The Sprint version will not receive the t mo data bands.
Why would the Verizon work with T-Mobile then?

TMobile (GSM) and Sprint (CDMA) are not even same networks so NO. Most of the phones are locked to one network anyway, but those two have nothing in common

incorrect information my friend. PLease search xda because thier are several phones from sprint that have worked on tmobile and att. The sprint variant has a international lock a nd a domestic lock. Once they are cracked, then yes, you can use your phone on att or tmobile.. Sprint uses cdma mainly for 3g and voice, and use a sim, yes a sim card for lte. You can call sprint and have them unlock the phone for INTERNATIONAL use only within thier guidelines. So far the note 2 note 3 s3 and s4 have been avaible to use with modification to get onto att and tmbolies networks.

Based upon my personal experience, even when the phone is UICC unlocked, it is still locked for domestic use. I unlocked my Note 4 via international at Sprint, but the phone says 'Invalid SIM' when using T-Mobile SIM.
I was able to get an Sprint HTC M7 to work on T-Mobile using just the international unlock method.
Good news though, Sprint will be making most phones unlockable for domestic use by Feb 11th (at least phones made thereafter)... so this means that even if the Note 4 doesn't get some kind of firmware update to allow domestic use, the S6 will and I'm sure somebody will port over the capability.

As specified by Sprint, all phones released before Feb 11th 'will not be DSU(Domestic SIM Unlock) capable'. This means a dev will have to figure out a way to port the S6 modem to the Note 4 and we'll possibly be able to get DSU for the Note 4 that way. (Or at least, that is my understanding of it) Only time will tell at this point.

Until vzw goes to VoIP in the next few years the only thing the sim supports is 4g data. Because lte is a gsm based network, sim cards are needed. Nothing else in a Verizon phone used the sim so no you would not receive full service using a vzw sim. Not sure if you'd receive data or not but I'm betting no
Verizon uses CDMA for voice, and CDMA/LTE for data. Not only are the LTE frequencies incompatible, but CDMA is incompatible as well. So no, the Note 2 will not work AT ALL on Verizon.
Also to note, Verizon will only let you activate VERIZON BRANDED phones on their network. You can't buy unlocked phones and use them like a GSM carrier (AT&T, T-Mobile in the US) would. Sprint is the same way.

This does not exist on ANY Note 2 on earth. Possible with *SOME* other phones, but not any Samsungs, and definitely more trouble than it's worth. NONE will be LTE compatible though. 99% of the GSM compatible phones on Verizon are locked on only work internationally, and will not work AT ALL for the US.

Totally not true. The main issue is the set of frequencies the CDMA carrier uses in his country. If the range is the same as Verizon then all he needs to do is "flash" the phone by uploading a prl file that will reference his carriers towers and changing the phones internal settings to match. This is the same process when moving a Verizon phone to another carrier like cricket or metropcs. If his home carrier uses the same band as sprint he can flash the sprint radio to his Verizon phone and then "flash" it. I've done both procedures before.

You don't need an unlock code. What you will need to do is make sure your CDMA carriers frequency range is the same as your phone. Then you need to make changes to match your network, like uploading a new prl and so on. Almost everything you will need to do is listed in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1696621
It will take some work since you are in another country but it can be done.

Incorrect. They have the same bands for Sprint/Verizon/ATT/TMobile ect.. but IME's have been white listed and/or bands have been locked by the carriers. Global phones typically have all the bands necessary.

I worked at VZW for 3 years in Tech Support. You can not take another phone from any other carrier (except the old Altel phones) and use it in Verizon with the exception of global phones with global sim cards. Verizon uses A-Key authentication which prevents taking a Verizon sim card and putting in a non-Verizon phone and using it. Verizon used CDMA unlike all the other carriers.
That really stinks, anything I can do on the Verizon Note 4?
Can anyone confirm that the N930V has LTE Band 17 and LTE Band 12? Does anyone have an AT&T SIM they can put into their Verizon Note 7?
Frequency Check says it supports the bands:
https://www.frequencycheck.com/models/AQQ7j/samsung-sm-n930v-galaxy-note-7-xlte
This is a deciding factor on how I am going to purchase my Note 7. This is also pretty big news since the Galaxy S series and the Note series has not supported these bands natively in recent years.
SOLVED:::
AT&T N930a PH1 firmware can be flashed onto a stock N930v Verizon Note 7 successfully. This unlocks AT&T LTE bands the same way the S7/S7e does. SUCCESS!
According to Verizon's page, it does not support those bands-
Network
LTE Band 2,4,5,13 LTE Roaming 3,7,8, 18,19,20
GSM/UMTS Quad TD-SCDMA 34, 39 TDD LTE 38, 39, 40, 41

To begin with: I own a Verizon S7 AND a U.S. Unlocked S7. I also own a Verizon Note 7.
While it is true that all Samsung phones are physically the same; it is also true that the different carrier ROMs block certain radio channels/bands. So much for Verizon phones being "Unlocked"
Even with the AT&T APN information entered into a Verizon S7 or Note 7, the Verizon ROM blocks LTE service.
I would never have thought that you could successfully flash the AT&T ROM onto a Verizon Note 7; but I just did it!

The hardware between US carrier-branded Note 7 devices is identical. The ROMs are what determines the network and/or LTE bands the device is allowed to use.

Would some kind soul mind explaining, in laymans terms, how to get the n930a firmware onto an n930v? I dont know if theres another thread explaining it, but I havent the slightest idea how to begin. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just act like you have a N930a and flash the stock at&t firmware using the firmware and instruction in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-note-7/how-to/sm-n930a-stock-odin-firmware-t3444006/page1
Once you have Odin (flashing software) and open the program, you'll see a button for AP, CP, BL, and CSC. The firmware package has a file for each h of these. Click each button and choose the corresponding file for each. Make sure you have Samsung drivers installed first.
1. Plug in phone to computer while on
2. Keep phone plugged in to PC and power it off
3. Put in download mode (volume down, home, power)
4. Open Odin
5. Make sure you see device ready in top left of Odin
6. Click each button and choose each file as explained above
7. Hit start
Unplug when it says success.
Phone will boot with at&t logo and all.

No it's not it should be easy but T-Mobile will make it harder than it has to be
The phone comes with T-Mobile's unlock app. You can choose temporary or permanent.

No it wont right now and probably not ever fully for calls or texts or data
I'm assuming it'll work similar as to how the S7 Edge did where you could ODIN the carrier specific software to the phone in order to get those bands to work. As for CDMA compatibility I have yet to try my Tmobile S7E with the Sprint software and attempt to register it on their network.

Nobody has or can yet Its a huge maybe at this point. Guys get the version you need or wait for the sim unlocked version. To much risk waiting and hoping odin eventually works.

How can I know that t mobile s8 + will work with CDMA network? I called T mobile customer service twice they said they have no idea :silly:
I love tmo, but I don't buy phones from them anymore. Bought an S8+ on Verizon. Then popped my tmo sim in and it's all good to go. Vzw and tmo capable. Data speeds are faster on tmo around my house, but everywhere else the vzw sim outpaced it.
