[Q] update to 15.4.A.1.19: wifi, bluetooh and radio not work - Sony Xperia M

Hello, yesterday I update my xperia M C1905 to 4.3 on the PC companion. All work fine less wifi, bluetooh and radio. I tried to install again the firmware 4.1 but without results. Any help to resolve the problem?

Yes, I have tried with flastool and PC companion. I have no idea why don´t work it. Also I have tried the service test in the hidden menu, and nothing.

I think this might be a hardware problem then. All of this things are wireless stuff. (Not a 100% sure on this, wait for a bigger pro than me ). Try is NFC working. Also how doesn't WiFi work? Doesn't turn on or what?

I can´t probe the NFC. The wifi, bluetooh and radio no turn on. only say it "turning on" and then the button come back to turn off.

What version of PC Companion did you have and what version it was updated? I've v2.01.149.
EDIT: As I posted this, my PC Companion got updated to v2.01.173. Not a major change! Bug fixed??

Na, seems fake as no change in the built number or other stuff.
...not fake I'm still not completely sure as to how it was updated to 2.3.3. When i got the phone from rogers it was at 2.3.2 all i remember doing is plugging it into PC companion and then bam update.
Maybe its region specific?

Even though it's region specific, I still feel that there should be change in the built number.

or you've installed the google video chat from MoDaCo? it spoofs the version to 2.3.3 so you can use the app.
Yah i think that was it, was just a coincidence that i had plugged it into PC companion when i installed the new gtalk app

One thing has diffinitly changes it the PC companion desktop shortcut icon from a phone with lots of hardware keys to a full touch screen phone.
I tried to repair and see if a unlocked bootloader is allowed to repair with this version and it still says I have modified software installed.
Just thought I would share.
no update available for rogers users

Just updated PC Companion and plugged my Arc in. I also checked for system updates. Still on Android 2.3.2.
I cant imagine that PC companion will be a sign of a firmware update, its more for connecting your phone and syncing it than anything else. Its SEUS that deals with the updates

[Q]Wifi unable to connect to wifi after root.

So, I just did my first root using youtube.com/ watch?v=UqCk2NiHTTg, and update-cm-7.2.0-RC1-marvel-KANG-signed.zip+ gapps.zip
I now have an unlocked bootloader, CM7.2.0-RC1-marvel-KANG and radio-7.57.39.01M(came with the phone)
How come it's no longer able to obtain an IP?
It doesn't even request one(no mention in router logs)

it does happen ...just restart your router...and make sure you DC your phone when switching to stock rom and same for CM7...and you will need to input your pasw again...anoying i know..but thats how it is..
hope i helped somewhat
Nothing's wrong with my router mate, the phone isn't showing up in the routers log AT ALL. The phone isn't sending DHCPREQUEST properly.
Im not sure are you using static IP method or what...if you do-dont,if u see your router as remembered in your wifi settings on phone then just restart everything...i use to get same problem using conectify as my win7 router for my phone...i see my pc but i cant conect unless i restart...to avoid this in future always disconect your phone before changing rom again...or you'll need to do this everytime...hope i make sense...and hope all is fine with your phone

no mate, dont downgrade it...its not radios fault...just try what i said...what happens is that your rouer see you as conected if you dont turn off your wifi when switching roms...thats why restart is needed so it can recognize you as a new device when you switch back to stock from cm7 for example...
to concludeO NOT DOWNGRADE RADIO....try what i said, experiment with other AP,you willl work it out..no big thing trust me
1. My router does not see the phone AT ALL!
2. Why would I want t flash back to the stock ROM?

Please help! Screwed up my arc s bad!!!

Hello guys.
I was screwing around with system files on my rooted Xperia Arc S.
I used ROM Toolbox to set the LCD density to 340.
It asked me to reboot my device so I did.
When my phone turned back on, everything was zoomed in.
I can't see my slider, I can't pull down notifications, I cant do anything.
PLEASE HELP!!! I'm really desperate.
I tried rebooting phone, turning it off, removing MicroSD...
:crying::crying::crying:
You must flash stock rom via flashtool. Everything is already on xda you have to search

I'm using a Mac and my boot loader is still locked because I couldn't find anything for Mac.
Please help!!!
You should be able to log into your phone by pressing settings on your SystemUI assuming you have no security option set. Try that and see if you can navigate to ROM toolbox to change the LCD density.
The best remedy is to flash a build.prop to fix the LCD density back to 240.
EDIT: Just noticed you cant pull down the notification bar. Flashing a build.prop is the way to go then.

First of all doesnt Sony have software for Mac called bridge or something like that?
Before you read anything below try this to unlock your phone; have someone call you and while the phone is ringing press the home button. Maybe you can then navigate to settings to temporarily disable security and to ROM toolbox to fix your LCD density.
Anyway regardless to get a build.prop you're gonna need to ask someone to extract their build.prop, put it in a flashable zip and send you a link to download so you can flash it via CWM. I'm currently not at a computer and I have an LT15a so idk if you'd like your phone to be recognized as a north American phone. What region are you from btw?

My SIM card has a lock on it so I can't even dial myself. FML.
I'm from Singapore.
Ok.
First try installing this on your mac and see if you can either repair or update your phone with it.

If not we're gonna need to get a build.prop from an lt18i. You have CWM on your phone right?

If u are rooted, use Droid manager. i found it around XDA is a pc program that let you explore your phone so u can go into system, take out the build prop, and edit the LCD density

[Q] How to get rom from other (same) phone

Hello
I bought a Xperia s with ics pre- installed. Then I update it to 6.1.A.2.55
But sister bought same phone in august with GB pre- installed. Now she have 6.1.A.2.45. Her battety doesnt drain as fast as mine and Bravia engine is working. So, I would like to back it up or 'flash it up' ( I dont know how to say xD ) and then flash it to my phone. I hope you understand what I mean.. So can I do this?
If I flash .45 rom, will I need to do something else (change kernel or something?)
I hope you will help me
Greetings, Joej
Know that your fw is stabler and faster than hers. Bravia might not be working on yours because you unlocked the bootloader. if not, in any terms, download the ftf and flash it.

She doesnt have any problems... but battery doesnt drain so fast than mine... facebook app eats 2% even if I dont use it. I dont have unlocked bootloader. Does changing fw unlock bootloader?
What do you mean with 'download'? Download from web or 'from device'? I'd like to have the same fw than she. Or her fw wont work on my device same than on her Xperia?

No. Changing fw doesn't do anything to bootloader. Download from the web. In wither General or Dev section of Xperia S, search for her fw number + ftf. Download and flash with Flashtool.
