Actually it provides quite a bit a protection. I've dropped my phone before and its been fine. Not as much as case protection, but, not as bulky either...

Its very practical. I've had a similar skin on my phone for a few months now and the best part is you can STILL use a case on top of it if you so choose. That way no dirt particles can get into your case and scratch your phone...
I don't know what kind of protection people are looking for?
I have had invisible shield as well as clear coat... and I stuck with clear coat for my Atrix because your finger will slide much more smoothly across the surface of the phone. Pinch to zoom would always be tedious with the invisible shield.
The only protection this offers is scratch protection. If you need something that's shock absorbent, then a case is probably the way to go.
The best way to prevent an accident from happening is to be abstinent in the first place though
Sorry for bumping a dead thread, but i just ordered this skin from Amazon.com and have a question about it, and didn't want to make a new thread about it.
is there anything preventing me from using this screen protector, AND my hard Speck case? i want the most protection possible without making my phone too bulky, and this seemed like a good idea to me. i don't see why i couldn't, but would just like some clarification. i still have time to cancel my order, after all.

There are a couple references to doing that in the posts above yours.
I really like the way the bumper for the Nokia Lumia 900 looks. Protects the sides and corners of the phone and takes up less space than a full-blown silicon case. It's $20 though through AT&T. Would make a great accent to your phone if you but the black or white Lumia.
I put it on my phone to try it out. Didn't like it like it because it didn't raise the phone up the protect the chrome price around the camera. I opt for a full case in which I like

The bumper is cheaply made and covers the hard keys on the side with rubber. I absolutely hate that.

liked mine, it's much better than a case - a case hides too much of the beauty of the phone. I paired my bumper with a full body Zagg protector, so the chrome on the back is fully covered up. The zagg protector also has a nice feel to it.

will probably be doing the same if i get this phone
i originally didn't like that it covered the keys, but i actually find them easier to use with the bumper on, but i do wish it raised the back of the phone up just a little bit to protect the camera strip.

Thanks! Not a problem! Yes, the bumper looks great on the phone, but I probably wont be using it much seeing how it doesnt protect the camera lense in the back... or the entire back for that matter.
+1 on the Gel case. I got one for mine and its easily the best gel skin i've ever place on a phone. Can't even tell its there.

Ditto. Its super thin and feels exactly like the Polly-carbonate that the phone is made of. PLUS it raises the lens off the surface when you have it laying flat.
I'm digging my black gel case. It protects the back of the phone nicely.
Is anyone else having an issue with the top of the gel case not allowing the USB cable to insert fully and make good contact?
Sometimes I have to fiddle with it a bit to make contact and intiate the sync or charge.
i love how you can make the phone stand straight up without it falling since the bottom is flat lol

Interesting the Aluminum case and TPU alike look rather well on the device! BUT I have never used a bumper, only TPU cases; so does anyone know if this would supply sufficient protection from drop damage? I imagine the Aluminum would make the phone more susceptible to cracked screens from a drop but IDK. Thanks and subbed.
Very interesting.. going to purchase a set as well of the TPU ones and see how that is. I'm still loving the Diztronic, but it's starting to lift up my screen protector in two of the corners and it's becoming slightly annoying having to lift up the lip of the case and push the protector back down.

Probably just as well as the TPU ones.. And the TPU ones wont scratch your case up.. that's what I would be worried about with the Aluminum one.

The problem is that I have honestly never used a bumper. I had a TPU case for my
S2 but I never dropped it *knocks on wood* so idk how well bumpers protect from fall damage.

I would think it would provide as must fall protection as a Tpu case of equal thickness and I know for the 3 weeks I had an iPhone the bumper on it seemed to work well

As in the title, i require a case that has a flat back, so that i can use the phone while it's placed on the table. At the moment the phone rocks while i try and type.
I would prefer a cheap TPU case but anything at all will do, so long as it prevents the annoying rocking movement.
Any suggestions?

I'm trying to get a case that won't get yellow. It seems without fail that any of the TPU cases I've gotten in the past always go yellow after a little while. If anyone knows of any of those types of clear cases (preferably NOT TPU, but if that's all there is...) then please post them.

I haven't had any issues with the Ringke Air clear TPU cases. I have been using them on my phones for years and they never went yellow.

Brilliant answer, don't know why I wouldn't have thought of that myself.
I'm surprised that they don't use that kind of logic in brain surgery.
Funny that i never had one yellow, but they have them blacken.
Went from clear to a dark tinted smoke look.
it really sucks because i can never get one thats clear to stay clear.
Always end up replacement it wtih a matte finish colored case.
So cant really help you there. If you truly want a clwar one your probably have to replace it over time or get something thats made of headlight plastic. (Stuff normally doesnt yellow for some years in sunlight)

I have 2 clear cases for my 6p, 1 for work 1 for home. As I work with oil all day my work case goes yellow/gold on the edges but my home case has stayed clear.
Both cases are cheap 6.99 cases from Amazon.

Same here..i have used one transparent aince i bought s7e in july....till date..i m using....still crystall clear...!!
Some dirt may get over it...!
I have washed it twice..just thrown it in washing machine with clothes....!!
