Music track change with volume button. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Has anyone found a music app that will let you change the track via the volume button instead of doing it manually through the app. It doesn't work with the Power Amp app on this phone.

if your headphones has a mic button you can use the double/triple clicks.

[REQ] Volume buttons to change tracks

Hi, is there any ways to change the track by holding or tapping the volume buttons(instead of turning on the phone and everything)?
I also use headphones w/ controls but everytime I press the button, it either pauses or plays the music and if I double press, it redials. Is there a way to fix that too?
Thanks in advance.

Click to collapse
This will be implemented in CyanogenMod 6 I believe. With the screen off, you can hold the volume key down and it will skip forward or backward depending on which key you are pressing.
Thanks for the reply!

Bose MIE2 working with S2?

Does anybody here have some experience with the Bose MIE2 (NOT MIE2i!!!!!)? I'd like to know if these Headphones are working together with the SGS2, especially the Headset buttons (pickup call, end call, volume...)
Thanx and Cheers

got these and they sound great.
the volume buttons don't work but the end and start call button does. if you use PowerAMP you can use double and triple click to change track.
Thanks for your reply! Did you already try the "Headset Button Control" app to set up the volume buttons?
Cheers

@Zaphod_b_1 - seems like the volume control does not work on my SGS2 with "headset button control APP", but pause/play button works...

[Q] Disable feature:Holding Volume Up while headphones in launches Music App

Hey everyone,
I wondered if anyone knew how to disable the function to launch the music app and play music, while holding the volume up button with headphones in.
Its odd but its annoying while listening to podcasts and turning the volume up
Thanks

[q] Headphone controls

I prefer my controls on my headphones to skip tracks instead of adjusting the volumes. Is there any way to change that or is the only solution to download an app for it?
I user poweramp and with that you can easily go to the next track by holding the mute button for about a second. There is also an option to change it to a double/triple click combination.
My sgs1 worked this way as well, however I used CM7/9 with it.

Volume hard buttons for anything else than media volume ?

Hi everyone,
Since the Pie update, the volume buttons only affects the media volume (YouTube videos, streaming music,...).
But can we map it to control the general volume or the ringtone volume ?
It's very annoying (for me) to get every time to thé volume settings to configure what I want
Before pie,, I used an app to force buttons to media only. I use a profiles app (audio profiles) for other volumes.
With pie, you need an app to get volume for other levels with the keys. eg. https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...ones-notifications-again-android-pie-0186539/
Or, use the various shortcuts. Like press volume then the settings icon. Or setup a quick tile or widget or something.
Thanks mate ! I'm using Button Mapper Pro right now, really nice app
