[Q] Can I suppress the on screen keyboard USB Keyboard/Mouse Detected? - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently purchased the Smart Dock, in which I had a separate topic on.
My keyboard and mouse are plugged into a USB hub, that's plugged into one of the USB ports of the dock. They work fine, except it's really difficult to manage, because when attempting to type into a box, the screen gets messed up, as the on-screen keyboard appears all the time.
Is there a way to suppress the on-screen keyboard ONLY when my phone is docked and Keyboard/Mouse are detected?

Standard Dock Question

I want to have a dock in my car next to my USB port (as shown) to rest my phone in and connect through USB to play music. The Bluetooth on my car isn't the best, it doesn't let me change songs through the wheel controls but USB mode does, so I need my phone to be in mass storage mode.
My question is, If you put the Atrix on the motorola standard dock and connect the dock to a PC/car does it allow you to enter mass storage mode? I'm on cm9 if it makes a difference.
If so, that would be really handy as I could leave my usb cord connected to the dock all the time and just pop my phone on and I'm good to go rather than having to physically grab the cord and connect it to my phone all the time. It'll look much nicer too.
Thanks guys.
When I plug my standard dock into my pc with a usb cable, the usb mass storage option does not appear. I get webtop, entertainment center, gallery, music, widget clock, dismiss picker, mirror phone on display, and other...and under other I only have Alarm Clock Plus...and app I have added.
Well that's not good. Maybe it'd be different under cm9 because it doesn't run blur. I've bought it anyway, so we'll see. If it doesn't work I'll just use it as a charger.
Got my dock in the mail today and unfortunately it doesn't let me use mass storage mode when connected, even on cm9. Might just pull it apart and feed my own usb cord through it.

[Q] MHL cable, BT mouse & keayboard

Hi guys (and girls),
I have HTC One X with stock ROM on it. I got myself a MHL cable (not original, from dealextreme) and i had an idea to make some kind of notebook from my one X. I already have BT mouse and keyboard (both logitech) and monitor with HDMI input port.
When i pair mouse and keyboard with my phone everything works well, i can write messages, scroll and all other stuff, but problem happens when i connect that MHL cable from my phone to monitor. I get clear and good picture on my monitor and everything is good when controlling phone by touch, but when i try to control it by mouse and keyboard everything really slows down. Mouse cursor has great amount of lag, and typing with keyboard is nearly impossible.
I saw other people using this kind of combination on youtube and other places and as i can see everything goes without problem, did anyone had experience like i have or has a reason why is this happening??
Thanks
wow, that could be normal, 1080p output and 2 bluetooth devices shouldn't be easy to handle together

[Q] Soft keyboard when USB keyboard plugged in

Hello,
I installed my tablet in my car. I am also using the Joycon Exr Steering Wheel interface to tap my steering wheel buttons. The interface then converts the signal to an emulated keyboard, and connects to the tablet using USB.
Questions is, how can I still pull up the softkeyboard even when I have a Keyboard device plugged in? Seems that I can still use the "Voice Keyboard" but sometimes thats annoying.

Mouse Connected using OTG Adapter but not showing pointer

Hi,
I have a OTG/MHL adapter which has 2 USB ports and 1 HDMI port along with other SD/MMC etc. The phone is displaying fine on TV.
However I have a broken screen/digitizer. This is the reason for creating the thread.
When I connect my wired mouse into any of the USB ports, it displays Mouse connected (connected to HDMI through to TV) but there is no pointer and no movement. RED LED is lit under Mouse to show power is drawn.
I have a LG G3 phone but unfortunately trying to connect to it doesn't work however I have another USB OTG Cable but it's only 1 connection. Micro USB to USB. IF I connect that to my LG phone along with my wired mouse then I see the pointer and I can control my phone. No issues.
My Broken phone android version is 4.4.x
The mouse is a new mouse but one of the cheap one from eBay. Bottom of the Mouse the Rating is 5V --- 100Ma
The OTG Adapter is another cheap one but it's always worked for me without any issues. However MAYBE, just maybe the reason it doesn't work is because the power input or DC is also 5V. Does that mean the mouse is taking all the power?
What I'm trying to achieve -
Enable WIFI so then I can remote control the device etc. I use the Broken phone for KODI.
Can I use any ADB commands to make it work? I don't have it rooted I don't think but I can start the phone in Recovery mode.
Any advice will help,
Thanks

External USB Keyboard & Mouse for HTC 10?

Hey guys I'm thinking about getting the HTC 10 but want to ask if it has the ability to plug in a USB keyboard and/or mouse (when you plug in the mouse a cursor shows up on the phone) with it like you can on the S7 edge (it comes with a USB dongle). I use this for a unique situation at work where it comes in handy.
thanks
