[Q] Battery Replacement - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Q&A, Help & Troubl

Hey guys!
Recently, my brother's Note 10.1 2014 P600 died recently because he had not charged it since it turned off from natural battery discharge when the tablet was on about two weeks ago. When he did try to charge the tablet it showed the battery charging symbol for a minute, but the screen hasn't turned on since, even when he tried holding down the power button. He also had clean rom installed and was obviously rooted. I was thinking of getting him a battery replacement kit for the holidays, but maybe it was something else?
What do you all think?

[Q] How should I troubleshoot my (allegedly) battery related issues ?

... before I try to send the phone out for warranty.
Turns out, I bought a docomo samsung galaxy nexus (from negri). I have not received for a while (out of the country) but finally got my hands onto it last saturday. I booted the device, no simcard, just load the configuration. For any reason, it stayed on my desk all week discharging.
Yesterday I tried to unlock the thing and it was dead. I remove the battery, fired it up and still nothing. Then I connect the wall charger, it is from my current phone, a galaxy s2. It charged for two hours or something, i then tried to boot, but it was stuck. I performed the boot on recovery mode, and it finally solved the issues and here we go, the phone booted correctly. I unlocked the phone, just to see that the battery information is 0% and the phone just went off as I saw the power usage statistics. And this time for good, its been sitting charged but nothing happens. I tried the legacy s2 charger, my car charger, and the original nexus charger that was sent on the box.
Since is a new phone for me, I do not know how what to expect. For example, in my s2, if its charging even with a depleted battery there is this led notification. In the nexus there is nothing. No led, no on screen animation. How can I discard is just a battery issue and not a general fault in the device ? Connected to the charger, is it possible to do something with no battery ?
My intention is to discard the battery issue first, so I might bite the bullet buying a new one, because dealing with the warranty (outside the us) might be a pain.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Weird issue with S3 not charging

I hope someone else has had this issue and can shed some light on it. My phone stopped charging while it was on the charger overnight. I couldn't get it to turn after that... I tried 3 different chargers and no luck... I then took my dad's battery and swapped them his battery worked in mine and mine working days in his and charged with no issue, the next night the same thing happened (with my dad's battery in my phone) I switched the batteries again and it everything worked like last time. So I thought maybe my phone was overheating but prior to switching the batteries I had left my phone sit with no battery for an hour and it didn't help. So what could be causing this issue?

Not charging on stock Note II LTE international version

Hello, I bought the Note 2 LTE when it came out. For the past few months, it seems to me that the battery power gets lost easily. I started to pay more attention the past two days. Even the symbol on the phone indicated that it was charging and that I had the device plugged into the wall outlet the entire night using the charger that came with the device, it did not charge. 2-3 weeks ago, for no reason, the phone suddenly became very hot in my pant. Is the battery failing? Is it time to get a new battery?
My device is not rooted.

[Q] my samsung galaxy tab pro 10.1 won't turn or charge

Hi i just got my samsung galaxy tab pro 10.1 just a few days ago
and it was working fine untill the battery died out. I tried charging it and it won't turn on.
I tried charging it overnight but nothing happened .. I currently live abroad from the US and I can't send it back .. I tried removing the battery then putting it back together but no good.
any solutions ? Please help
I had the same issue, it will only charge off the original charger. It won't charge off a computer USB port, and strangely it won't charge off some sockets in my house. Try the original charger and lead and also try other sockets to see if it is the same issue.

I had the same thing happen on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. After charging it overnight (it acted like it wasn't doing anything), I held the on/off switch for 1 minute (maybe longer) and it FINALLY turned on.
Ongoing problem with battery + motherboard
So either you can remove the back and disconnect battery from motherboard, charge for 20-30 minutes and then reassemble to charge. Or you can trick it into charging by leaving it on reboot screen (power + vol up + home key if it has one) for 30-40 minutes. The motherboard won't let it charge sometimes if battery completely discharges. These are the only 2 workarounds I've found.

Note 2 Will Not Power On Or Charge [SGH-T889/Rooted]

Last night I was using my phone while it was charging, but the battery was being depleted by the apps I was running faster then it was being charged. When it got down to around 3% I decided to call it a night, tapped the power button to turn off the screen, and put my phone on my nightstand so it could charge overnight like I usually do. Shortly after that I heard the phone vibrate where it shut itself off due to the battery dying which I've had happen before while trying to charge my battery when it gets to a very low charge percentage, so I didn't think anything of it and went to sleep.
This morning when I woke up I saw that my phone was stuck on the "Samsung Note II" black bootup screen and tried holding the power button to turn it off. That didn't work so I took out the battery and reinserted it. When I tried to power it back on nothing happened and even though the charger was plugged in there was no red or green charging indicator LED showing.
Since then I've tried taking out the battery and leaving it out while holding the power button for 30 seconds which I read is supposed to clear the RAM in case that is causing an issue. I've also tried connecting my Note 2 to my computer using another charging cable and it still doesn't show as charging or as being connected to my PC. I've had it plugged in for about 3 hours now in case my battery had been completely drained since it may have been stuck on the bootup screen all night long but so far after around 3 hours I'm still not getting any response from my phone.
Now I'm completely at a loss of what to do so I was hoping someone here who had a similar issue could help or if there are any other remedies for troubleshooting I could try go through. I've ordered a replacement battery from amazon which comes with an external charger but I won't be receiving it until Monday. The only other remedy I've found online is removing a capacitor but I'm going to be holding off on doing that until I've exhausted every other option available.
Phone Specs:
Samsung Galaxy Note 2
SGH-T889 (T-Mobile)
Android 4.3 (I think)
Rooted but not running any custom ROMs
