I have a Moto 360 watch and it's driving me crazy that the Note 4 shuts off the bluetooth frequently during the day. I'm not getting the notifications on my watch because the bluetooth is off. Once I turn it on it works fine and I'm getting messages. But after a period of time the bluetooth will shut off.
I guess I could create a Tasker script that periodically turns bluetooth back on but that's just putting a bandaid on it.

I have tried 3 different Nexus 7 cases on my new Nexus 7 and for some reason the magnetic "screen turn on" feature only works when Wifi is on. Otherwise the screen will not turn on at all, and I will need to press the power button to have the screen turn on.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? At first I thought it was the case but no matter what case I try this issue still persists.
Mine does the same thing. I have a suspicion it is by design but who knows. Gonna do some more searching of threads
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Mine works ok with wifi off or on, but if you leave it lose the Access Point after you shut the cover, it won't magnetic wake. Also if you leave it over night, sometimes it won't wake the first thing in the morning. After the first wake it is fine. If I turn on Bluetooth, that behavior goes away.
You might want to try booting into safe mode and see if the same thing happens:

The longer mine sleeps the longer it takes to wake it up. I set to toggle WiFi off when sleep. I will test how it works, when it stays on, though this should be a bug.

don't wake up with magnetic
Same bug. I think
I will try to keep bluetooth on. (To save battery in sleep mode)
mine work on both states
yes, i found this bug from day1 (I bought the LTE just within 1 week and keep finding the scenario)
It didn't has this problem from previous Nexus 7.
If you turn on Wifi or BT, then your smart ON / OFF will work all the time.
I think may be these wireless communication setting causing the awake more sensitive. if all turn off, then N7 will deep sleeping and cannot awake by smart cover.

I only use tasker on my phone to enable BT for 2 minutes every 30 minutes. that saves 1-3% battery per hour.

I'm not worried about battery life on my Zenwatch but more on my Note 4. Because I have bluetooth on by the time i get home battery is about 30% on my phone and my Zenwatch over 60% . The only issue I have with that is I get tons of text messages and I want them coming to my watch.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cuberob.weartasker&hl=en I found this tasker wear
Hey all, so I'm having a very annoying and strange issue: My Moto 360 will wake up (i.e. screen turns on) randomly and without reason, ranging from within seconds of each wake to minutes, but it absolutely kills the battery (I can't make it more than 10-12 hours with absolute minimal usage). This is with tilt to wake off, theater mode on, all possible apps except the Android Wear app uninstalled. and the watch sitting completely still on a table. It was happening with Android 5.1 and 5.1.1 on my Nexus 6, and is still happening with the recent 5.1.1 Android Wear update.
The only way to "fix" the waking up issue is if I turn on airplane mode on my phone, which obviously disconnects the watch. So clearly my Nexus 6 is waking up the watch remotely, be it through the AW app or through the connection itself somehow. One other note: when I reset the watch and pair it with my 2013 Nexus 7, the issue doesn't occur, so clearly it's not a problem with the watch's hardware or software, but with the way the Nexus 6 communicates with the watch.
Really would appreciate any insight or guidance as to what's going on - I'm truly at a loss, and the only explanation I can possibly come up with is an issue with my phone's internal hardware (maybe something bluetooth-related)? I've even reset my phone on multiple occasions and that won't fix it.
The only other reference on the internet I can find to this issue is here, where this guy seems to be having the same problem, albeit with a different Mororola-produced phone: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/android-wear/5vB-dKc5IGI.
Usually I can resolve my own issues, but this time I need some help.
My 360 disconnects from my phone often (about 20 times a day). Sometimes it will reconnect immediately, sometimes I have to toggle bluetooth, sometimes I have to reboot both phone and watch.
On one occasion, my phone forgot the watch all by itself, like it wasn't even there. I had to factory reset the watch in order to reconnect.
I've tested thoroughly and can confirm this is only happening while my phone is connected to my home wifi. While on data or other wifi networks (both 2.4 and 5 ghz bands), the issue is non-existent.
My phone (Moto X 2014) is running 5.1 stock and rooted. I greenify Facebook only. I use Tasker but do not have any wifi-specific profiles set.
The watch is running 5.1.1 and I'm using the latest Android Wear. I tried rolling back a few versions but no change.
My router is running the latest firmware (Verizon router provided with Fios), and I've tried broadcasting in different channels.
Kind of at my wits end, here. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
Well, it happened again last night - out of nowhere I received a pairing request from my watch. The phone had just forgotten it, and I wasn't able to re-pair without performing a reset of the watch.
Steps taken since then:
1. Set wifi to channel 1
2. Set wifi to 802.11/n
3. Uninstalled Wear Mini Launcher (provides notification when phone and watch disconnect... I suspect it might be causing issues)
I've been at work and connected to wifi for 2 hours, no problems. At home, I'd have disconnected twice by now.
Argh!
Hi
Did you sort this issue?
I've noticed it on my Moto 360/ Moto X 2014 as well.
When I connect both wifi and bluetooth and then disable Bluetooth my phone complains that Android Wear has disconnected and to tap the alert to reconnect, which I do but I'm not sure if it does anything.
Then I've noticed my watch will drop wifi connection every now and then but after a bit of messing around in the settings I found an option under Wifi settings/ Advanced called Power Save which I've adjusted to the longest time possible (180 minutes), it was previously set to 30 minutes and I'm guessing the watch was disconnecting from my Wifi network when it hit this.
I've only just done this though so I don't know if it'll solve the frequent disconnect issues, however i'll still have to reconnect the Watch after 180 minutes.
I turned off notifications when I'm not wearing the watch but it still showing incoming phone calls. I remember that was working good few months ago but now it is irritating especially on weekends morning. Is it a bug or what?
Is it possible that no one has similar problems or dont care about it?
It's possible no one has the problem or get many calls, etc...
But, maybe try turning battery saver on or turning bluetooth off when charging...
