first of all try to charge your battery to 100% after that open app battery calibration (http://d-h.st/DR1)
after that hit the calibrate button and power off your phone and take out the battery for 2 - 5 minutes, after that boot up your phone and keep discharge until battery is low, and when battery low recharge your phone untill full and recharge again
install pimp my rom (http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/?id=com.androguide.pimpmyrom)
and open menu kernel, after that go to i/o schedulers
hit enable disable i/o stats to avoid overhead on device
and go down again and search vsync
select re-enable vsync and close that app, after that use your phone normally until battery level is low, and give a full charge untill 100%
and try how your new battery
ok that's all i know, hit thanks button if i help you :good:

lemme try this!

I just use Pimp My Rom, and tick re-enable vsync, then use normalize sleep..
The battery life so good..

Lol placebo is really working xD
Battery calibration is a MYTH. This app will delete batterystats.bin file which really has no any effect on your battery life. Proof: https://plus.google.com/u/0/105051985738280261832/posts/FV3LVtdVxPT

Will this work on earlier versions, say 4.3 or 4.1?

Yap, it will worked on early version, just try ok
Sent from my C1905 using XDA Free mobile app

Ya thanks for your opinion

And after i do this, close the app, shall i uninstall these apps or it will only work if the pimpmyrom is installed?

Ya you can uninstall that app

These such things do not work. At least not for me. With FXP build the battery is far better tho

What ROM are you using though ? I'm paradigm , I'm thinking of trying stock idk yet xD
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Kernel or rogue app.
I have tried so many kernels and roms including cm10, aokp and slimbean but in all of them the same 'media' process is taking 40 to 50% of my battery even in standby. Is it some app that might be responsible for this drain?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Most likely an app.

Can you recommend me the best way to find out which app is it? I have uninstalled 80 apps and still the problem persists. There are only 40 apps on my phone now, mostly trusted ones like viber whatsapp etc so kindly recommend me the best possible way to find out which app is responsible for the drain
thanks

I'm seriously confused now ...i have installed paradigm rom and also slimbean again with stock apps only and still the problem persists ...is it possible that some of the files in my internal storage might be being used up by GAPPS constantly and causing the drain? :S

Use an app called Better Battery Stats - this app will help you determine which app may be keeping the phone awake.
I was having some pretty abysmal battery life with google now enabled, but since I've disabled it I've noticed a upswing in battery life.

Not sure if this is the correct area but I have been having issues with battery drain. I even went as far as to get a new OEM battery from sprint. I tried clearing everything and reflashing CM10 and still horrible battery issues. I even tried the tweaks flash after and it still didnt help. Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Oh and its no the battery. You have an app, or process using CPU. I cannot find the cause of mine but these k workers show up no matter if fresh flash to anything other then rooted stock

I am sorry I do not know what that is.
I'd recommend downloading Better Battery Stats too. You can get the xda edition from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
After you install it, reboot your phone and let it stay idle for about twenty minutes. Then go under "partial wakelocks" in the app and you'll most likely find the culprit.

Decreased performance on 4.2 update

Having updated to the 4.2.2,I felt a little decrease in performance,,boot took 43 seconds from the earlier 34-36 seconds,,also antutu benchmark resulted for a score of 19693 from the earlier 20273 ...I felt a little glitch in the pinch to zoom in album. Is the New fw heavier for this hardware than the previous firmwares?? Does anyone facing the same issue??

IMO, benchmarks doesn't tell anything about overall phone performance I think, 4.2.2. is slight improvement, only "cosmetic" for me ... I am most happy and this is the major plus for me - the battery life is quite longer:good:
doesnt feel decreased perforamnce.. but its does improve for me.. from camera aspect, it's focus well and correct.. UI much smoother.
Can some one tell me is the noise in pics decreased or not?Thank you

Well the camera quality i think decrese.... on 307 it was much much clear not raini, and on this 1 the new 4.2.2 423 the quality goes down..... i think I'll go back to 307.

I didn't notice much different when I first installed it on my C6506, but today I am feeling menus and app switching to be laggy. My battery indicator is also off, yesterday it shut down on me with 15% and today after a reboot it gained 20%.
My upgrade was done through the Mac Sony software and I didn't wipe anything.
First time I installed it (via PCC) I noticed my phone noticeably slower in most aspects. I did a full restore again with PCC (for other reasons) and now it's much smoother, startup and shutdown much much faster than with 4.1.2.

I uninstalled each and every app except whatsapp and power amp but still there is a loss of 30% battery overnight.
Battery stats were something like this.
Everything is same this time except governor is ondemand.
And one more thing. When i woke up today i found that my HOV was pretty warm.
Yesterday morning also the situation was very same.
I've didn't change any performance setting on the rom and I've installed crossbreeder and turboboost mod. I've a lot of app installed. battery stats are like this.
(it says 14 hours 7 minutes 20 seconds on battery)
Just an idea

It works for me, and our ROM, luckily. No hangs seen it.
Okay...here is something i did..
Last nyt i allowed battery to drain down completely....
When it came down to 4% i purposely increased screen brightness to maximum and turned on gps....was quite surprised to see...battery stayed on 4% at least for 45 mins....
And then when it drained out completely i put on charge. ..
Allowed it to charge till morning....
And now m noticing a slight increase in battery life...
With the same amount of use...as i do daily....battery is giving better response....
I think charge is there in battery...but d phone is not reading it properly...i suggest yu guys to drain it completely and charge to 100% in one go....
Hope that helps...

Actually Sense and Aosp both are good at their respective places..
If you need performance customizations and loopy smoothness .. Go for Aosp .. I would say that shpongle is the best over here..
While Sense has quality .. Camera and keyboard are the main attraction for a sense ROM .. But the HTC Sense consumes RAM at a high rate..

Change your kernel. If you use kitkat 4.4.4 use k^kernel. My battery life is awesome ( taking about 46 hrs to drop to 10% from full charge and also i play games on my phone . A LOT ) Man, i love my Wonder

Sounds like my battery is pretty awesome in those situations XD. I don't know, but i only have one issue that doesn't really concern me. I have the Play Services battery drain thingy. But when i play big games, like real racing 3 or whatever big game i have on my phone. My battery gets like -3 percent in 20 minutes. Check your battery, I would say. Try calibrating. If your battery is old. Consider a replacement. I got 2 original batteris in my country for 5 EUR

Well, i got frustrated and switched to CM9 EOL. Now it is SLIGHTLY better, but still drains quick, how do you calibrate batteries anyways? Im using CWM 6.0.4.9 and theres no wipe battery stats option.
