[Q] Messed up bootanimation...... please help - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100, i recently made a bootanimation with a video. In the desc.txt file, I accidentally start the first line with 'c' instead of 'p'. After reboot, no matter how long i wait, the screen stay blank. The device is On ( because I felt the vibration). What should i do?? one time when put my screen in landscape, only half of the screen is displayed. and it only stay like for 1 second. Help me !!!!!! I tried factory reset, clear cache and try to flash a new bootanimation. But nothing work.

You should download a stock firmware then flash it via Odin.

[Q] Soft brick, neverending booting / boot loop. Am i doing this right?

Hi Guys.
So i flashed a few roms lately. started with EmotionMiUi then CM10, Omega, Alliance and well a few more.
i did a full wipe and cleared all caches each times and only had a few minor problems with the different ROMS that i was able to fix.
So i now returned to MiUi and have had it running for about a week. Tried some DPi modding yesterday, and did notice that it took longer time to boot and boot into recovery. i flashed the Xpose DPi remover, and continued using my phone. i have rebooted about 3 times today. And the last reboot caused the phone to enter the eternal "Samsung Galaxy Note II - N7100" boot static "animation".
Now i have tried pulling the battery several times, tried booting into recovery and the only thing that will let me boot into anything is power + home + volume down.
i have obtained the official samsung firmware ROM for my phone.
is my way ahead to "just" flash it using Odin, and i will have my good times back ?
Maybe try to clear Data and Cache partitions first?

Just to clear you're stuck at the start screen( the screen it shows Note 2 and model number)?
If so, then i have no clue
If your phone goes in a bootloop ( startscreen then samsung logo animation, blank screen, start screen, samsung logo animation...) I have faced this issue while flashing Stock ROMs and you can clear this by doing a factory reset though i have no clue whether this is the correct one for MIUI ROM.

i was stuck at the very first startscreen that just stayed there. i had been messing around with some DPi and a lot of tweaks.
i used Odin from my PC to flash the official firmware, then i used Philz recovery to format and clean before flashing my MiUi V5 ROM.
ALL works great.

[Q] Can't get past "Samsung Galaxy Note II" screen on reboot

I recently flashed a Pacman 4.3 ROM and today decided to restore my phone back to my stock/rooted Nandroid file that I made beforehand. Used CWM and, after it said the restore was completed, I went to reboot and have been unable to get past the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" bootscreen. It'll go to that screen for a bit and then the entire screen will go black, requiring me to take out and reinsert the battery to do anything else. I can get it into recovery mode and download mode and have tried using factory resets, cache clears, and Odin to try and reset everything back to the original stock firmware, but so far nothing has worked. Every time, I wind up looking at the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" screen for a bit and then the entire screen shuts off.
Can this phone be saved or am I SOL?
Edit: If I take the battery out and put it back in and don't try to turn on the phone, I can plug my phone into my charger and I get a visual on the screen saying the battery is charging and the LED lights up red. For what it's worth.

This is gonna sound like a long shot, but are you sure your battery has juice? I had something very similar to what happened to you on a tablet I owned. I thought the device was messed up, but it was just really low on battery somehow. Left it sitting on the charger for a few hours and it came back.

Thanks for the help guys, I managed to fix it. What I did was download the stock ROM file from here: (can't post the URL for some reason) and then opened Odin, put it in the PDA slot, put my phone into Download Mode, connected it to my computer, and ran it. Phone rebooted back to a factory reset version.
The link I used is from a site called "Stockroms" and, after typing stockroms, add the following to the URL: .net/file/GalaxyNote2/SGH-I317/I317UCAMA4_I317ATTAMA4_ATT.zip

samsung galaxy s3 t999 boot loop need help please

hello every one i have another gs3 with another boot loop issue. so on first sight the phone looks good. it will turn on and show the screen saying "samsung galaxy sIII" but after that it goes black and 3 seconds later it vibrates then another 3 seconds and it vibrates again and then 3 more seconds and the boot screen is back displaying "samsung galaxy sIII". it will not boot in to recovery mode, however i can get to odin mode or download mode. it has never bin rooted, and it has stock rom, but i did try rooting it throu odin mode and it failed multiple times as well as the phone would display "unsupported format"? i have seen this before and it ended up being a power button and well i tried replacing that with no effect. i also noticed that when you do try booting the phone into recovery mode it will say "recoverybooting" in blue letters at the top left hand corner but just keeps boot looping, i need to recover the data on the phone since i was going to back it up but could not do it in time lmao!!!! any help or suggestions would be appreciated, i have bin at this for days now and my chances are looking dim some one said reinstal the stock rom throu odin mode i guess my only question is will reinstalling stock rom wipe my data or no?

[Q] shutdown.qmg problems, help!

hi there! I'm kind of new here so bare with me please!
so I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 2014 edition, and immediately went in and started messing around with the boot animations,I went in and accidentally got rid of the shutdown.qmg file but I thought I found a replacement one on this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1696903 form. unfortunately, it did not work and now my tablet refuses to shutdown or restart.every time I attempt to shutdown or restart it gives me a black screen for about 30 seconds before turning back on and going to the lock screen. it would be great if I could shut down my tablet again without having to reset the whole thing.
Thanks!

Not sure what the problem is but what i would do is try to flash this tab s boot animation here. This is the one i use for my note.I do think i had this problem before and i couldnt figure out what is was and had to flash my rom over again. It wont hurt to try to flash this as it wont make anything worse.

Try go to each of the qmg files and change their permissions or all read write and execute. I had the same problem

Galaxy Tab Pro Splash Screen Problem

I was playing around with my Tablet. Being a mad scientist trying to get root working on 5.1.1 and I did something that messed up the First boot screen that says. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro. Well its not there any more just a crazy screen lol Some times its a whiteish screen like static some times I swear it was my desktop after it boots up. The tablet boots up just fine. But the First Splash screen is toast. Anyone know the way to fix that?
EDIT: I have tried reflashing the whole 5.1.1 update with ODIN and still the first boot screen is bonkers.
I believe there is two logos, one is built into the kernel / boot (the one that says Galaxy Tab Pro), then the other animated logo is stored under /system/media/bootsamsung.qmg (Swirling Samsung Logo), so it sounds like something with the kernel or boot loader is messed up
I would try doing a factory reset, (you will loose all data), then a re-flash, if that doesn't help you might try to downgrade the firmware to kitkat (if possible) then re-upgrade again, maybe it skips flashing the boot loader if its already the same version ...but really it might not be worth the hassle if it's just the logo...

Try reflashing with Bootloader as you have nothing to loose
