Just seen these on eBay thought I'd share since I haven't seen them posted anywhere else

Interesting the Aluminum case and TPU alike look rather well on the device! BUT I have never used a bumper, only TPU cases; so does anyone know if this would supply sufficient protection from drop damage? I imagine the Aluminum would make the phone more susceptible to cracked screens from a drop but IDK. Thanks and subbed.

Very interesting.. going to purchase a set as well of the TPU ones and see how that is. I'm still loving the Diztronic, but it's starting to lift up my screen protector in two of the corners and it's becoming slightly annoying having to lift up the lip of the case and push the protector back down.

A set of the aluminum ones? It only comes as a single... but keep us updated!

Probably just as well as the TPU ones.. And the TPU ones wont scratch your case up.. that's what I would be worried about with the Aluminum one.

The problem is that I have honestly never used a bumper. I had a TPU case for my
S2 but I never dropped it *knocks on wood* so idk how well bumpers protect from fall damage.

I would think it would provide as must fall protection as a Tpu case of equal thickness and I know for the 3 weeks I had an iPhone the bumper on it seemed to work well

i-Blason Candygel Hybrid TPU [Mini-Review]

I got the i-Blason over the weekend and when I came into the office, I had a package waiting for me. It was the case that is kinda confusing to clarify because it's mixed in with other cases on Amazon. To clarify what I wanted, I went straight to the horses mouth and ordered it directly from i-Blason for $7.99USD+shipping.

The case, which is tpu is much more malleable/softer than the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. Also the i-Blason is very tpu-ish on it's lip unlike the Spigen UH, where the Spigen is ultra stiff.
When unpackaging the Candygel tpu, I also noticed that the case "looked" smaller than the Spigen UH. And when I was about to put it on, I said to myself, this doesn't look like it's going to fit! LOL. Glad I was wrong.
The case fit like a bodyglove. LOL I mean the case lip is very flexible and forgiving. And keep in mind I have a Spigen screen protector as well so I had to make sure that didn't come up. And thankfully, it did not. :good:
I have been using it and playing with it for a while and I have to say it's a pretty good case! The buttons are there, allbeit, covered, but the buttons now have feedback, compared to the Spigen UH. The volume buttons are also fine as well.
The ONLY fault I can find thus far is that on the bottom of the case has a scuff mark that was most likely done from the molding process, which I can forgive. It doesn't hinder the use of the case, it isn't sharp or uncomfortable because of it. I can even see it, but I know it's there. And I know I'll forget about it on day to day usage. The cut outs on the speaker aren't the best, but it's tpu and again, it isn't horrible, but I can notice it lol. The mic holes are perfectly exposed and just to note, the micro sim tray are covered. The clear back is why I got it. I can sport my dbrand white CF as well, where the other options before were the Spigen UH and Ringke fusion.
For the price, I can recommend this. and plays well with the Spigen screen protector thus far. The TPU makes the phone more form fitting and seems a tad smaller in holding it in my hands.

How much bulk does this case add, in terms of height and width and also the thickness of the phone? I've been looking for a slim case to use with my dbrand skin as well, and I've been eyeing this one up.

It's thinner compared to the spigen ultra hybrid if that helps. It's like a tpu case thickness. Meaning not very thick.

its really looking much better than the spigen ultra hybrid....quite impressive one with the look wise....I would say that would be going to be a nice choice to go for.....

Does the clear back attracts fingers smudges and oil? I have a crystal Spigen ultra fit and I hate that about it.

I want to say it's actually a bit better than the Spigen UH when it comes to the fingerprint magnet. But saying that, you have to take into account that I have a WHITE cf. That makes the fingerprints invisible and barely visible. But if you hold it at an angle, I can see some, but not as bad as the Spigen UH.

I just ordered a clone on ebay that looks to be exactly the same for $6 shipped from china. I went with ebay one cause there's no branding on it!!

LOL I don't mind the branding. If it bugged me, I can use goo gone or fingernail polish remover to remove it. But please let us know how that one fares. It should be similar, they all are lol.

What about scratches ? I just got a Tech21 case for my Nexus 5 and only had a few days and I can already see scratches building up. I am going to return it tomorrow. It does have a clear back which is what I was looking for. Thanks

Well you will eventually get scrathes. I have a white backing on my phone so you cannot see them at all. But looking at it without the phone in it, yes you can see scratches.

Thinnest clear case?

Looking for the best case to show off the Moto X, so I'm trying to find the thinnest clear (not frost!) case out there. Not worried about drops, just want basic scratch and scuff protection.
For reference, I have the Diztronic TPU clear case and the Minisuit clear case, but am looking for something more minimalist that will LEAST change the look of a naked X. Has anyone seen such a case?

I have the clear power support air jacket case. It's kinda expensive but it's thin & it has some sort of self healing coating that heals scratches. The only downside is that it makes your phone slippery.

I bought the Griffin Reveal Case. It has the clear back and is pretty thin. It's hard plastic with a softer rubber around the edge. The back scratches fairly easy, but I do not see them unless I take the case off and look for them. I had read this in reviews, but I'll live with it for the $12.50 I paid from their ebay store (price is higher now on ebay, though cheaper than amazon with shipping).

I originally had a clear diztronic tpu case, which added a lot of bulk IMO. The Reveal case keeps more of the original feel of the phone.

do the scratches actually "heal"? I'm getting this case tomorrow, I'm undecided if I want to keep it or get another one...

I haven't scratched it on purpose to see but I've used it for a couple of weeks now and there are no visible scratches.

Same here. Been using it 2-3 weeks and there are zero scratches.
I have found, like others have said, that it is very hard to get off. It's a breeze to get on though.

What you need is the Rocketfish TPU case from BestBuy. It's what I've been using from day 1 of owning my Moto X, and it's pretty fantastic. 100% clear all round, and great to the touch. Covers the buttons as well, and has a good lip around the edges so you can put it face down. Go for it, you won't be disappointed. I'm surprised this case doesn't get as much publicity around here as it should.

I've been using the AirJacket for a while and really like it. As others have said, no visible scratches, good protection, and it doesn't feel particularly slippery to me. Also doesn't add much bulk. I don't like what it does to the feel of the buttons. Where before they were good and "clicky", now it's mushy, hard to press, and doesn't always respond. I've taken to pressing on them horizontally with my thumbnail instead. Could be I've had bad luck with mine, but I have been tempted to try modifying the buttons (scraping away some rubber to thin them out).

Now I'm waiting for my walnut Moto X and trying to choose between Rocketfish TPU case and Air Jacket by Powersupport. Price doesn't matter on me. Understood from forums that air jacket has some self-healing coatin and dunno abt same issue in Rocketfish case.
What you guys think about it? What case might be your choise?

I think the two tone air jacket is not very appealing but it's all personal taste. If the rocket fish is like the diztronic but clear I'd go with that

I got a LUVVITT from amazon. TPU sides and Polycarbonite clear back.
I like it so far. It does seem to show minor scuff and scratches on the back though.

thats the case i have but after using for a while its now discolored with a yellow hue and some blue from being in my jeans pocket.

You know I thought it was my eyes--mine seems to be looking a bit yellow too! Nice to see someone else has the problem and I am not seeing things. Dang it, I like this case too... Maybe I will try to soak it in something...like oxyclean or I don't know... something! If I am able to remove my yellowness I'll report back!

The rocket fish case looks great, the buttons are a bit stiff and it is relatively expensive from best buy. Still, it's the best truly clear case I've found.

Good luck, but don't be hopeful. I've had clear TPU yellow before. I think it's a chemical reaction from either light exposure or skin oils. I tried everything and it doesn't 'clean' up at all.

The cheapest and best looking case I've gotten so far for my U11+

I ordered 2 of these cases via Amazon a few weeks back, they have finally arrived.
Fit seems great, buttons are tactile enough, and it looks like that full coverage screen protectors will be fine too. happy with how this looks and fits so far, especially for the $!

I don't like the yellowing on TPU clear cases but agree that the device color is too nice to hide.
I would love to find a matte frosted case not on eBay or that doesn't take a month to ship.

Yeah it does.
TBH i've yet to come across a case (on the 11 or the 11+) that edge sense DIDNT work with.
They would have to be [pretty ill fitting or have an uncommon design for it not to work.

Got my XLevel transparent tpu cover today and I really liked it, quality is top notch, the back is transparent enough to see the translucent u11+ back, the sides are opaque but very grippy, the cover protects about 1.5mm above the screen too which is good enough and better than cheap tpu covers I had on u11

Durable clear case that doesn't stain or yellow?

I am looking to find a nice, durable clear case for the XL. I've had a couple cheaper TPU cases in the past, but they were not very durable and after a while would get kind of gross and even begin to discolor. I am leaning towards picking up the Lifeproof Next and am wondering if anyone has it and like it or if there might be some other good options out there?

I prefer the ones with the PC back instead of tpu since they don't yellow. I've got the ringke and caseology ones which are both good. there are a ton of options on Amazon/eBay/AliExpress, a lot of times they'll come up under a search for bumper

Ringke Fusion but get the smoke black instead of the clear. It's still clear but with darkened edges so it hides any discoloration much better.

I've been using this one for a couple weeks and so far/so good...$10 on Amazon...

That looks just like my Caseology Waterfall Series case and one that I saw on AliExpress. I've been happy with mine so far and wireless charging is fine. We'll see how well it ages and resists yellowing or hardening.

The hard back on it is a total fingerprint magnet, like it gets downright greasy sometimes, which is actually pretty gross ?
But, I tend to just wipe the back across my jeans if it gets gross and it doesn't show a single scratch yet, and not a bit of discoloration that I can see, like 3 weeks in now. For $10 I'm very happy with it.

Don't know if you picked anthing up yet but I have had great success with the RINGKE CLear Fushion on every phone I have owned inlcuding the Pixel 3XL - excellent case. Good Luck
