https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5pZG1vYmlsZS5mbGFzaGxpZ2h0Il0.

Set the shake option on so you can turn on the torch by shaking the phone in the lock screen. the blue seekbar allows to you to increase or decrease the sensitivity of the phone movement sensor

Torch on Samsung Galaxy without App
You do not need any app to install to use as Torch on Samsung.
Just go to the App drawer and then tap the “Widgets” tab on the top, to open all the available widgets. You will see a 1×1 widget named “Assistive light” which is the one you need to hold and place it as a widget somewhere on one of the home screens.

So I've recently noticed that once you hit home when you are using any app, you get this sort of short cut screen, is there any way to get rid of it?

This should be in the Q&A section, but to answer the question this recent shortcut screen is displayed only when you press and hold the home button, if you just press the home button without holding it takes you to the home screen of your preferred launcher. I'm not sure if its possible to disable this.
Been around since at least android 2.0. Eclair

I don't know how you get that.
When I'm in "any app", and press home - I get home.
If I'm in "any app" and hold home, I get the typical shortcut box.
All I get when I hold home is the task manager screen which is what's supposed to happen when you do that. I've never seen that screen before.
This screen displays when phone thinks it's in a desktop dock.
Thank you for the info, I rebooted and it went away, again thanks!

Is there a way to enable screen brightness on the notification bar? I miss this feature from the LG g2.
I thought it's already there by default?
From what I'm reading, the ATT G3 doesn't have it at all (no option to enable it either).
Hit the edit button at the end of the quick toggles. There is an option to enable the brightness slider, at least on the T-Mobile G3.

Yes, I have the AT&T g3 and I can't seem to find the option. Now I know they removed it completely.
AT&T phone doesn't have that as an option...

Move the brightness over on the first page of the toggles. If you hold it it takes you to the setting. It's an extra step, but still not that bad.
If that doesn't work for you try Lux. You can set any space on the screen to adjust the brightness by sliding. Would work good on part of the status bar. You can also set your own values to auto adjust. Just some thoughts. [emoji6]
Sprint version doesn't have the slider option either unfortunately.
This is a duplicate thread I posted this question earlier.

Not sure why but the software for the S-pen doesn't work for the always on display and the pop up that came up when you took the pen out of the phone when the display was already on. It doesn't come up either but the phone makes the noise that it's supposed to when the S-pen is removed. I'm guessing I updated some Samsung apps that affected this. Anybody have this happen. The pen still works when I open up Samsung Note manually or hit draw from a screen shot.
Try to trun off always on display and see if that works.

Also check your S pen settings. I turned the screen off memo option off and phone reacted as you described.

Dorch - Dual TorchIts been a while that some newer devices devices now have both Front and Back flash for capturing photos so there but be an app for toggling both of them as torch.
Background:
I recently bought Moto Z Play that had both front and back flashlight but i couldn't find an App that can toggles both of them at same time in store (or maybe I am bad at searching), so I developed one.
Its just a clean simple app that serves the purpose of flashlight toggling and nothing else.

Thanks for this app. Works nice on my Z Play.
Cool thanks

Thanks, nice idea.
Can you make a third button for switching the display to white full brightness.
Then it would be a cool torch for dark rooms

Well that could be done too. I don't always liked the display screen as a torch idea because it could be dangerous for display.
I might add this feature but cannot assure you.
Btw thanks for your suggestion and interest
Hi,
Is there way to disable the notifications of the battery charging when screen is off.
Don't like this option at night.
I attached a picture of the text I am talking. But when the screen is all black.
Best regards

None yet, as far as I know. Hopefully Sam will either remove it or give you the option of turning the freakin' display off with the next update.
It's crazy that turning off AOD doesn't disable that.

My workaround is using this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ccswe.appmanager.samsung
You just need to disable AOD service and that's it.
Enable it after charging is completed and thats it.
Its like 10 seconds of work before putting the phone on charger.
Little power
It uses little power and it's not static so not an issue of any consequence.
I use the Goodlock apps to change it's color and clock style.
Normally it always is running; it's very useful for me.
About a 1% per hour battery drain when running with clock.
You can also manually set it's brightness to the lowest level but it won't be visible except at night.
Turning off AOC should leave you with a completely blank off screen (no screen lock is set on my phone though).
