[Q]

I am from Dubai. I recently bought an unlocked at&t optimus g pro e980.
When I am trying to update, I am getting the message 'mobile not registered yet'.
I registered the mobile with LG, USA.
The phone has active a SIM card from local carrier. I do not have AT&T Sim card.
The phone is on 10P versoin.
How to register it?
Any problems if I changed to Cyanogenmod?

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to check if there is an update. If there is no update available, then why I got the message that the phone was not registered yet?

You are not the only one. I also have a G Pro but I am on Metro PCS and I get the same message. I think it is because it is not a SIM from AT&T, I may be wrong but I have not found a fix on the AT&T site or the LG site. I HOPE that if/when KitKat come out for G Pro we can install from computer.

I guess you are right, we have to wait for Kit Kat, OR a new option. Thanks.

it happens to me too when i was using Korean f180 with European rom, but on Korean rom i could update just fine.
after searching, i found (only works if you use rom for the phone was made) using the lg rom downloader that uses imei number, you will get registered to LG servers thus you will not get these update errors.
never tried myself, so cant be sure as i always do kdz/tot

When kit Kat comes out I'm sure the tot file will be available in XDA forums. Then you can just flash with lg flash tools.

no 4G/LTE option on G3 with 10E (re-open)

Team,
I am reopening it as it seems different than original thread.
I have an LG G3 running 10C (detailed info below in pictures).
However for some reason whatever i do, the 4G/LTE option never comes up in the network selection menu.
(doing it with the temp hack #*855*# etc works (connecting to LTE) but this is not sustainable and getting lost in restart).
Anyone has an idea what is wrong here? (see below pics)

today i just updated it to v10e from v10a and i still have the LTE option, what about a reflash of the rom? have you tried to reset the phone?

try to do a factory reset, you can find it in settings>general>backup & reset

Kernel Ver 3.4.0

Software Ver - V10e-EUR-XX

I have downloaded and installed "4G Switcher" from Google Play
and activated LTE (preferred network type - LTE/GSM/WCDMA). it solved the 4G issue. its not the straight forward solution but it works

The only solution that worked for me was rooting and renaming the LTE config app in the system. Otherwise you just have to keep switching it.

have u activate your LTE with your carrier?

I had the same phone model which also didn't show LTE option. I solved it by installing KDZ j update. All sweet now. Phone runs great as well.

S-800 (LTE) devices have Qualcomm modems. Exynos devices have Motorola modems. The radio s/w you installed with the LTE ROM isn't compatible with your 3G radio. That's why it's borked.

I have no idea why calling's working. The way to solve the problem is going back to a P-601 ROM. Throughout XDA they are posts from people that have borked their devices using Wi-Fi, 3G, or LTE ROMs interchangeably. They aren't interchangeable.

create a new access point without any proxy and port..
try any type of authentications type..
and in the Bearer you can see these options:
LTE
eHRPD
Unspecified..
this time try eHRPD... it should work

Update Notes 5 AT & T Unlocked , outside the US

Hello everyone. I hope some of you can really help me . I bought this model phone UNLOCKED and it works great with any SIM . The problem is updates. Not being in the US territory do not get it OTA updates via Smart Switch ( really strange thing ) . BUILD are still the old , the first relase . Sorry for the English difficult to understand . I really hope someone can help me . Is there a way to install it manually by Odin ?. Also it can be made ​​available for downlaod the latest update ?. Thank you in advance.

try downloading samsung kies in your computer, i believe you can update there manually even you're outside of the united states, only IF at&t pushes an official update, this device is different from international galaxy note 5 which is always getting the update first before this AT&T version,
but correct me if im wrong. the latest update version of at&t is 5.1.1 Baseband N920AUCU2AOI6

Hello , sorry to say just now . However it is the latest version that you wrote but I'm still the first. Smart Switch does not detect any updates to this day ; I do not know if you can flash via Odin but this relase is not yet available for downlaod .

I got an Note 5 64 gb AT&T, I live in Mexico City and I had the same issue, I solved it activating the SIM included via Internet, I putted into the phone and voila! I was be able to do the update via WiFi. Hope that helped you!

Hello , thanks for the reply . I think you 've succeeded because you're in the US territory ; Europe could never engage the AT & T server .

Have you tried? I was in Mexico when did that, through Telcel roaming, not AT&T I found a tutorial to activate the SIM through AT&T portal, you should try it, maybe it'll work

i tried everything searched on every forum, websites, youtube but nothing..
i found CODE which was causing problem after software update
you need to ROOT phone and Change 2 small code in Build.Prop

every phone manufacture are modifying code and adding few things..
maybe in ICEX rom this code removed..
or coud be different one.
i have not that phone anymore to try ICEX...
my solution is for STOCK rom LG G2 D802
Copy Your Build PROP Code and Post here maybe i can find something without phone.
at least i will try...

build prop is different from yours..
copy your build prop file and upload it here..
or just copy all text from build prop and leave in post to see what code can cause that problem

I downgraded back to kitkat rom and now it works fine. But every time i restart, i have to dial *#*#4636#*#* to get 4G signal
I rooted my mobile and also followed your step, but i just can't edit it with build prop editor

download root checker and test if its really rooted. do you gave root access to Build prop editor? go to superuser app or super su and check if prop editor has root access..
if you rooted with kingo root sometimes it says root done but when you disconnect and reconnect phone it says not rooted and you must try second time to root..

I had to downgrade to kitkat then LTE worked then i upgraded to lollipop by kdz method, rooted with one click root tool. Then downloaded autorec lollipop d802 from playstore and installed twrp. Upgraded twrp to latest version( very important ). Then i installed lineage os with latest gapps and finally LTE working fine Reliance JIO is best in India for 4G data and i had really tough time using it on lg g2 d802[emoji14]
