Does anyone know which of the HTC apps that works with the Google Play Edition version? I'm thinking of flashing a gpe rom and wanna know what apps, if any, that'll work with that rom.

Was just wondering if any of our talented HTC ROM developers are able to get HTC's Music Channel working on the Google Play edition ROMs. The Viper One ROM has this working without the need for HTC's music app to be running and it works great with Google Play Music. However, it didn't work on stock 1.57 (Viper One is 1.54).
Since I don't like going backwards, I hesitate to flash a custom ROM for only one feature. I've since decided to switch to the GPe version, which just updated to 4.4.3, with no plans of returning to Sense. So, if anyone knows if it's possible to get Music Channel working on GPe, please reply.

How is Goggle Play Edition firmware different from regular Android??? Can you install GPE on Non GPE phone???
GPE is how google thinks android should look and feel that's why you don't see any GPE nexus devices.......the only difference between a GPE and (let's use the s4) is that Google pushes out the updates to the phone Instead of Samsung or your carrier......GPE also have Vinnila android with googles tweeks...........so basicly its like making a GPE a nexus device

Unfortunate not, there was lots of attempts. Best thing is to install a custom rom based on stock android like cyanogen.
My friend is thinking of getting this, but the GPE model is sold out. Is there a Google Play Edition ROM that can be flashed on the regular one, and if so, where is the thread? I've been searching for it but can't find anything.
No. There is no GPE rom for v500. But there is AOSP Lollipop rom. You wiil get allmost the same experience using it.
I have M8-GPE on Android 5.1.
I want to go back from google play edition to a Sense ROM. I believe this wasnt possible in the past without S-Off.
Is that still the case?
