I heard a while ago there would be a way to bypass your lockscreen if your moto 360 is connected. Is there a way to do this through a 3rd party or root?
It's built- in in lollipop...

You can do it with "Tasker" and "Secure Settings" also, Got it running on mine.
If u have xposed framework. Install no lock home. Works with fingerprint scanner too.

Thanks, I'll have to check that one out. Here's the XDA thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-lock-home-v0-1-wifi-unlock-t2799087
Dislock (formerly Pebble Locker) from the Play Store also works. It only supports one device and does not support any lock other than pin or password, but it's free. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lukekorth.pebblelocker.
"Wear Unlock" in the app store does the job, works fine for the rest of us not on lollipop yet.

Great! Thank you. But it really doesn't work with lollipop?
Is there something we can do to run it with lp?
Edit: just found out, there's already an fingerprint app locker on lp under phone management... Works great
Exactly. Why would you need another app for it if already one is integrated.
EDIT: and it's FREE

Maybe because the integrated one lacks a lot of features?! For exemple, an app like this should have some settings to allow you to unlock all locked apps when you unlock one of the locked apps... and to set a grace period after which all aps are locked again (1-5-10 mins or when you lock the device). Like CM Locker has. The integrated app doesn't have any such settings... it's a poor implementation, I hope it will be developed in thr future OS versions...
On Lollipop the V10 used it's own fingerprint software for the lockscreen. After the MM upgrade, the Google fingerprint thing is now integrated into the system. That means now you can use your finterprints to unlock apps. A popular app that was not supported while on Lollipop works perfectly fine now:
App Lock: Fingerprint&Password by KeepSafe
If you find other apps which support fingerprint unlocking, please post it below.

Dropbox can be unlocked with a fingerprint as well. The option can be found in settings, where you set your PIN.

KeePass2Android. Password database can now be unlocked via fingerprint (see settings}.

Appreciate the heads up about keepass2android. Works so much better than keepassdroid. Now if I could figure out how to automate the export of lastpass to a csv file I'd be set.

MaxLock (xposed) can use fingerprint too on my v10. I lock all apps I want with maxlock and i can unlock all of them using fingerprint. I was surprised when i saw it because i didn't know maxlock can be used with fingerprint. It's amazing
Hello,
Every once in a while I get the Yelp! sponsored ad on the lock screen. I've tried turning it off from the Settings of the Blinkfeed (as I saw it supposedly worked with previous HTCs) but it doesn't on the 10. Anyone know the answer to my question?
Thanks,
Marius
I've never once had ads on my lockscreen. You must have some bad app that's sending you ads via notifications.

Not sure if you have it but es file explorer will cause ads on the lock screen with its own quick charge screen. Haven't had any since I uninstalled it.
I already turned off 'interest based ads' from Settings>Personalize>Manage Ads. By the way, I use the Google Now Launcher, so the Manage Ads option only shows when I have Sense Home selected as the default launcher. I'm still getting yelp ads in the lock screen.

Maybe, because I'm not using the Sense Home launcher, the OFF setting for the Interest based ads is not sticking?
It drives me nuts and I don't see that on the Verizon version. Something Verizon probably removed so you can't turn it off... So annoying

You are lucky because it always asks if in hungry and places to eat. I haven't added any new app from my other phones. I haven't been able to find it.

That app recently had an update that had some lock screen bs included. Had a battery icon on it and all.
There's another app I had a couple months back that did the same thing too. If you have sense apps ads disabled , it's likely an app that turned spammy.

Its definitely not from the stock software. My wife had the same thing happen last week on her note. It took a while but found out it was PIP software for taking selfies. Here is a great article that should help get rid of them. http://www.slashgear.com/android-ads-on-your-lockscreen-and-how-to-destroy-them-05438921/. It lists some common sources for these ads:
• Amber Weather Widget
• ES App Locker
• GO apps (of note: GO Weather, GO SMS, GO Keyboard, Next Browser)
• Kingo Root
• KittyPlay Wallpapers, Ringtones
• TouchPal apps (TouchPal makes multiple keyboard apps)
• Xender (file transfer app)
• Zero Team apps (of note: Z Camera)
The yelp and restaurant ads are because you enabled personalization in sense home. It's tracking your location and usually offering restaurants nearby.

check on blinkfeed settings>manage adds>turn off internet based ads. thought i read somewhere that caused lock screen ads too.
I figured it out, no thanks to Verizon IT. It's a google ad. Go to your chrome browser. Click on the three dots, Settings, Site Settings, Cookies, uncheck "allow third-party cookies" box. BOOM!
I just started getting the exact same kind of ads! Cannot find any information on the Internet about how to eliminate them.
Some flashlight apps throw ads like that, have you got a flashlight app?

I've been using Solid Explorer since ES started with all of that junk, maybe a year ago or so...? I did try the Chrome suggestion from above (the third party cookies tick box) and so far so good. Thanks to all for all of the posts! Much appreciated!
Hi!
Can't figure this out.
Want to unlock certain apps (Amex, Bank) via fingerprint , but don't want it for unlocking phone (just swipe is enough for me).
Is this not possible???
Thank you!!

It is possible, just download any 3rd party app locker. Most of them come with finger print support.
Not the safest option out there but Be sure to lock settings as well because someone can easily uninstall the app from app manager.
Thank you for your reply.
Maybe I did not explain myself well enough.
Some apps use the fingerprint mechanism to unlock themselves without password.
So let's say your bank app. Instead of putting the long password every time, and if the devs implemented it, you can LOGIN via fingerprint.
That's great.
The problem is that I don't see an option to disable fingerprint for unlocking the device while still using that for app login.
It works just like that on my iPhone. For some reason I either am missing something, or Android just won't allow you to do this.....

I'm getting your point. You don't want anything on your lock screen but passwords(or fingerprint) on your sensitive apps . Android doesn't natively supports it (maybe a custom ROM had this). If you can root and install Xposed (rooting can make some banking apps unusable), give max lock (Xposed module) a try. If you don't know what these are, I recommend you to rely on lockscreen (third party options aren't always safe)
Hi.
Is there any way to pass over the country restrictions to install and use Good Lock? I got the N975F and cannot install it from the Samsung App Store because of that.
Thanks!
This has been discussed at lenght, you can download "nice lock" and "nice lock downloader companion"
Search for it here in XDA
Nicelock has problem with Quickstar modules where disabling battery icon works but upon reboot, it will appear again. Have to manually go into nicelook -> Quickstar to disable again. Annoying. That's why I went back to goodlock using vpn tricks.

Fine Lock PRO is a waaaay better Good Lock alternative. It links you to APK Mirror, notifies about updates and even gives some really good advice, advice I'm copy-pasting here:

To activate/deactivate NotiStar, and keep QuickStar changes after reboot, you need Good Lock installed. You can grab it from here. After installing it, you can hide Good Lock icon from the launcher. I don't know what happens behind the scene but it needs to be that way. Otherwise, it won't work.

Um..tried Fine Lock Free version from google play. Same problem with nicelock w manual hide for battery icon issue. Not gonna shell out pretty penny for the pro version since the free version doesnt work.
