I recently switched back from Pac to Cyanogen. I use the business calendar app as I like it's settings etc. However, after having switched back from Pac, my calendar notifications are not working. I haven't missed anything yet, but it will probably happen. I am not sure what I might be missing. I have ensured that my timezone is set, gone through various settings menus on the phone and in the app to see what might be going on. I deleted the app and re-installed. Nothing seems to cause them to function. I am not sure what might be the cause of this, and thought I would see if there were any ideas here. For now I have installed the google calendar, but it is a pretty poor substitute (though the notifications are working ) . TIA for any thoughts.

Seems like there should be a simple answer, but I've searched all xda forums to no avail. Is this happening to you? Have you found a way to keep the app syncing? I only get SMS/VM if I manually refresh - not terribly convenient when you're on a project deadline!
(Yes, I have checked all of my settings and have tried rebooting [which works, only temporarily] - not much luck so far.)
This has perpetually been an off and on problem for me, even before on my G1. I just have my account set up to also send notifications by email to make sure I don't miss anything.
Interesting behavior is happening on my phone and I was wondering if anyone has seen this problem.
Rooted my phone. Backed up everything with Titanium Backup (except the People app, didnt think about this time i started investigating this problem). I did back up Accounts & Sync, though. Wiped phone, flashed a new Rom (currently running Evio 1.7). Restored everything via TB. Now, all my text messages resolve to their proper contact. And if I type in a name or number via the dialer, the contacts show up. They even show up if I add the All People folder to my homescreen. But, whenever I open up the People app, it's blank. If I go into Menu -> View, it doesnt list Exchange there as an option.
I would like not to remove and re-add Exchange, only because the re-enables my company's wireless policy that forces me to lock the phone. Which I found can be circumvented by restoring Accounts&Syncing information from Backup after flashing a Rom. :-D
I've done this before and had my contacts show up. Not sure why it's not working now.
Has no one else experienced this issue?
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but in the hopes that they are, I'm posting this. For some reason, I'm not getting any notifications for push apps. Specifically for me, its Gmail, Google Voice, and FB Messenger. The apps aren't even syncing. I have to manually go into each app and tell it to sync.
I've had Gmail and GV sync for a little while after a ROM flash, but it never lasts more than a half hour or so.
Any ideas?
Not sure what rom u are using, or if you are using titanium to restore apps... but try settings>apps>gmail (or other apps) and choose to clear data, NOTE: you will have to re-sync accounts by going to settings>accounts and sync and enter ur info. your contacts will disappear for a short time while it re-syncs. its worked for me on previous devices after flashing a new rom, not sure if it will work here....
Check what kind of Internet connection you have: settings>wireless&networks>more>mobile networks>acces point names. The one working is net.
Any luck with this? I'm having the same issue.
I tried moving the gv app to /system/app but it didn't fix it.
Make sure you aren't disabling sync via the power widget.. it sounds obvious but it happened to someone

Similar problem here as well. Google Talk only seems to give me a notification when I turn the screen on. Just got my gnex last week and running stock jb now (only rooted).
So ive had my S3 since the beginning of November and have had no problems. Around the beginning of December I did an OTA update to Jelly Bean and everything was working great. Christmas morning comes around and i was recieving notifcations through all my apps like normal, but starting in the afternoon notifications stopped from such apps as Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat..etc. I checked setttings and all notifications are turned on for each individual app, i went under accounts and sync is turned on. Went into the individual app and checked settings, logged out and back into them. Went as far as to uninstall everything and reinstall the apps but still no notifications are coming through. Ive turned off and restarted the phone. Its becoming a real pain now having to continiously check all my apps to see if ive recieved anything.
I did a google search and found a site where someone else was having the same problem but there were never any resolutions. Has anyone else here come across this problem and know how to resolve it? am i really going to have to reinstall the OS to fix? it seems odd that my text and kik are the only ones that still recieve push notifications. Please let me know, its driving me crazy!
Twitter has done this for me every upgrade for months. I can correct it by going to settings, click my account then notifications, change something, hit back, wait for the toast to say it was saved then change it back.
Facebook used to be similar, but on the new more native app I have yet to get the notifications to work completely att the time for replies and a few other things.

I have no idea why, but this morning suddenly I lost 2 widgets, one for kayak, and one for mail (stock HTC mail, which I used for work exchange mail).
the apps are still there and working fine. I wiped all data from mail app thinking that this might help, restarted the phone, shut it down, started it up again, re-entered my work email acct info... no dice. app works fine, but no widget.
then I noticed that kayak's widget almost was missing. I don't understand why, no changes (not even recent updates) have been made, neither to the apps nor the phone, and last I recall, both widgets were there last night. I'm baffled at this, never had this happen to me before with any phone or app.
the widget list simply won't show neither of these apps, and perhaps a lot others have gone missing too, I just didn't use them I guess.
No, neither of these apps are on the SD card, and no, besides the phone being a dev edition one, I haven't made any changes to it at all, it can be sconsidered a stock phone for all purposes... any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated!
