SPRIT FM Its a most happy day for me becoz FM got working for me after a long time. I'm from India, Kerala. Using setting as below.
Downloaded from above link
Band - All other than Japan
Audio>Method>Galaxy S3/Note/S2_ICS (its most important since for me it started working when i switch to this setting)
ALL OTHER DEFAULT
SELinux status -Permissive
Root Access Provided by SUPER SU

It needs updated super su so flash latest version of chainfire and also you need to selinux app to make it permissive read posts in this thread

was missing FM Radio in many CM based roms
Saw many people asking for FM Radio in development section
Since some roms like Resurrection Remix, Temask etc decided not to include FM radio along with the rom which is CM based
pulled the FMradio from CM12 and made flashable zip. this is As Is from the CM rom no modification done
How to install
Flash this in your favorite recovery
Tested with RR rom working fine

i just flashed this on my xt1032 gpe 5.0.1 and all seems to be working fine
That's great news! I don't use the gpe rom, but that way you get the fm radio back.
not working on htc one s (ville) on latest cm12 nightly.
no sound!
spirit fm works fine.

If you are on cm12 nightly FM should be included in the ROM. I guess

Probably you flashed an equalizer like DSP Manager or V4A, it won't work

How did you get it working??? App works fine can open and all but can't get stations. Set it on country band but not working. Get FM operation failed?

Open the zip file and find the path of incluuded files
delete the respective files in your system directory
Parse error, download the file three times...

I don't tried yet, but works in all but u hv to change SElinux status to Premissive, also op stated to uninstall other equalizers l....

Im using Zapdos v1.1 it's stable for me dolby works......
Use the one from apps and games section that gets updated.

Just have to remove lines under Dolby dap in audio config in system before flashing. I have tested till 6.3
No need of changing selinux. Works with any kernel and rom.
There is a new version that might work without editing audio config but not yet tested by me.

Not working on stock 5.0.2(De-bloated version Rooted) Tried with custom Kernel too, changed SELinux to permissive,disable Nu player Dolby Atmos open no error but no effects and it was working on CM 12.1 with Custom Kernel i have tried 6.3 and 6.5 ...

Get the logs for stock rom and give it to op. He will solve it.
I don't use stock. Sorry. Works great on custom rom.

I think tune in would be the best for all the languages. And it has good quality than ordinary fm apps
Tunein pro version is available just google it.

Oh Iam sorry i didnt notice u want an offline app.
If u ve miui rom downloaded on ur pc locate the fm app and MIUI sdk apk. Now install both the apps in ur custom rom. I installed miui camera apk by this way. so i think this method would work for u. Just try it.
Do let me know if this works.

I don't see any benefits of full custom ROM over Magisk module. There is no any plan for full ROM.

It has nothing to do with rom. You can simply run system-rw script from twrp. You don't need custom rom for that
