a custom rom. I flipped through everything to make sure it looks good and it does. Except.... any photos and music that are saved to phone and not sd card are gone I dont understand, everthing else is backed. Contacts, call logs, messages, text messages, apps, customised settings etc...I even flashed my carbon rom that had the same music and pics. When i open gallery it shows the photo count in snapseed and others im looking for but then they all start dissapearing!!! i also dont understand why the stock file which has saved me from softbricks before didnt work. I dont know anything about checking md 5 checksums but if its worth the time ill do my research! Im happy i got my phone working but i would like to be more solid in what im doing. Maybe someone can help shed some light on this.

soft bricked...i think? please help

I have a sprint galaxy note 2 lte 4g. I needed to get it to work for pageplus, so i did everything needed and got it working. I decided to try and install a new rom so i could get rid of the sprint activation screen. So i downloaded the rom and cleared cache and reset in recovery mode. Now I am stuck on the bootscreen. I tried about 15 different roms and they are all the same. Either i have a bootloop or it just sits at the bootscreen. I was told from a friend that i am probably installing roms for the wrong build, but i dont know my build. I didnt do a back up( i know that was stupid of me). So all i know is that my phone is Sph-L900 because that is what it says under the battery. If any one could help me i really would appreciate it. Like i said i tried so many roms and they installed fine via recovery but wont go to homescreen, i already searched for hours on this and nothing is working. thank you ahead of time to everyone
Try odin/kies

You could try Odin as described here:
http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-n...ootunbrick-galaxy-note-2-with-stock-firmware/
The files to flash with odin can be found here: http://www.sammobile.com/
You could try Samsungs kies emergency recovery as described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2261153
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/faq/FAQ00059169/81100
Both work from download mode and will use official samsung firmware, so you lose both root and your custom recovery.

Bricked Phone After Update To Marshmallow

Hi, everyone! I have an unrooted, stock firmware (well, not anymore), Verizon Galaxy Note 4 (N910V).
Now, after I attempted to update, through the prompt in my status bar... everything went haywire. I can't even do a factory reset from recovery, and all I can get to is the Verizon logo as it turns on. And nothing else. I went to a Samsung Tech Center in a Best Buy, but because my phone (somehow, never rooted it and did a factory reset after I tried and failed) says Custom on the first bootup screen, the guy wouldn't touch it. How can I fix this myself? I have Odin, and the Samsung Drivers. I have searched around the web, but I have been unable to find a STOCK version of 6.0.1 to flash using Odin. If someone could help me find a way to fix this, even if it doesn't involve flashing, I'd be greatly appreciative. I've searched around on countless forums, including this one, and I haven't found any ways to fix this so I was attempting to do it myself. But, being unable to find a stock version of 6.0.1 for the device itself, or, at least my specific version, I can't do anything right now and I have now been without a phone for two days. Not a huge amount of time, but when you're waiting on a call for a job interview, it's nerve wracking. Thanks in advance!

hsbadr has all the firmware listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...mware-firmware-kernel-modem-recovery-t2942937, he has uploaded the full Odin flashable firmware for Retail N910v in that thread Full Firmware: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24588232905720218
Hope that helps you.

With a "Custom" on the opening splash screen, someone's been messing with the phone. When you can come clean with what you did to your phone, we might be able to help. Otherwise, use the search function to find out how to fix your phone when you've screwed it up.
Why LIE about what you did to the phone to XDA? Sure, lie to Samsung, VZ, BestBuy, etc, but what possible reason would you have to lie here when you are asking for help?

No OS on galaxy n4 sprint. No back up or restore point

No OS installed. I have twrp installed. So literally when i turn it on it goes directly into recovery menu. Apparently I have no back up or restore point. This is a Sprint galaxy note 4. Does anyone have any suggestions. I have been looking for a factory reset firmware somewhere online cant find one. Funny thing is my wife has the same exact phone. I thought making a back up and restore point for her phone would work on mine, but it didnt lol. Please I would be very grateful for help.
Hello, you could get the official software and use odin to get it back all the way to stock, or you can also just flash a custom rom since you already have twrp. To install a custom rom, all you need to do is download the rom and place it on a micro sd card, boot into twrp, and flash the rom from the micro sd.
Thank you for your reply how ever my trouble is finding an OS that works for my note 4 sprint device. I have downloaded dozens and dozens of different roms and so called " factory firmware" but seem to have no lucks. i have the recovery software installed twrp. when i go into there and try to load rom i still get error that says no os installed..
Thanks for the input i will close this thread now. my problem was not being patient at the bootload screen. I automatically assumed that something was wrong because it was stuck at the sprint spark yellow screen how ever little did i know a little bit of patients would have saved me numerous amounts of hours of research. Lost sleep, called off of work, and canceled weekend plans due to a little lack of patience. Well you live and you learn i really appreciate you taking time out to reply.
