I have a Galaxy Tab 3 (8' - WiFi) with Android 4.2.2
Samsung released a new update. And I want to install it, I believe it's KitKat.
But will I be able to play the games that have stored data on the SD card?

There's an app for that....SD Fix...I think. Not long after flashing the stock KK, I moved to CM11 which doesn't need that fix.

I'm using Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 running on latest Official Stock 4.1.2 Firmware.
For the past several weeks I have noticed that the Apps which are being updated through Google Play Store are no longer getting Partially updated, every time an App has to update the whole APK is being downloaded. Didn't Google from last year update the Play Store to partially update the installed Apps? Or is there something wrong with my device? I'm pretty sure few weeks back I used to have this service in my phone and everything was working properly, I mean the Partial updates from Play Store but suddenly this is not happening anymore. Please Help.
P.S I use Titanium Backup to update/restore my Apps, I once restored the Android ID through TB, does this have anything to do with the Apps update?
yes smart update is not working for me too since past 2 weeks or so
I bought my Note 10.1 2014 edition a few days ago and was wondering if there was a way to sneak Office for Android phones on it. It's rooted.

Would it work to take the apk from phone and install on tablet?
I use the APK Downloader extension for Chrome to download apks from the Play Store and install from sdcard. You could probably do what ddavtian suggested and use a backup program to export the apk from your phone too.
Thanks!

My man! I'll try that.
Hi, after upgrading to kitkat, I did a factory reset to test the speed, i found that apps like whatsapp etc are showing as not compatible even though i had installed it in JB 4.2 and it had survived my upgrade to KK 4.4.2.
I am using a stock rom with no changes other than the OTA kitkat upgrade.

Hello, Where can you find kitkat firmware for the T311?? Do all the system apps still work, like the phone?
It was an OTA update for India, yup all the system apps work, its very fast and battery friendly, however some features like dolby surrond sound etc are gone.
Ok, just rooted my Samsung Glaxy Tab 3 SM-T210R android version 4.4.2. Used TWRP and SuperSU. Tablet seems to be running fine, it will connect to my wifi network but then it is super super slow, so slow it is unusable. Not sure what to do now. This is my first attempt at rooting anything.
The reason I rooted my tab was to be able to remove bloatware and move apps to external sd. So any help doing that would be appreciated as well. I can't download any apps to do thatuntil I fix the wifi problem
Please help!

Date and Time were changed after rooting my tab. Tried opening chrome and it gave me an error prompting me to update date and time. After doing this for whatever reason Play store is now working again and was able to download App Manager III (App 2 SD), will try that for moving apps.

same thing here. i am trying to figure out how to get it back to the stock rom unrooted. if you figure it out please post something.
i tried to flash older stock roms that i found but when i do the wifi just stops working. when i go to enable it it immediately turns off. also i will randomly get "process system isn't responding"
stuck with a tablet that i can't use now
so i got mine working again by installing the latest (T217SVPUBNK1) from sammobile http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/40786/T217SVPUBNK1_T217SSPTBNK1_SPR/
via odin. it seems to be working fine once again
I just got a Galaxy Tab S 8.4" AT&T version (SM-T707A) to play Pokemon Go on it. It came with Android version 4.4.2. Pokemon Go does not show in Play store. I tried Calcy and other IV checker apps, and they show as "not compatible". I need to upgrade the device to play.
But I also don't like the stock UI and all the bloated apps starting on their own. If I was to get a new ROM like Lineage on it, do I have to root the device first?
I don't think Pokemon Go likes a rooted device so I can do without the root. But I would like to be able to use a Fake GPS on snow days if possible. Any help would be appreciated.
After searching for a bit more, I was able to find a Marshmallow image (link below) and was able to update using odin in a Windows VM. The tablet runs very well now. I have been able to install the apps that I need including PoGo and Poke Genie.
