I have been searching around the forums for help on reflashing a stock rooted ROM for the Xperia Arc.
I'm kinda new to rooting, and recently flashed Cyanogenmod 7.1 onto my Arc. I would now like to return back to a rooted stock SE ROM - what is the easiest way to achieve this?
Sorry if this is a double post
Any help appreciated
Have a read of the stickys - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=963
Thanks
Managed to reflash the Stock ROM
I go crazy and don't find anything
Can you please give me a little more details on how you did it? For me no boot.img is working with the rooted image I have to my phone.
Thanks a lot!

This is official stock image build backed up cwm recovery fastboot flash. just unrar then drag folder to your backup folder inside your clockworkmod folder on your phone then open rom manager then click restore, then your back to stock,or just go into recovery and select restore ,if you use or dl it plz click the thx button ,it is not rooted nothing added or taken away , pure STOCK,,,,4.0.4 IMM76D ,,XXLA2,,,,, http://www.mediafire.com/file/ca2ixixe5wqr5dm/2012-03-30.16.49.54.rar
Do you have to be on 4.0.2 to do that? or you can be on any custom rom and then just restore with that??

The stock radio is not that bad, i see no diffirence between the new radio and that of kk6
this is not for Nexus or S2?
and this is will wipe all thing? and go to orginal one?
and this is for GSM or LTE?
Is it possible to flash this over Stock rooted 4.0.2 without user data wipe?
great
firstly thanks and all that - very happy
and please dont flame me but im amazed there are folk who dont know what RAR is , i cant imagine how you can get to the point where you feel the desire to root a phone but somehow havent heard the term unrar !!
again im not having a dig its just an observation, may be im just too old and rar is a format some folk have never come across
heres to WINRAR and other extracting tools LOL
Like the other user stated, this has also been the easiest upgrade for me. Went straight from 4.0.1 to 4.0.4. Used the Nexus Toolkit to restore root, Clockwork, etc. I have tried flashing to 4.0.4 on two other occasions with other ROMs and had the odd issue. Thanks!

When I did this, I had to ODIN the stock .tar file back on to fix it. I could still get into download mode, but not CWM
Go here and get ODIN(if you don't already have it)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722686
Go here for your stock ROM(I hope you remember which you were on)
EDIT - you're on a Canadian model, not sure if the stock file is the same as the AT&T version but if it is
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737848
When I did it, all my apps and everything was still there, but I had to redo the root and reinstall CWM again.

I just switched over from iOS and found the guides on here were easy to follow and didn't have any issues . Getting the right downloads is probably the key
And what do you mean by "Phone will not fully boot after flashing a rom" How far does it go when booting and what happens?
Just boot screen doesn't fully boot

It is worth the trouble if...
A. You know what you are doing.
B. You read and research.
C. You know how to recover in the event something goes wrong.
Flashing isn't for everyone. Even if you follow directions things can still go wrong in rare situations. That's just the nature of flashing.

I have just installed CM10 following this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231953
Then I realized than my Grand was working great, but I can't make phone calls. I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317298
and tried to flash the modem file from there using ODIN, but when I try to do it, it always ends with "fail". I don't want to go back to stock rom, anyone can give me some help?
thanks in advance

If you've got the FAIL message is probably because your phone is the i9082 and not the i9082l.

Thanks! It didn't work because my phone is the i9080l, the one without dual sim.
How can I find some modem file for i9080l instead of i9082l? I think if I can find it my phone should work.

I am sure someone can help you with that or tell you the procedure how to extract modem file.
Instead of giving your post just "[Q]" as the title, if you write a few words briefing your problem, you might get more replies.
"[Q]" makes no sense to anyone. Please change the title of this thread.

Hey guys. I have a quick question, hopefully somebody can help me out. I tried to de-bloat my Galaxy Note 2 (T-mobile) thanks to this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507931
After I used the script and my phone reseted, I got a message saying "Updating apps" or something like that, and it seemed to update about 150 apps. The point of the scripts on that thread are so all the bloatware that the phone brings can be eliminated, but after the update completes I still got all the bloatware there. Can anybody help me out with this please?

Debloater will remove the apps from /system. The problem is, if the apps were updated from the market, they will still reside in /data/app. You will also have to delete them from there.
