I haven't seen any threads about this error that I get almost every night around 11:30pm.
I'm thinking that this might be from S Health pedometer. I use S Health pedometer widget on my home screen.
Anyone know what and why I get this?
Thanks.
I think you have s health recording slmething. Check them all and make sure to stop recording. I use peometer also but that's not it.

I get the same error message several times per day. I am also using the s health pedometer.

Anyone using light flow to control the led notifications? I was wondering if there is any alternatives because the market reviews say it kills the battery life?

I've been using it since S3 till Note 2 now that don't feel it drains too much battery. Anyway, the battery life is very good on Note2.
I tried installing it but upon setting it up, it said it can't be activated together with the Air-view function...therefore I have uninstalled it.
Can anyone please confirm whether we can use both Light Flow together with Air-view?
Damn yeah i get the air view and light flow issue too
Maybe someone will make an alternative

Light control works.
I don't know why, but it turns the TalkBack.accessbility option on and off during install,
which forces you to turn air view off.
However, it doesn't actually NEED talkback.
I turned airview on after the install finished, and was able to change my my notification colors (changed missed call from red to purple)
- Frank
I get the spoken "Folder open" or "Folder closed" when using light flow and opening folders. Talkback is disabled and it doesn't do this with any other features.
Only fix was to disable Light flow which eliminated the problem.
Install liteflow then go in to settings & turn Air-view back on...Now both work fine
Perhaps you can try Light Manager which can be downloaded from Google Play.

Not sure if it works on Galaxy Note II.

Yes...I'm using light flow and air view together....just disable air view first when first prompted...and then go into settings again later and you can enable air view again....
Light flow works perfect on my note 2...and battery drain is not that much at all

The battery killing is specific to some versions of the s3 where we work around some really bad bugs in the led driver.
It shouldn't affect the note 2 though.
At the moment the airview suggestion of switching back on is the best I know of (I had that reported from a beta tester with a note 2) - there's a reference to that on our support page - http://www.folioflow.com/ff/page/website/lightflow/pageId/2171
The main issues I'm aware of are the talkback and swype issues. I've offered me help to swype as they are aware it's an issue with their app and have recreated the issue themselves.
I've sent some code to Samsung regarding the talkback "folders open" issue and can recreate it with any app that uses accessibility services.

First of all, you MUST pop up a notification during install that air view can immmediately turned on after install.
I've seen several people post that when they saw the 'turn off air view' box, they immediately aborted the install and get a refund.
You must let them know, before it happens, that this is (for now) normal.
Secondly, the bug implies that the talkback bug is an ICS issue, so I'm not sure why any Note II users are having the problem.
(I don't have this problem, although I'm not exactly sure what folder people are opening to trigger the problem. App folder?)
- Frank
For me, it happens any time I open a folder on a homescreen.
Sent from my GNex using smoke signals.
Also happens if you slide your finger on the homescreen page dots. You get "talked back" the page number.
Swype-alike "Continuous Typing" in Samsung Keyboard also gets disabled if you use any kind of accessibility apps.
I was actually so frustrated with the talk back feature I uninstalled this app. I might install it again.
Dev. you should really consider telling people this, because I'm sure there are others who were like me and said "oh no! Talk back is working even though I turned it off" and just uninstalled it.
It happened to me on my home screen folders.
So does anyone notice a battery drain on their devices while using this app? Of course I'm referring to people who have a Note 2.
EDIT: Nope, I turned Air View back on and I'm still getting that annoying folder open and folder closed voice. I even turned on talk back and turned it back off! haha. I have to uninstall this until this issue gets fixed. On my home screen I use folders all the time, and it's rather annoying to hear.
I've removed talkback and changed airview back on and is now working 100%. Not sure does it drain battery since have used it from start. I get 6-8hrs screen on time. Gotta love Bright Pink and Cyan.

Fix for this is to disable all Samsung TTS, S Voice and Google text-to-speech. I'm not sure does it work with disabling only one or two, haven't tried.

It's still early, and have only had my N3 for 12 hours. I'll get rid of this thread if it's something completely obvious that I'm missing.
Dozens of times today, my screen has just turned on.
This has been, while charging, not charging, headset plugged in, not plugged in, while streaming music, while waze has been running, laying flat, etc.
I've disabled the motion controls, smart stay (thought it was maybe seeing eyes?)
Any ideas, or are you guys/gals experiencing this too?
It just happened to me. Left it charging then out of nowhere it turns on and I'm in the other side of the room.

Had that issue on my Note 2 for a s a year or two. IIRC it was a rogue application. This didn't start right out of the box right?

Probably only had 5 minutes of pure "out of the box" use before rooting, but restored most apps in piece-meal. Noticed it especially while driving and playing music (while charging and bluetooth paired). I know it wasn't due to notifications.
I'll have to keep playing around with it and try to replicate, as it hasn't done it since I disabled most of the motion controls.
Do you know which control causes the phone to vibrate when you pick it up?

I had the same problem with the Note 1.
Last ROM I put on it stopped it.
I just got a new Note 10.1 2014. I haven't yet rooted it though I plan to.
There must be a simple answer to this though I can't find it.* I have three Note 2s, a Note 3, and have been routing phones for many years going back to early HTC Windows phones. But alas I haven't found what must be a self evident to most.
How do I get rid of this persistent constant Samsung advertisement for the Note 10.1 features.* When I go into sleep (by this I mean push the power button briefly -- not power off) or close the lid so the screen goes dark, within a few seconds the screen starts up again with this never ending advertisement that begins with a helicopter flying and then proceeds with video of every feature of the device - at least from Samsung's perspective. So last night I put the device to sleep with a full battery charge and didn't realize the screen was reactivated by this b annoyance and was on all night even though the cover was closed. In the morning the device was off with zero battery.
I don't know if they consider this a screen saver or what but I can't find how to turn it off.
Can someone help?* Thank you very much.

Might be that you have daydream feature and it came with a small demo of the tablet's features. Check under display settings to see if that's the problem.

Thanks, I checked the daydream feature under display setting and it is off. So this is something else. Any other ideas?

It sounds like it's in some type of demo mode. I've never seen what you're describing including the first time I turned it on out-of-the-box. Did you buy it open-box or as a former floor model? You might want to try a hard reset and see if it's still there afterward.
It is using it as a screen saver. Set wallpaper. lock screen - and change/stop it...
Check under device administrators too
I think changing screen saver might have been the way to go and would probably have fixed it (though I don't know). But I did a hard reset and all is now right with the world. Thanks for all of your help guys. I appreciate it

So my Location Service keeps turning off after the phone sits idle for a while. I turned off connection optimizer and I still have this problem. Is there some setting somewhere doing this? Anyone else having this issue. My wife's note 4 doesn't do it.

It should turn off if nothing is needing it. Then turn on when an app request your location. It is now supposed to be an on demand function to save on the battery.
Problem is sometimes it doesn't turn back on and I get an annoying nagging pop-up when accessing something that needs it.

My wife's Note 4 has this issue. I doubt there's anything simple that can fix it since anything that forces the GPS to stay on (against the wishes of the phone) will surely drain the phone to death.
HOWEVER, has anyone noticed if the update to Lollipop helped fix this issue? Did they make the location setting idle and restart properly?
I had this problem (fully stock) post-lollipop as well. I spent a couple of weeks messing with it and never found the root cause or a fix.
A full wipe/factory restore fixed it for me.
Good luck.

I like something to remind me every 20-30 mins to get up. The Samsung app helps with this but it seems to not remind me again if it already alerted me. I want it to happen regardless every 20 minutes. I thought the 360 would have something built in but doesn't look like it

Schedule a repetitive event in calendar :silly:
I don't want my calendar to be filled with that sort of thing.

Hi. Sorry for the delayed response. I've been using Movn. It's not perfect as it doesn't always recognize activity properly but I'm still using it
Maybe try this one?

You need your phone on you though for that to work. It just sends the notifications - no real integration. At least not with the moto 360. I've tried it out after you mentioned it
