Hello, guys.
Good evening, guys!
I've installed all of Lollipop versions leaked. So i've found so many bugs that made me return to the Cloudy 1.2 ROM.
So when I flashed the Cloudy G3 1.2, my Carrier signal was dropping every second. After this I flashed the KitKat modem and solved the problem.
Today I tried to flash the Poland Lollipop with a clean flash (CSE Flash). The process was completed without issues, so after the pre configuration screen of Lollipop, I have no Status/Navigation bar and a black background.
The desktop showing the default icons and widgets;
What I've tried:
Flash the 20a KDZ again: w/o success
Flash the older LEAKED KDZ, 19H, 20A lgbbs: w/o success
Flash the 10N kdz: All is working perfectly. But when I tried to flash the Poland 20A KDZ, got stuck in the same black screen w/o bars.
Flash the 10N KDZ and did a Normal Flash on FLASH TOOLS: All the things working perfectly. So when I did a wipe, got stuck in the same black screen w/o bars.
I'm getting crazy, seriously; Can anyone help me with that?
I have just a same problem. But I'm on 10l now...

just one try... do a factory reset with recovery before you flash v20a and if that does not work after you flash v20a.
Turn off your G3.
Now press and hold the Power + Volume down buttons simultaneously.
When the LG Logo appears, release and then immediately re-hold the Power button.
Release the Power key as soon as you see the ‘FACTORY HARD RESET’ screen.
Press the Power key to reset your device.
Press the Power key again to confirm factory data reset.
Wait till reset is done.

So got the gpad and have the urge to flash a custom rom, namely PA rom.
1. Will I be missing any good features from the stock rom? Only thing I can think of now is the remote but no much of a deal breaker.
2. And what is the best way to root?
3. When rooting, does it wipe the device?
Thanks

1 you ll be missing the lg apps, lg launcher and some widgets like accuweather's. There is a custom rom that is lg stock based named malladus but it is not updated often i think. Also there is a thread about the lg apps here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2594416, they re being taken from g2's forums and they say that they can be used in gpad but i havent tried them to see if they re working indeed.
2 there are 2 ways for root, kingo root app and dailingrin's method ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2553192 ), i strongly recommend you to use dailingrin's as kingoroot is suspected for stealing data from your tablet. Dailingrin's method is clean and uses adb commands.
3 no it doesnt wipe your device, neither installing a custom recovery does, unless you perform a factory reset

Thanks for the prompt reply. Are you using a custom rom?
I am, but I am using the LRS G Pad rom that is stock based. If you want to stay like stock then go with that one. If you want a Kit Kat rom there are plenty in the development section that work nicely.

Rooting doesn't wipe the device.
However if you are thinking of going to a non-stock based rom then you are best to full wipe the device.

i have cm 11, dont know if it's the best but it's the most popular rom. Gpad became faster in speed with more free ram available and less battery consumption than in stock. Although it is in nightly release state it is quite stable. Only issue that bothers me is that sometimes when i open my tablet it gets like frozen and i cant unlock it. The only way is to hard reset it by holding the power button down and then it boots normally after the reset.
I've flashed Mahdi, CM11, Paranoid Android, and Carbon so far. Of those only Mahdi and CM11 are what I would call fully functional. PA is just about there but it doesn't see the external SD card. All of them make the G Pad feel much faster and smoother than stock. You give up the LG Weather widget and the QSlide apps among other things, but almost everything you give up you can find replacements for in the app store.
I initially used dailingrin's script to root, and then a little later I installed TWRP according to the guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2551499 . After that I used TWRP to flash PhilZ Touch (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588671) and started messing around with ROMs. As long as you use whichever recovery you install to make a Nandroid backup of the stock ROM before you start flashing new ROMs, you can always go back if you don't like your new ROM.
Its my impression after messing with it for several weeks now that the custom ROMs really unlock the potential of the G Pad's hardware and make using it a much better experience. And since you can always get back to stock with LG's recovery program, you really don't have anything to lose except maybe some time. Its worth the trouble, IMO.

to enter recovery this is the key combo:
- Press and hold Power Button + Volume Down
- When the LG logo shows up, release the power button only
- Now press and hold the Power and Volume Up button while keeping your hold on the Volume Down button
- When the factory reset screen appears, release your hold on all buttons
- And Select Up and Up Again

I've been doing exactly this, when I press up and up again, it still stays on the factory reset screen.
If I choose to do factory reset, will it wipe my nandroid and titanium backup files?

I dont think its working. On the factory reset screen I pressed power btn once then itasked to confirm and I pressed it again but Im still at that screen.
edit: working now with usb unplugged
You probably have tried this but if you do the key combo and you are at the factory reset screen you confirm by pressing the vol up button x 2. If you have the latest twrp it wont perform a factory reset but it will enter the recovery mode. If you cant enter its weird, with version 2.6.3.2 twrp it should had boot into the recovery.
IF everything else fails and you have to use lg's support tool to unbrick it you can enter in download mode and pull your titanium and nandroid backup with adb so that you dont lose them.

oh my bad, i forgot that you had to press the power button and not the vol up, glad you sorted this out. No i dont have the blue line issue but i have the light bleeding issue on certain backgrounds and brightness setting.
I think I will be returning mine because of the blue line problem and order from another retailer.
Whats the best way to go stock?

I have exactly the same question as i m thinking of returning to stock because of a bug in cm11 (everytime i power on the tab it freezes and i have to hard reset it to operate normally again, i ve tried flashing various nighlies and clearing cache and dalvic cache but it keeps doing that). Searchign at forums i found 4 posts of how to return to stock:
1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2622777
2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2543350
3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590185
4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471370
Basically 1 and 2 are similar tutorials like 3 and 4, the originals are for g2 but it looks like the procedure works for gpad as well. In 2 and 3 people have reported that it worked for them.

Hi I use a LG G3 and flashed a zip that was not designed for my phone (Validus-shamu-5.0.1.alpha.1.0-TEST-20141217-2151.zip) by a accident and rebooted, and now my phone has a black screen and the led is flashing red and blue (and said error: boot certification verify prior to that stage). How can I fix it?
Additional info: I was using the latest TWRP recovery, and own a d852 variant.
Any input would be appreciated! This is my only phone and I would like to resolve this as soon as I can.
UPDATE: i tried pressing power + up and now nothing reacts, even when i press other buttons. black screen. no LED.
UPDATE2: I removed the battery and put it back in, and now LED are back.
EDIT: FIXED. CLOSE THREAD PLEASE. got my solution from: "What you have to is power + vol down while off till you see the LG logo, then release then immediately press them again it should bring you to a factory reset screen select yes and you will boot into recovery." if people are interested.
I need help as well

I don't know anything about the V500 although I would think TWRP would still be there somewhere, and have you checked in the Developer Options (tap build # 10 times in a row in Settings / About device / Software) to see if you can enable root there?

READ the OP.... says clearly, after flashing you need to reflash SuperSU to gain root again. To get back into recovery ... hold volume-down AND power, wait for LG logo to appear, release power without releasing volume-down, press volume-up and power without releasing volume-down... hold for a few seconds until screen dimms and release all. Wait for next screen, press power 2x and voila, you're back in business.

Hi, I'm trying to find a way to try to recover an LG D680 smartphone. I have a weird problem with it. It used to get stuck on LG's Logo boot. I used Download Mode and LG Mobile Tool to fix it and update it. Everything was ok but 1 month later this happened again, but this time it cannot get fixed.
I tried to reinstall software through KDZ and flash tools (2014) in Normal and CSE mode. I tried Iusacell (AT&T) images (V10A_, V10B_, V20A_ and V20B_) wich are Jelly and Kitkat versions of images. Last I tried to reinstall with V20A_ Factory Free image and still problem, but now there's another problem. It seem that there are not really hardware issues since device is correctly recognized in Windows System, can enter Download Mode, LG Flash Tool can still manipulate hardware (Install, reboot and finish install). The new problem is that even after reinstalling any of the images it keep looped and stuck at the "Android Hard Reset" icon, the one of the Android with the red triangle.
I tried using fastboot and adb but devide is not recognized by fastboot device even after installing drivers.
Is there another way to completely wipe ROM and install System and Boot clean? I already have system.img and boot.img files, but can't find a way to do this nor what I do works.

If it is looping on LG's boot animation, then you should boot into stock recovery and do a factory reset from there - saved me from sending my E988 to service last time I flashed stock. Try one of these recovery combos: Vol Up + Power, Vol Up + Vol Down + Power, Vol Up + Home + Power, one of those should work. My E988 uses Vol Up+ Power - have to press both while device is powered off, and keep them pressed until capacitive buttons flash twice. Not sure how will that work on D680 though (is that a G Pro Lite?)

Yep! It's an G Pro Lite. I'm still trying some of th combinations. What is stock recovery? Should it show more options than just hard reset?

If it's anypart similar to ones found on E98x, it will have only hard reset, update install and reboot options. I really don't know much about Lite series, probably there is more info about recovery in their subforum here.
Hi fellow G4 users
So I was minding my own business trying to make an S8 theme for my device when the bootloop happened , I've tried rebooting countless times but my g4 still bootloops , ive also tried to boot into recovery via key combo it doesnt work ... lg up doesn't recognize my device , and while trying to restore through lg bridge it tells me that my phone is up to date ...
If it helps I was running the latest AOKP nightly , rooted with the latest magisk beta and no xposed , at this point I believe my G4 just turned into a a paperweight ...
Any suggestions are welcome

try to get to the recovery once again. It is very difficult to get there for me and it is hit or miss.
What I do is hold power down button + power button, when the phone vibrates i just randomly press these two buttons till the recovery screen shows up.
Also you can get to the fastboot by pressing volume down on the latest Nougat bootlader.
