I've just received new note 3 from T-Mobile (w/ $100 off promotion).
What's the best or easiest way to have unrestricted tethering with unlimied data plan for latest firmware? Thanks!!
Best and easiest way, call up tmobile and have them add more tethering data!

Easiest and most overlooked way is to root and install xposed
framework then download and enable X Tether it just starts the devices tethering without going though the T-Mobile account verification
Thanks!!
I just got the Note 3 myself.
I hope someone could clarify if I'm seeing the situation correctly...
If I don't want to trip the Knox counter, but I want to mod through Xposed, then I'm just flying blind without a custom recovery, right? There are no other reliable ways to back up my device before tinkering with Xposed?

I know there are other threads about international rom on tmobile s4 but none says anything about stock roms.
I flashed stock I9505 Rom on my tmobile galaxy s4 through CWM and worked flawlessly. It is much better than tmobile, bug free, has APP to SD, and is latest Samsung firmware.Everything works including 4G LTE without adding APN. Alos, you can get free hotspot without hacking.
Grab the rom you want from the below link and flash it through TWRP or CWM. Dont need to flash the file through ODIN for wifi fix ( its for international).
When you flash remove KNOX files via Root Explorer or Titanium Backup.

UPDATE:
Some users reported that they have problem with wifi.
Just to be safe and have working wifi, you can flash KTOONSEZ Kernel.

At SamMobile they have GT-I9505 Galaxy S 4 LTE Netherlands T-Mobile that is new that might work for SGH-M919. This is for Developer olny. I dont have SGH-M919 to try it on. If you do its at your own risk. It might hard brick you device and it might not.

With the hacked Wi-Fi hotspot.
You need to read about each rom........then your question will be answered.
Hey thanks!.........
A stock rom
The closest to stock I found for 4.4.2 was Blazed ROM. It hasn't been rid of boat. Wi-Fi works too, I use it and use fennys updated kernel and WiFi hack. The blazed ROM comes with fennys first kernal.

You can hack the stock rom pretty easily to get the WiFi hotspot hack. You just need root and a little work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52794746&postcount=166

Thank you, I may just hack the stock rom. I have a metro pcs s4, but it's unlocked. Wondering if I can use a stock tmobile rooted rom

I also have a MetroPCS s4.. It fine to go ahead and use any rom from this thread..I also tried the i9505 roms. . Is compatible with our s4... currently running pheonix rom with all the s5 features. .. wireless tethering works great to. ..
I need to find a stock updated rooted T-Mobile rom that works. Any ideas?
Found fennys, but it doesn't work properly
I'm unlocked and still on 4.3, and I'm wondering whether or not I can use a T-Mobile ROM on my Note 3 without borking it. I'm on TMob right now and it's working great, I just hate these unnecessary AT&T apps. Would it make sense to flash a new ROM and modem or simply remain content as is?

If your main or only reason to switch to a tmobile rom is
to get rid of at&t bloatware then why not simply go to the
playstore and download/install "NoBloat" to get rid of all
the at&t unnecessary and unwanted apps.
Here is the direct download link for "NoBloat":
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tvkdevelopment.nobloatfree
Goodl luck!
Well it's that and that I would like to essentially turn this into a T-Mobile phone. Seems like you guys have more ROMs than the AT&T version, and I'd like to fix whatever I need to so I can just flash T-Mobile ROMs and not bork my phone. Figured there were some modem issues or something that I needed to fix
Also I forgot to say thank you for the debloating app!
I just had a quick question, I received my unlock code from T-Mobile and I was wondering if it is necessary to go back to stock touchwiz ROM in order to unlock it or not?
I'm currently running cm11

I'm curious as well. I'm gonna be switching to AT&T next week sometime but I'm running slimkat.
Curious to know if I need to flash a stock ROM in order for it activate on AT&T.
Yes. Its been my experience aosp doesn't have the native apks/binaries required to successfully complete the unlock

Cool thanks. Now my next question is do I flash a T mobile ROM or AT&T?
Btw sorry for hijacking your post.
You'll get reception regardless as long as AP is set properly. Go with whatever you prefer.
So a question I've been curious about, Why'd you root? Did you root to use apps that require root or did you do it to install awesome custom ROMs? Did you to it for any other reason?

The first reason is the addiction to custom roms..
I cannot stand stock ROMs and I wanted the latest version of android.

Because why not? It's a Linux based software, we should do whatever we can to it to make it better! Root, install custom ROMs, build ROMs, modify them, kernels, everything! For a better "UX" - User Experience
a few reasons:
1. Custom Roms! Its fun....
2. I dont mind stock roms... but I hate the stock firmware that the service providers provide on the phone (bloatware and locked down functionality, etc...)
3. and as you mentioned, many good apps require root. Such as titanium back up which I love using.
I just had to go back to stock as I was soft bricked, and after less than 24 hours I can't stand the bloatware, I have to enter my APN info (CM includes a bunch from the get-go), and tethering doesn't authorize. So I'm on XDA looking for the root procedure and I'll be looking for the (hopefully) perfect ROM soon.
The phone is old enough, maybe you won't get lollipop and every other major update. With root you can get whatever you want.
