Ported CM13 From Mediapad X2 to Mediapad M2 8.0

WARNING, YOU ARE INSTALLING AN UNOFFICIAL BUILD AT YOUR OWN RISK. MYSELF OR ANY OF THE CONTRIBUTORS ARE NOT HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION YOU CAUSE TO YOUR DEVICE BY INSTALLING THE ROM.
Installation requirements:
1. Your device must have any android 6 rom installed already
2. Twrp recovery must be installed
Installation:
1. Restart device into twrp recovery mode
2. Make a backup of your firmware
3. Do a full wipe! (System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache, (Internal is optional)
4. Install CM13_Port.zip
5. If you need google apps and google services install the desired gapps pack .zip file
6. If you want root access, install SuperSU_v2_71.zip (However it shows under Magisk v12.0 is installed and it says properly rooted)

I want to make this very clear.....I am new on this one. And I need as much help as I can get. I have personally installed this rom on my Mediapad M2 802L to see if this would work. Purpose of doing this, to possibly ignite some devs or part time devs to offer their help instead of allowing this device and thread to die.

Nice work !!! Im glad to see people working on this device i stopped using mine just because of emui i can't wait to test it but how can i unlock my bootloader and flash twrp after 6.0 update there is no oem unlock in dev settings

@Dvalin21 might I ask you to add 8.0 to the OP name, as one might be mistaken and think this ROM has been ported to M2 10.0 A01-L instead of the smaller M2 8.0 variant.

Tried it on my Mediapad M2 801w but it gets stuck on the Huawei boot screen. I left it for about 30 minutes because I know it takes longer on first boot. I might try again without installing gapps.
Thanks for your contribution and hard work to produce a custom rom for this tablet.

Thank you for assisting. I have a feeling this project is really going to be a community effort and not just on my shoulders.
Note: I was suggested to try bring the libril files from the stock rom over to this one. This should make a big difference. Ill try it myself when I get some more time.

After extracting, its telling me that AdbWinApi.dll was not found. Also can I just use this tool to unlock the phone for now but not root it?

It should be rooting, it worked for me, you may have to download adb.

INTRODUCTION
First of all, I love RR rom very much. However, no developer is willing to continue to develop this rom since nougat was out at the early of 2017.
So, i was like "Hey why not build it myself" ...
Then i google myself and yep finally here comes the first rom that I builded successfully!

Quite likely need to run fastboot oem unlock from computer to phone in fastboot mode. Do a quick search for directions on forums.

Here's what I do when i get that encryption unsuccessful.
I do it in a harder way but idk xP
First I flash again to stock recovery and ColorOS 2.1.5i,from the stock recovery I change the storage partition and reflash the custom Rom again and everything seem to work fine.

But you need lvm because you need the space, so install an lvm aware rom like omnirom. Unfortunately lineageos is incompatible with lvm and you get that encryption unsuccessful...

First build for RR Oreo 8.1.0 is officially released for some device.

My find 7 still going strong. At the moment using AOKP OREO. I have unified storage Wuxianlin style, so I'm using modded TWRP.

and after wipe internal and rebooting again, it always decryption itself on boot process
how to fix it?

Try flashing modem using adb and fastboot

Try flash rom Dev and flash twrp and follow steps and u go to twrp

Oreo burns the screen, I recommend DON'T FLASH IT until further notice!

Reporting : Brightness est messed up ! Anything over 10% is in fact full brightness.

ROM boot correct and all working, autobrightness is messed up but other things work done..

do we have face unlock in this beta ?
