I just got a moto 360 and have it paired with my nexus 7. The watch stays connected fine until the battery gets to around 60% and then it will disconnect after 15 minutes. The only way I've been able to recover is to restart the watch. Android wear app shows it connected. If I try to disconnect and then reconnect through the android wear app it refuses to reconnect until I restart the watch. I tried contacting moto but the chat said they didn't have tools to support moto360 and when I called the person on the other end of the phone didn't even try to help and said comtact Google.
I have Endomondo installed on my phone and with the recent update a few weeks ago they added wear support. Thing is, it really drains the battery. So I want to just use Endomondo on my phone, but not my watch. For some reason, whenever I start the app on my phone, I still get excessive battery drain. The app on the phone and the app on the watch still must be communicating with one another. Can you just uninstall an app off the watch?

Anyone figure this out? Accuweather now has Wear compatibility. I don't need that on my watch but I do want to keep it on my phone
When you get the notification, swype to the right a couple of times and select block app..
Android Wear App on your phone -> Settings -> Block Apps
Does anybody have a solution to the constant sync loop? I've read a few post about it but most were issues with cm Roms. I am running an att s4 with Google play edition ROM and a touchwiz stock kernal. Phone and moto 360 will connect fine for a while then out of the blue (usually after reboot) it will get stuck at running sync loop which destroys my phone battery. Any help or work around would be appreciated. I've already tried rebooting, resetting, toggling Bluetooth, hiring the resync all apps button in the android wear app, deleting all wear apps ...nothing I do makes any difference. I can get all notifications on the 360 just fine too.
thats normal. It just means that your watch is connected to your phone.
Nothing to worry about
Normal is when it just says connected. When it says "connected running sync loop" it won't let my phone go into deep sleep and kills battery on phone in about an hour
i just got this today also.. had watch for 2 months and its always said connected.. it has something to do with google play services.. my phone updated google services automatically and right after i got the "running sync loop" message... but i don't know anything about google services..
from other threads it has been determined that this is what will be shown, after the Google Play Services 6.5 update
im getting it too.. not sure if its killing battery or not. but it seems to be.
i will know after this charge.
Definitely due to the Play Services update and is, at least in my case, definitely impacting battery life on phone.
I was able to turn off dev features and USB debugging and it now says connecting only.

How do you do that? Is that on the watch or phone?

depedns on the phone, but it's all in the settings, if you don't have Developer options, try this trick..
http://www.valuewalk.com/2013/11/developer-options-on-nexus-5-or-android-4-4-kitkat/
then make sure they are all turned off. so far its working for me. good luck.
Just wanted to chime in and say +1 it being Google play services. Batter went from 80% to dead within 2 hours immediately after update and constant sync loop message. Will try the posted fixes momentarily.

This worked for me as well i even went in and turned everything back on and it still says connected. Wonder if i wilk have to this everytime after a reboot or ky watch gets disconnected
This is not a bug.. No issues with it being displayed... Doesn't eat battery... It is the new display for those with developer options on phone enabled... Thinks you are a developer and gives more information.... Also displays xx seconds to connect if the connection is lost and it is retrying . .Also you get new bug reporting options in android wear app settings
If you don't want it displayed, disable developer options and reconnect to watch

i think it is killing my battery. my watch is draining at 6+%/hour (normally 2%).

I did find that it is attached to Dev mode, but yea, I am seeing a battery drain when it's on! if I need dev mode, i will just turn it back on when i need it. otherwise, i will save my battery.
im seeing no change in battey.
as it stands right now, i took the watch off the charger at 8am and now 8 hours later i am at 71 percent. i have ambient screen on and the sync loop message displays.
many times during the day i walk away from the phone so its sniffing the phone out at times and my wrist is always moving, plus the novelty of the watch is still new to me so im checking it, swapping watch faces, etc.
im running a watch face from watchmaker and i have the connect app and android wear app running along with the hart rate card thingy.
Asus, Samsung and Motorola have all been rolling out Android Wear 1.5. Any idea if our watch will be getting it? Supposedly the list of improvements is minor, mostly bug fixes, but includes connection stability fixes.
I know my connection drops occasionally for no reason I can figure out. I'm using Marshmallow stock on an S5 and I've got Doze disabled for Android Wear, yet too often I look at my watch and it shows disconnected, as soon as I turn my phone on or run the app on my phone, it successfully connects.

So I have a Moto 360 gen 1 and Samsung Galaxy Edge+. I just got the Nougat update on the phone.
After the update, my watch has been draining battery like crazy. I usually got a full day out of it and charged it fully at night. Now, I can't even get to 5pm.
I reset the watch and re-synced with the phone. No change. This morning it's draining at a rate of about 20%/hour which means I will hardly make it past lunch. I also don't even get call notifications now.
I'm fiddling with Android wear and watch settings to try to disable any unneeded app (I only use the watch for basic notification and step counts).
Hello,
About Nougat and Moto 360 ... I received it on my Moto G4 a few weeks ago and I'm not experiencing any battery drain.
Watch battery behaviour is the same as before when phone was in Marshmallow.

try uninstalling updates on Google Play Services (some app will prompt and make you update again, do that).
Uninstall and install all apps that have Wear app as well (like what apps show in Wear, uninstall the app in phone and reinstall and sync the watch in Android Wear app settings)
With such draining its just best to turn off everything unnecessary. Or turn off watch completely. With all resetting and resyncing, the watch will be dead soon anyways.. But probably it was just syncing or updating something by itself and you interrupted it by the reset so it had to do all the syncing again, draining the battery again ..
