Note 2 benchmarks for DN4 ROM - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HEY FRIENDS
first i will like to say thank you to the developers of DN4.
They have created the best rom available for Note 2 today.
So I have started this simple thread to know the performance of Note 2 on DN$ rom.
Every friend using DN4 rom on note 2 please sumbit your benchmarks here:
you can also post your problems with DN4 rom. i will try to help you
Thank you

It is simply ridiculous to compare benchmarks which only can be achieved by overclocking a custom kernel, nothing to do with used rom, moreover based on ported firmware. Normal result is 24-25.000 points.
All (eg. NI4) based roms will have up to 10% better results.
So, what's the purpose

ROM recommendations

Hi all,
I just bought a galaxy note 8 and rooted it. I installed the Cyanogenmod rom but dont really like it.
I do like that it is a lot faster than the stock software.
Can anyone recommend a ROM on here to try. I see there are lots available but dont know which one to go for. If anyone has one of the roms from here and loves it, please let me know so i can try it.
Also, now the device is rooted, i can just wipe and install ROMs using the clockwork recovery program right?
I've installed the CivZ-FLEX-BEAM-REV3.1 ROM now. Much smoother and looks more like the stock rom

Cosign. It's in my opinion the best performing ROM for my needs.
the number of ROMs is not that big, go and check for yourself - generally the "best ROM" threads are usually closed by the mods, rather sooner than later

Although the options are not in abundance I also would recommend CivZ-FLEX-BEAM-REV3.1 ROM I think it's the best for the note 8 & IMO one of my fav jellybean ROMs overall.

Since you're new let me tell you most forums detest "favorite ROM" and/or "favorite kernel" questions. If you don't get outright flamed, a polite response will be: Question cannot be answered due subjectivity; you need to try as many combos as possible & decide for yourself.
Good luck.

hi,perhaps here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2707431
What @dabenaute @Amit77 suggested you is the latest 4.4.2 Touchwiz leak for our note 2, i've been using that as well and apart from few bugs that is noticed the ROM is great. To answer your long battery life question, that is only possible when using custom kernels like devil or agni where you can undervolt your phone and other fancy stuff.Since 4.4.2 is a leak there is no kernel source code so there are no custom kernels available yet for the developers of custom kernel to make it compatible with 4.4.2 TW. So what you can do is try a 4.3 TW ROM and get a custom kernel and do the tweaks which will be enable longer battery life. It's hard to tell you which 4.3 TW rom would offer you best battery life cause everyone's usage is different so you got to test 2-3 ROM's on xda and see which suits your need.Initially after flashing a ROM try it for 1-2 days to test battery life and then try a custom kernel test that for 1-2 days and then move to another ROM and repeat the same steps that way you know which ROM and which custom kernel works best on Note 2.
Mod Edit
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.

Could you leave a link?
These threads asking about which rom is best are not helpful and are completely subjective, thus it ends up being users dogging on this rom versus that. The correct course of action for someone with your question is to read & test for yourself - no one can tell you which rom will be best for you but you. Closed.

Finding a ROM

Hi guys, it's my first post here, so sorry if I will wrong the section.
So, I have a lot of problems with my Note II: slowdowns, "the process has been stopped", etc.. :crying:
I would like a rom stable!! The most important thing is stability, fewer bugs possible, and with the Note features...

Do you wish a stock rom , A custom rom ?? .
If you took the first option then i'd recommend KitKat with Nadia custom kernel , i've used it , it's good .
If the second choice is your preference then first i'd suggest you read about how these things work and how they are installed , the custom recovery . etcetera ,before taking any step through the process
Then and this is an important approach : Focus on the model of your phone and be careful , flashing the wrong ROM might mess with the soft of your device , and you won't like it trust me .
and good luck
Any cyanogenmod ROM should be fine.

...he wants the Note features, including spen! No way to have this features in an acceptable way on any kind of rom except those one TW based. So he can decide to stay on pure stock, maybe rooted, debloated and xposed or on some Note 3, 4 etc port - or simple reinstall his updated stock rom if he doesn't want to mess around.
If you bought a Note I suppose it is for the S Pen (on my N3 I coutend 3000 charging and 2600 spen in/out), otherwise any S series would be fine, and speed and rock solid CM would be a good choice - obviously if you don't use the pen a Note is a S...
