Email is not the best method. In mail only see one. In social networks, will see all of people and Xiaomi will get lower reputation

UP!

I also started posting the same thing on different xiaomi groups on social media, and posted on xiaomi pages, forums etc. but no reply. I don't think it will happen before april 2015! we will have to continue to use pre compiled kernel!

Edited first post to reflect the now established IRC channel.
Come on Devs!
This topic deserves sticky
+1 on sticky...
I worry that this will promote people harassing the dev's why they try to brainstorm and work.
I know If I came to the irc channel I would shut up watch and try to learn.
But not everyone has this level of respect.

Nah, Its still up to the Dev to even show up if he/she isn't social then they don't go to IRC. Plus there are plenty of options to ignore PM(s) etc. Lastly there are OPs to keep the peace. If done right it can help greatly.

I agree. It's very easy to mute the idiots, and as someone who wants to learn, it would be really helpful just to watch some experienced devs work. Plus, I feel like a lot of the development talk as been moved away from the dev forum and into PMs and the like because people can't learn to search and/or use the Thanks button.
Plus, I just miss IRC, and this gives me a reason to idle again.
+1
A well run IRC channel isn't about being policed. It's supposed to be fun yet productive (well I don't know about that )
However OPs exist to maintain order. So if an issue does arise, they're there to diffuse it.
also the nice part of being in irc is you can get live help from other users <<< lurker in there lol.

International Whatsapp group for S3 developers & Users

Hi guys, after not getting any response myself here, I made a Whatsapp group of my own.
The OP of the above mentioned Thread (which, Aramantin is closed now) is really inactive (no offence) & I'm the one who dealt with all the requests from XDA members interested in joining the Whatsapp group..
Tired of making up for someone else, I finally decided to go ahead and make a Thread of mine to carry on with the Whatsapp group that I maintain (32 members till 19th of August)
Many people join and leave for their respective reasons which is good in a way because Whatsapp limits a group to 100 members..
Kernel Adiutor
Anyways, share your numbers with me here or in P.M. wherever, you're comfortable..
Thanks :highfive:
Great idea..

it doesn't work just comes up with a popup box and says "Open xdg-open?" "Always open these types of links in the associated app"
Audio Bugg...
Device media audio not working... Please, Fix it ASAP.
@Alek Dev you do know that msm8953 socket has a locked cpu multiplier right? anything above the 2.2ghz qcom has set onto the pll's are totally just numbers without effect, we can only mess with GPU overclocking, and only to a maximum of 800mhz without access to overvolting becouse its locked too (Besides VCO locks making overclocking more difficult).
If you want more info you can contact me on telegram by the same name

The rules are so users aren't siphoned off to some other site. Any discussion can happen here. This is the development forum.
I've seen people promote their Facebook page or YouTube channel, and it's just a ploy to make money.
You can have closed group testing off site, but don't promote those links publicly. Like, "hey, that other place is where the cool stuff if happening."
I really don't trust anything that's not on XDA, related to my phone. If it's real, it's going to be here.

yep, and that's the "classic" opensource , opendevelopment approach - that should also make sure that everyone benefits and before ran-into issues are documented and fixed
thus others don't have to figure fixes out again (re-inventing the wheel) so it can be focused on new/different issues - otherwise we'll end up at grsecurity-type development (behind closed doors).
Nothing against grsecurity - it's great, but I hate it e.g. when folks take your work and release stuff based on it (e.g. kernels) but don't release the changes back so that you can improve upon that,
which in actuality is a requirement by the GPL

Question [CLOSED] Why there aren’t listed all available roms ?

I’ve noticed that on XDA there aren’t roms like CorvusRom, DerpFest, CherishOS,..
Especially CorvusRom, which seems to be really good
take a look on his changelog
The decision is up to the developers.
Check out this Telegram-Group, lots of ROMs and all their updates for munch...

@UniNick I've removed the links to Telegram from your OP.
Regarding social media links please observe that as an exemption from the last bullet of rule no. 5 of the XDA Forum Rules, we grant only developers the privilege to share references to their social media in their own development threads and if thorough support is provided in the thread. These conditions obviously don't apply to your posts, threads or you. Additional information is also available here:
Telegram Chat Channels - Way Forward
WhatsApp/Telegram Groups and Channels - Going Forward Hello XDA family! Just notifying all members that posting certain links to Telegram and other sites like WhatsApp is now allowed on XDA. What does that mean? We will allow links to messages...

Please refrain for sharing of social media references unless within your own development threads!
Thanks for your future cooperation.
