[Q] Help! sound/speaker problem!!not working!!! - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys badly need help with my lg g3 d855.
My phone speaker does not work anymore. When i play music with my earphones there is little music but very distant and there are lot hissing sounds and feedbacks. My volume rocker works tho.
I recently hook this phone in a big speaker (no sound problem at that tiem) via 3.5mm jack male to male, but then its not playing and i thought that its the speaker that has the problem. Then i just discovered today that my sounds doesnt work anymore.
Also the headphone logo above of my screen doesnt go away anymore.
Is this a hardware or software issue? How can i fox this?
Please i need every help on this matter. Musis is everything to me. thank you

[Q] Headphones jack problem, help me guys

So, here's the deal, my headphone jack isn't working "properly" anymore.
I unlocked, rooted and installed the Google Play Edition, because, well because I wanted to.
Then I realized that my headphone jack wasn't working properly. Let me explain. While speakers works alright, when I plug headphones (that works on every other device à used them with) my One recognize headphones have been plugged in, but the sound is VERY VERY VERY low. In a completely silent room, I can barely hear it.
I thought it maybe was a software problem, so I restored my stock Sense rom, but the problem persists...
What are your thoughts?
Thanks in advance guys

[Q] Random noise on speakerphone

Hey Folks,
I realized an big issue on my phone today:
When I listen to music over headphones, I can hear the music over the speakerphone (the one used while phoning), too. The sound is quite awful and is just some random noise. The issue appears in every music app, but only with headphones plugged in. When listening to loud music with the phone speaker, everything is quite fine. The issue only appears when the volume is nearly or completly turned up to max.
I have rooted my phone with the guide by Darkimmortal and [NUT].
Has anyone noticed the same issue? Might this be an software or an hardware issue?
Thanks

Solution to headphone/aux audio pausing/skipping

This is a cross post from the thread I found on reddit, I take no credit for this find.
The problem for this person was "I purchased some Beyedynamic DT990 Pros (low impedance ersion; 32ohm) and there is some issue with the jack. It seems to trigger the button of me pressing the microphone button, with minimal movement. It either brings up voice command or just pauses the music, even if I just turn off the screen. If I try to increase the volume it also brings up the voice command sometimes.
Just moving the phone slowly causes the music to stop (if it doesnt already when turning the screen off.
Anyone have any solutions to this? These are good headphones, they work with my pc perfectly. I will test with my ipod aswell.
I was thinking of getting a female to male jack just to see if a different connector works. But these are audiophile headphones so the quality isn't really questionable."
and the solution was
"Download the app SoundAbout. It lets you force your phone to detect the headphones correctly. My G3 was doing the exact same thing and ever since I downloaded SoundAbout around a week or so ago everything has been working fine." "What I do is put the headphones into the jack, but not all the way until it clicks in. Just put it in enough to where the phone senses them. If the phone senses them as a headset, remove the headphones (not necessary to take them completely out, just off of the sensor inside the headphone jack) and try again. Once it detects them as regular headphones you can click them in like normal."
Sorry for the poor formatting, and unable to link the reddit thread because my account lacks posts but I found this extremely helpful and hope everyone with this issue does too.

Thread is LG G3 can't deal with proper headphones-
Another method from goldswimmerbj
"I have seen that many people are having issues with the phone picking up headphones as headsets and pausing music on it's own and also causing LG voice to pop up. This issue is caused by the phone picking up headphones incorrectly.
Put the headphones in slowly until you hear 2 faint beeps. Once you hear those just continue plugging in the headphones."
Hope this solves your problems with the LG G3,
My LG G3 has a different problem I guess
Thanks for the info OP.
Mine has headset issue, but only during phone calls.
When I play music, I have no problem at all, during the phone calls, this is where the issue comes. the sound is bad, just like the phone is in a really bad reception area, however, when I unplug the headset, use the phone itself, there is no problem at all, same for the speaker.
i tried with different headset, all same result. I tried the options in the thread above, same. also, my phone detect the headsets ok, once the headset is plugged, the phone has the headset icon appeared
my phone is LG G3, 32G, Canadian Bell version.
any help would be much appreciated

[Q] Soundabout app issues.

Hello everyone !
My M8 went mad today. It recognizes all headphones/earphones except the stock one that came with the device. The stock one works perfectly fine with all the devices except my M8. That sounds really strange, but it did happen.
I googled some forums and found that soundabout app on the play store could solve this issue by routing the audio to headphone jack. It worked.
I was tinkering with the settings of the app. I routed the audio to the earpiece(top speaker) only.
I'm somewhat skeptical that the top speaker now has less volume compared to the bottom one, when playing music/videos.
Does this mean that I have a partly damaged speaker ?
Also, can tinkering the settings damage the hardware(speakers) in any case ?
Thank you for reading.

I think that the earpiece speaker is actually less powerful than the bottom speaker. I use SoundAbout myself as I have an issue with one of my friends old stereo's. The phone doesn't recognize that I have plugged in the aux cable but it only happens with that stereo. So I have to use the SoundAbout app to change the setting to Wired Headphones.
I'm not sure if tinkering setting can damage the speakers, but I have damaged the bottom speaker myself by flashing one of the first CM12 nightly's that came out. The speaker is quite easy to replace yourself and same goes for the earpiece.
Hello,
I have nexus 5 with stock 5.1.1 not rooted.
I started to use soundabout because my phone didn’t recognize AUX-IN from my car audio.
Everything was ok for long time till yesterday.
Now, after I will use soundabout I can’t hear any call conversation. I need to restart nexus.
I am wonder If someone know some similar program that I can test.
Regards from Poland
