3rd Party Silicone Bands - Moto 360

Don't know if this aspect has been challenged before but here is my contribution to the moto 360 accessories thread:
I was looking for a silicone band for the moto to keep it with me during running activities.
I bought this silicone band for 4 box (a lot of colors seems to be available) : http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Bracelet-de-...Bracelets_de_montres&var=&hash=item19f0fad859
I followed the lot of persons who explained how to cut the strap to fit to the moto 360, so thank all of you
I've attached pictures to show the result, but now i can wear my moto during running session without the fear to damage the leather band with a cheap solution.
I hope it will be usefull to many people

why thick? moto 360

thick moto 360 Im waiting moto 360 2
the sughtsgr
I really don't think it's that thick, its about the same as some of the regular watches I've worn to be honest
I want to know why this watch isn't something else other than what it is, I just need to complain so that I can let everyone know that the things I "want" are more awesome that what actually exists, that way I seem smart.
I want my smartwatch to do everything my phone can do. That way, I can leave my phone in my pocket.
Irony. People actually want that. Seriously makes me chuckle every time. Doing so would kinda render that £500+ device in your pocket useless.
If you go to your local department store and look at the many traditional chronograph watches on display, I think you'll discover that the Moto 360 actually isn't that thick.
Guys...please lets not troll this thread....:good:
seems fine to me

Was just gonna say... Pretty sure my 360 is thinner and lighter than my G-Shock MTG920GA was.
Its thinner and more compact than any other watch over ever owned, so, im not complaining
thinner than the Timex Ironman HRM too. probably about the same weight.

I think this will answer all your questions as to "why so thick?"

David
I think it is the right amount of thickness. I wouldn't want it any thinner. If the watch could get thinner, then I say add a larger battery and keep the same size.
anyone know when the 360 2 comes out?

I am wondering about the material, as the original Sony sticks all the possible dust and dirt...

I have the white band and it doesn't collect dust as the black one. Maybe because of the striped texture on the band. I prefer the white!
I bought lime version from ebay...supercool
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Free mobile app
I got mine right when they announced it was in the Google Play Store, around a month and a half ago. Use it all the time when I go out on my runs and then switch to the black one when I am not running. It is the same material (silicone) as the black one, but the texture seems smoother so it does not attract dust/lint or dirt. I sweat a lot and it's held up very well, with no staining or markings. Love the fact that its practically infinitely adjustable as well, and adjusting the size can be done so quickly and easily.
anyone know where I could purchase the metal band? I've searched everywhere and can't find it :\

An anti-static spray will prevent any dust/lint from sticking to your silicone watch band. I use the 303 Aerospace Protectant (available at O'Reilly Autoparts or on the web). Just remove the watch from the band, spray the band thoroughly, and then wipe dry with a towel.

[How-To] Use Magtron adapter with Devilcase

So I bought my red and shiny Devilcase after my screen shattered while using a beloved Rockit flipcase.
This is for anyone that want to use a Magtron adapter with a cover that is not compatible.
Tools needed:
- Sandpaper/Dremel tool (see picture)
- Patience
Optional:
- Fine grain sandpaper
Step one:
- An image is worth a thousand words so follow instructions in the given picture.
Step Two (optional):
- Use fine sandpaper (800 to 1200) to apply desired level of polish.
Result:

As you can see my result is not very polished because I don't really care about the look of the adapter, I need it to work and I don't wanna risk to damage the goddamn flap every time I charge the phone.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not responsible for any damage you may cause to your stuff or yourself.
TESTED IT WITH DEVILCASE AND Z3C.
hey mate, I've got the black devilcase on my Z3C atm and was actually just the other day considering purchasing one of these adapters. So thanks for posting this, looks like a simple mod. (I've already got a dremel).
Do you have a set of verniers handy? It would be cool to know how many millimeters I need to shave off, although in your photos it looks like about 1mm?
Glad it helped! 1mm around the plugs and 0.5mm below the plugs. Make few tries, if you sand too little you can sand a bit more, if you sand too much you may face a problem. It takes 5 minutes with a Dremel.
Nice!
Im now buying the Z3C and havent got the magnetic adapter/cable yet.
Im planning to use DevilCase too..is there any cable or adapters(preferably) that fits well without enhancements?

I am currently using this cable with the devil case. Fits perfect. Only reason I'm looking at the adapter is I'm planning to make a car cradle that charges the phone
Expensive! aren't there adapters maybe?
Sure is, the ones referenced in the first post.

Go for the black marker, brah. It will probably wear off in a day or two, nothing to be afraid of. Apart from that, I think there's not much you can do about it :/

Ok you could pm me with some one's
Just write "anodizing aluminium" in Youtube search engine
Hey!
Anodizing is an electro-chemical process that surely needs special tools and skills...
I shouldn't do nothing, as we don't know how all that can affect the internal stuff. Be sure that the anodizing process in factory is made BEFORE circuitry introduction.
But, wait: anodizing is for aluminum, and Moto 360 is made of STEEL!!
360 is CHROMED!

I thought the silver version was just polished stainless steel?
Remember stainless steel is normal steel with a percentage of chrome added.
Chrome plated is electoplated metal

Stainless steel is often a 18 % chrome 8% nickel combination, yes. But, do you want to elecroplate your nice electronic toy?

quality metal band with fine adjustments?

I don't mind Huaweis metal band, but I'm caught in between because it's a bit too big with a link in but a bit to small if I take it out. I'm looking for a good silver metal band that has a clasp which allows for incremental adjustments, but with the odd 18mm lugs and 22mm band width I haven't found anything. for reference this is what I was using with my zenwatch and I love it http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005X...-12&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=22mm+316l

I got something similar at a local jewelry store. Was only $30.00 (I dont know why so much cheaper than the website) and very similar to what you have... Any 18MM watch band will fit without issues... Will just need to make sure it has the fine adjustments on the clasp. This one does: http://classic.jewelershowcase.com/products/59-0140/?groupId=24256
Edit: Mine might a slightly different model.

thanks, I might have to try some local shops, or even have my existing one modified. that looks like the end is a spring, which in my experience comes with the hollow link bands. my old one was solid 316l with really nice screw link pins, so I'm looking for something comparable.

Yes, you are correct there! I go for the lighter weight band myself. By I would recommend local jeweler so you can see / feel the band. I love mine, dont regret it one bit!
