Hey guys I was just wondering with 5.0 out now and all, would it be possible to get the always listening feature ported? According to Googles changelog for 5.0 if the device has digital signal processing, it would be capable. Currently it's only enabled for the nexus 6, 9, and note 4. The m8 does have dsp which makes me think it might be possible. Anyone know anything about this? Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section, let me know, and I'll repost somewhere else. Thanks guys.
can you explain what this is, pls? had never heard about this and don't know what it is.

i have no idea why but it just stopped working one day, does anyone have any idea why, and if not, what do you guys think is the best rom available at the moment regardless of android version?
thanks in advance
This is so not development. And your question is far too generic to give a proper answer either.
Please at least state firmware version, the application(s) you are having problems with accelerometer issues in, and any apps that you think might have possibly caused this.
your right ill delete the thread now
Edit: I Dont Know How To Lol
Sorry again
It wouldn't let me post in the developer thread due to lack of posts from me and told me to post here. I'm wondering if someone can answer my question. I'm running the 2.17 paranoid android rom and I wanted to know if there was a way to toggle 4g on and off like on cm10. I stream radio while I work and I can never connect to 4g in my building so I would like to be able to turn it off to extended my battery life. I saw his same question asked in the developers thread but saw no reply to it. Thank you if you can help
You can use a toggle app.

Hi!
I found this mod when searching for a fix. The mod increases the bluetooth music streaming quality highly. Now the sound is disordered and hissy.. The mod raises the the MAX-bitpool to 64, when default is around 32.
The only thing is the mod is made for the Samsung Captivate Glide. Could somebody make this mod work on our HOX?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880298
Thanks!
Hox has definitely higher bitpool than 32.. I would say it's about 50. You can compare it with desire or any other older model which has 32 and see the difference.
This was also the main reason why I rooted my old desire (cyanogen has first fixed this issue in version 6).
Hox is the first android phone with fixed bitpool on stock rom.
If this mod really increases it to 64, that would be awesome

Anybody? Anywhere? Any chance?
I'm a noob, can't do it..
..would be nice.

I would love to have this. I've gone back to using the 3.5mm jack in my car because the sound just wasn't there.

Yes,
Exactly what I have been forced to do also, go back to the wire..
I don't understand why they can't set the default already at 64, what difference would it make, only make the sound 100% better..
Now there is a way to fix it, i just hope somebody with the right knowledge could help...
fix?

Idk, nobody says anything about what it actually fixes. Does the mod raise the bt bitpool or what? and the mod is for the nexus 4, not sure is it compatible for our HOX.
It looks like we are not gonna get a fix for this on the HOX...
Thanks!
I'm coming from the One X+, it has the same issue then the one x, and i've tried out ad2p streaming over a brandnew htc one: still the same problem!!!
it's a shame that a big manufacturer like htc can't fix a software problem like this, cause if you stream over a new aokp or cm 10.1 rom, the problem is fixed...
does someone have already a solution for sense 4+ roms?
thanks alot.
cheers
Can any one help with this? I'm by no means a noob with rooting and adb and what not but, I somehow managed to get my M8 soft bricked yesterday and the only rom I could manage to sideload was the AOKP rom because it was under 1 gb. I'd like to hang on to this rom but the audio isn't working out of the headphone jack or out of the speakers when listening to music specifically with Google Music. Youtube and everything else seems to work..
Thanks for any help :good:
you'll probably get better answers if you post in the AOKP thread..sounds like a kernal issue though

I sorted it out. It was Google Music maxed out with devices (max is 10) Of course I didn't get a warning or any of that.. I just happened to guess that might be it. Google needs to make that more clear.
I was going to ask the question in the ROM thread but even though I've been a member of XDA for 3+ years I have less than 10 posts and can only use the Q&A section
Sorry for long title, missing question mark (it didn't fit) and my somewhat limited english.
So, for example lenovo stops upgrade, are there anyone tried to make exact copy (what it could be) of oreo? No other "trinkets" added. I mean not any of those suggestions added, what users asks on the thread. Not a single feature added in the phone menu. So, point me one if there is, please.
That would be a hit, I think. At least I would install one to my dad's phone, this time Nexus because he asks for that (and even mom's phone Lenovo P2), but if the menus are different its a big no. It WILL confuse them. A lot. So bad they want to go back even old version had bugs they cursed.
---------unrelated rant------
Oh, I really don't mean actual fixes, if those are even possible to fix, because I think it is in the hardware. Bluetooth sound from headphones is so awful its unuseable. I have two Lenovo P2's, so I know what I'm talking about. One must be deaf if not hear that. Shamefull. In this time and age, when bluetooth headphones are standard. Sound separation is close to mono. Its so bad, I had to buy wired headphones (Marshall has wire+bt 2in1) Uh, actually I use smiley for that. ...let me see if I find one, that fits..... Here! :cyclops:
Hi, I don't know if I'm allowed to answer but I do it anyway.
I totally get your point but don't understand your consequences from it. If they both upgrade from nougat to oreo, there will be a difference in the menu structure anyway. You just have to keep them the same between the nexus and the p2. So why does it have to be a pure stock rom? why don't you just install the same custom rom, like lineage os, to both phones?
Best regards
