-added SIO scheduler
-enabled CFQ scheduler
-enabled BFQ scheduler
-added SLQB memory allocator
-zram support active

-removed useless governors
--------------------v2.2--------------------
-rewrote overclock support
--------------------v2.3--------------------
-undervolted cpu
-undervolted components (maybe some major battery life improvements)
-minor fixes
--------------------v3.0-------------------- IN TEST
-completely new kernel based on arco and castagnaIT sources.
-undervolted (if someone get crashes, tell me)
-overclocked (up to 2ghz)
-probably better battery life and performance with BFS
-added some new battery friendly governors
-BFS brought some major performance improvements and smoothness (5000+ on antutu)
****** I'm uploading an pre-undervolted version and a stock volted one. ******
****** New v3.0 stock version up to 2GHZ ******
****** Reference voltages attached ******
If you want to tweak BFS scheduler try setting values (1-300) on /proc/sys/kernel/rr_interval
PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK.
Obs: tell me if bluetooth, gps, fm, wifi and any other component are working fine.
BFS version only this time.
OBS:Im still trying to find a way to make BLN mod work for our phone.
Please give me feedback and suggestions. Thanks
i'm currently use your v1 kernel, can i flash the new one directly?
or i need to do some wipe first?

Yea i'm a bit worried about this as well.
I'm using V1 now and it's so great that I'm afraid to upgrade to V2.
Does it improve battery life? For me is the most important thing about a kernel. =)
....
Ok, I installed V2. I'm using smartass as CPU Governor. On V1, everything was ok.
I realized that boot on V2 takes too much time (stuck on black "Samsung Galaxy W" screen) although it boots.
My phone just did a random reboot. It never happened before. I just opened Phone, Messaging, WhatsApp and it rebooted. =| And now it turns on and reboot itself again without opening a single app.
I'm going back to V1. =)
Great job, by the way!

Brother, give him some time. In fact he just uploaded today and it is normal there are bugs.
Flashing V2, but reverting back to V1. About long time to boot I think it because too many governors, and i/o, you should remove few standard governors like powersave, ondemand, interactive (since there is interactiveX and ondemandX) then smartass, because smartassv2 is included, noop, and other standard i/o. Just my silly thought btw sleep of death occured to me, so strange in v1 this is not occured, I think this is because kernel debugger thing and celancache/frontswap so I flash back to v1

Okay then do I need to wipe cache of something for installing v2? I am from Arco's kernel.

Are you flashing from v1 or from just the arco kernel?
Also might I suggest trying to flash v1 since its been reported to be more stable than v2 is.
kernel v2 isn't stable for now, I suggest you using v1

Brian, just flash the zip file. I suggest to have a back up using CWM prior flash using CWM. Once flashed just reboot.

Hello
Can any one tell me what the option in the Performance means?
1- Governor
2- IO Scheduler
3-Set on Boot
and what effect will be on each drop down menu item on the phone when over clocking or under as in attached immages also
I tried to search but failed or might be not searched too good.
Thanks in advance,

They're pretty simple to understand. The governor tab just sets what CPU governor your device will use. The IO scheduler tab just sets which IO scheduler it will use. And the Set on Boot tab is pretty self explanatory. Do some research as to what each specific governor and IO scheduler does and it will make much more sense.
if you spell kernel right people might take you more seriously, just a thought.

I don't use SetCPU (way over complicated for no good reason) but Kernel Tweaker. With my experience on the F4k kernel:
JB - Interactive
KK - Smartass V2
IO Scheduler: normal phone use ROW. If you have some regular write operation, CFQ. I've tried SIO, ZEN and NOOP, overrated. While NOOP and ZEN feels really responsive (like mininium lag) but it unstable. As for SIO I don't see what people see in it. It not particularly faster, and nor battery friendly. At least that what I saw on my S3 with Pegasus governor. And I don't use benchmark, this is a pure observe from normal day-to-day use on open app, multi-tasking, browsing, etc. I've tried all mention governor for at least a week.
As for UV, I've done -1.5V (yes, not a typo) on my phone. Again, I don't bench or play games, just regular day-to-day email, browsing, photo, etc.
I'm on JB 4.2.2 Stock and using SmartAssV2 + ROW. Max freq. on 2.05Ghz. Working fine so far.
Check out this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2686845 for undervolting results part (I'm guessing it's in your SET CPU too).

I'm using f4ction kernel 1.3.0 with 90hardlimit_2.05Ghz.zip flashed after the kernel with TWRP.
Also, i like CPU Control, which is very easy to use.
I don't need set cpu anymore. I turn on air plane mode at night so battery life can be longer.
And checked on cpu's cores, system automaticly control frequences.
Using SetCPU the Charging with USB takes ages
Do I need to set a profile as I have tried other apps to change stuff but this seems to be the only option for me with a modified Stock Rom
Have used these settings so far with no lags or issues .. can someone pease clarify if this is ok...
SET SCREEN OFF
CPU - 810 - 384 Gov: Interactive / Priority 100
SCREEN ON
CPU - 1566 -384 Gov : OnDemand / Deadline / Priority 52
BATTERY <45
CPU - 1026 - 394 Gov: OnDemand / CFQ / Priority 50
SLEEP 00:45 - 08.25
CPU - 584 - 384 Gov: Powersave / CFQ / Priority 49
What about Battery or CPU Temp?

Powersave governor is a governor that locks on the lowest possible speed provide by the kernel. No point on setting a speed range since it doesn't dynamically switch between them.
Well as I mention above, I don't recommend using schedule beside ROW or CFQ. If anyone still thinks SIO, NOOP, Deadline is significantly faster/better than CFQ this is a very interesting test: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=linux_iosched_2012

Ok, I'll try ASAP
I flashed the beta 1.
Some questions:
1) explanations on darkness, smartmax, pegasusq, intelliactive and intellimand
2) explanations on msm-adreno-tz, simple_ondemand and msm_cpufreq
3) do i have to switch soc temperature ON or i leave it OFF?
4) i leave 2048 on read ahead buffer size?
EDIT
For the first question i found this: http://androidmodguide.blogspot.it/p/blog-page.html
PS: I'm using darkness governor (a nightmare - a kind of pegasusq more stable - simplier but fast).

About miui boot... strange, before release it i've flashed on Ebita rom and no miui boot :|
1 question.. you've posted the link with the answers
2- those are standard gpu govs, from the Kconfig desc:
msm-adreno-tz - Trustzone based governor for the Adreno GPU. Sets the frequency using a "on-demand" algorithm. This governor is unlikely to be useful for other devices.
simple_ondemand - Chooses frequency based on the recent load on the device. Works similar as ONDEMAND governor of CPUFREQ does. A device with Simple-Ondemand should be able to rovide busy/total counter values that imply the usage rate. A device may provide tuned values to the governor with data field at devfreq_add_device().
msm_cpufreq - MSM CPUfreq based governor for CPU bandwidth voting. Sets the CPU to DDR BW vote based on the current CPU frequency. This governor is unlikely to be useful for non-MSM devices.
Basically : msm-adreno-tz good performance but high battery usage, simple_ondemand less performance but less battery usage and msm-cpufreq never tested :|
3) Is disabled as default since stock kernel, leave it
4) I suggest 1024 as default but after a search seems that 2048 is a good value, try and see if you've better performance with your card
