Why is there no way to enter silent mode on 5.0?
Do not Disturb mode means my set alarms are not audibly notifying me.
To ensure my alarms is set I have to:
Pull down notification bar
Tap the volume icon twice.
Press and hold the DND quick settings icon to go to the sound menu.
Scroll to Do not Disturb.
Tap on Calls and Notifications.
Tap Priority.
Prior to Lollipop I had to:
Pull down notification bar.
Tap the volume icon twice.
This seems like a step backward. Is there any better way to ensure my alarms go off? I was almost late for work this morning due to this stupid feature/bug.
ok, it is simply a case of pressing volume key then pressing priority.

Thanks for the solution. That's a terrible design decision on the part of LG.

Torch on Samsung Galaxy without App
You do not need any app to install to use as Torch on Samsung. :laugh:
Just go to the App drawer and then tap the “Widgets” tab on the top, to open all the available widgets. You will see a 1×1 widget named “Assistive light” which is the one you need to hold and place it as a widget somewhere on one of the home screens.
It seems to be slowing my phone down, it happened earlier today, i've tried rebooting etc, but nothing has fixed it.. my only option is to reinstall the rom again, but i have had the rom installed for a few months now?
if anyone knows what this is please help !
thank you.

That means you have no notifications on. Press volume and change it to 'All' and it'll disappear
None = 'No entry' symbol
Priority = Star
All = No extra icon
thanks wow, im stupid at times ! hahaha
once again thank you !

The icon is for "Do Not Disturb". Try to go into volume settings and check the ringer is turned on; or see if you have any other toggles or widgets which may have activated DND mode.
Can you please share here how the volume panel behaves when you push one of the volume buttons?
On my H815 (bought from Germany, recently 10C sw) only the ringer volume slider appears no second panel for zen mode (do not disturb). I know that not being able to set the phone into silent mode is a "normal" lollipop behavior but I miss the zen mode as well.

While preparing my Hybrid Theme I analyzed the SystemUI and enabled zen mod which effected the quick settings panel only.
The zen mode panel code is there but cannot find a way to activate it.
I found this article but I do not have such menu in Settings.
I wonder if it is the same situation on other variants.
Thank you in advance.
PS: Maybe you have also realized on the G4 LG changed the volume panel background from the shadowed dialog background to simple white color no shadows. I simply cannot understand such unreasonable changes.
Nobody? Would really help for further development of mods.

I posted this in the Pixel forum as well.
So I just recently noticed that I cannot adjust the volume while on a phone call. The volume buttons trigger the slider, and the slider moves, but the volume does not change. Also, the volume slider doesn't go all the way down. It stops at about the 15-20% mark. Here's a screenshot of the volume slider as low as it will go:

After some searching, I found a PIxel User Community post on the same topic, and posted there as well: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/phone-by-google/P0Lc5nX-Huk
I also found a news item from last summer, describing a similar problem with the Nexus 5: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Goog...l-bug-brought-on-by-the-latest-update_id83468
The following description from back then is far too much like what is going on with my phone to be a coincidence:
"Some of the issues that users are complaining about include the inability to adjust the volume during a call, even though the slider does move. Another complaint found on the AOSP Issue Tracker includes one from a Nexus 5 user who is unable to move the volume slider under the second lowest position."

So, is anyone else here having the same issue? Any ideas on a fix?
I have been missing or reading messages way to late because my phone doesnt wake its screen for a notification of messenger. It does wake for other apps like snapchat and others.
Is there a setting that I have missed? Cause I have been digging through all the settings.
My honor 7x is running EMUI 8.0.0.336.

There is an option in either display or notifications part of the settings app where it will allow your phone to turn on for notifications.
In het notification settings for Messenger I have all the bells and whistles enabled, I don't see anything particular in the display part and I also know that Snapchat does wake up the screen.
Here is a screenshot of the notification settings for Messenger, sorry for the dutch language!
