I was wondering how easy it might be to add a couple of additional buttons alongside the answer & end ones to send messages to the caller? I thought one could be to say "I'm busy at present, I'll call you later" and the other "I'm driving, leave me alone" or words to that effect.
I'm sure we all have occasions when they might be useful?
Before I became a builder I used to develop databases and used VB code etc but I've been out of practice for too long to get too deep into developing the stuff you guys do. I'd be happy to advise you on DIY though
In case it's important I'm using Duttys HD v2.1 Extreme ROM on my HD. Awesome ROM on an awesome phone, (chucked the iPhone in the sock drawer!)
And BTW I really appreciate the work you guys put into these mods.

You have an options in the Phone settings to automatically send a custom sms when rejecting a call.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a, preferably free, call recorder for android, that doesnt beep every * minutes etc, and can store files with call name and date etc, and it records both sides of the conversation. Does anyone know of something like this?
bump still looking for one
Me too
Had onkologs ROM on my Touch HD that had one built in and I miss it.
TL;DR Bump
I try all call recorder but unfortunately it on records what eve i say can't able to record both sides so i like to know is DHD is hardware capable to record both sides or not please any one answer.
Thanks
I'd say any phone is capable of recording both sides if you can install the program.
Just need to find a decent one.
please xda ,its time to develope in call recorder for dhd?
i hope u will try to build a new one for android like hd2.
thanks in advance
Don't waste your time. This won't work. You can only achieve recording from speakerphone.
I have been looking into this since WM6.0 with TyTN and it has always been like that. If it is limited by hardware, whatever you do with software it won't work.
All existing applications declare the same.
Anyway, I would be willing to pay for a software that would do this because it is very important feature for me but haven't found any paid apps either.

Didn't they say same regarding Hero? But hey, it finally worked (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=806451)
That is the only software I miss since moving to DHD few weeks ago.
Hopefully there will be possibility to record calls soon.
hi again im still wait xda to do that please ?

Probably in the wrong forum, should be in the Q&A.
I personally use google voice, and turned on missed call notification. I wish they would update the app, but ya know, it works for sms.

This should be in Q&A
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
but for your specific question, just go buy a i'M Watch it does everything you need like Notification!! Pricy for some of you all!! But very good intuitive device, bought one for my Girlfriend, ever since she never missed 1 sms and phone call ever again!!
HI... sorry if i posted it wrongly..
I am watch is good. but not as what i wanted.
what i wanted is an aaps to pair 2 devices
1- Motorola Xoom ( or any)
2- SE - Mini Pro ( or any )
this aaps will actually notify anything coming from the SE- MINI PRO to the xoom.
the concept as I'm watch / LiveView is good but can it be expended between device such as tablet to phone, phone to tablet or vice versa.
Ive done some market research and i found none of the aaps available meets this requiements and thats why i questioned in the Develoment Section. Because i think most of the Pro Developers in XDA might get an idea of what this aaps can do .
Imagine when you are on your Google TV, and your phone is in silent mode. under the pillow while u are watching your fav show.
or you are playing Online game with your friend on the Samsung Galaxy tab and your mom is trying to reach you several time telling you that your cat is dead?
its open for exploration...
i dont mind paying 1 doller for a brilliant aaps like this.
with over 3.7 mill android activated during Xmass.. i think people has started to have multiple android in their home and this concept is ... brilliant.

Please post in the correct sections, on that note. Thread closed.
Hi everyone!
I recently installed LiquidSmooth on my ROM, and I absolutely love the feature of being able to modify texts directly from notification center (Reply/Mark As Read/etc.). Unfortunately it doesn't support personalized notifications, though, for people [certain text sounds/LED colors for specific contacts], or call blocking.. I was wondering if anyone has discovered an alternative text messaging application which may allow this, or whether it's only available through native .. ): ..
I was also wondering if there is an alternative dialer that supports the Google Voicemail integration.. I've been using ExContacts, but it doesn't seem like they do.. [I like it for its swipe left/right for text/call]. I was going to just use ExContacts as my contacts manager and the native call log, but just wondering if there exists another call log application that supports Google VM?
[For LiquidSmooth Users -->] .. since I'm asking a gazillion questions as is.. wondering if anyone knows how to modify the strength of the vibrate? I see a "Vibrate Multiplier" option, but it doesn't modify all of my notifications [I noticed some apps have the option of modifying the strength, but others do not] .. Also, I know some people have been asking this, but have people discovered a way to lower the LED brightness for notifications?
(And I did do my best to Google/search forums/read threads, but I couldn't find answers to these questions.. ;-; .. I was going to post in the developer thread, but I realized I didn't have enough posts ^^;; .. but I will be trying to be more active so hopefully I can get there too so that I can post in the arguably more suitable sections :3)
Thanks so much for anyone who has thoughts/ideas! ^^ .. This forum has been very helpful and able to answer all my other questions so .. win! ^^
Hello Forum Folks!
I am new here- Hi to everyone!
I have 2 questions concerning the Watch:
1. Can an incomming call be taken by a voice command or by pressing the main button?
2. Can you make the watch answer your question the same way Google Now does on a regularnie phone- not just by displaying an info but answering out loud by the speaker?
I am on a skiing vacation now- operating on the watch with a glove does not work well, so solving the above-mentioned matters would make the watch a very handful tool!
Best Greetings from the Alps ?
Kris
Best way is try it out yourself.

1. No, you have to use the touch screen
2. No, the result is only displayed, no audible feedback, but you can use the wrist gestures in this case, so you should be fine, even with gloves.
Thank you guys!
I think these issues will be considered by the Android programmists in the future.
