Whenever I flip the phone to landscape to watch a video on youtube or play a game my HTC Desire 816 running CM11 goes full screen bright green, locks up and then reboots in most cases. Anyway else having this issue? or know of a way to fix this? it isn't only on video's. games that flip the image to horizontal seem to do it as well.

Hi guys
has anyone else experianced a flickering every now and then when using the media link accessory. It occurs every few seconds and caused the picture to bounce, with a usually green band on the bottom part of the screen. Ive started to use zoom to get rid of the banding on my tv - not ideal and the boucing is still there.
this is occuring on all my videos, using both mobo and gallery.
Ive got samsung plasma 50 inch tv, it also occurs on my 23inch led sammy and my 40inch sammy lcd (older tv). ive fiddled with my networks and cannot get rid of the problem, i think there maybe an issue with the firmware on the device but need other people to say they are also having this issue before i go to htc.
thanks guys
I've experienced this issue before, but I've LGNPST'd a few times since for various reasons, not because of this, and it seems to clear it up each time. Youtube is fine, I have yet to have an issue with that, but when I'm running an internet browser and choose to play a video where it does not request me to pick a player, the clip will play for a few seconds, then the screen goes black but is backlit. Now if I touch the screen, the clip is view-able again for a few seconds and then will go back to the black backlit screen. Clip isn't pausing, just the image is cutting.
Currently I'm running stock JB (not a ROM), rooted and unlocked running TWRP 2.4.4 with CM 10.1 on my storage. It seems that I notice this only after rooting\unlocking or after a ROM gets installed even if I flash back to stock.
Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone offer suggestions? If I can provide more info, let me know.

I experienced this too.
I just decided not to use chrome and use the default browser, it work's perfectly fine there.
I'll give that a shot. Hadn't really considered it might just be a chrome issue...

I had the same problem until I read some where here to check disable hw overlays under developer options. It works just doesn't stick after reboot.

So, I recently installed cm11 on m HTC One X and everything is great, accept for one thing. Sometimes (especially after 15mins or so of active use) the phone gets pretty laggy and games and such don't work properly. I've seen other people solve this issue by turning on monochrome mode when battery is low or playing video games, using heavy apps etc. and it works, but I can't seem to find a way how to do this on the internet. I found some black and white themes, but I want the whole system to be monochrome. Any ideas on how to do this?
My Kodi has been acting weird lately. I have been getting a black screen randomly when I try to go back to my video files. Also sometimes playing a video will go to a black screen. Pressing the center button doesn't show the onscreen controls anymore. The only way I can get the controls to show up is to press back button. Then the Menu selections show up but I have a black screen in the background. It's almost as if the default blue bubble background screen has been erased.
I have tried to delete kodi and reinstall and gets the same problem. I have tried SPMC and it seems to get the same problem after a few days.
Anyone knows what might be causing this?
Same issue here. Are you using the Krypton Nightlies?

No, I'm not. I have been using 16.1 that is the stable release.
What is weird is that I have tried SPMC and I get that black screen also sometimes. I also noticed that my Nexus Player seems to get this to happen lately also. I think the Nexus Player uses a different KODI since it's Intel based but I still get the same problems.
Do you think there is a problem with Kodi in general?
I'm having the same problem! It sucks. And I'm not very tech savvy lol if anyone figures it out please relay the info ?
Hi All,
1st time on here. Puzzled to this problem, struggling for a solution.
When recording video under water (under 1m) and its great, however when the phone exits the water, the video automatically stops recording.
Is there a way round this? I'm stumped on this.
Any help would be great, thank you
The phone doesn't have this functionality built in, it shouldn't happen.
Have you tried rebooting it?

Hi. Its a common problem when your using a phone in water. The touchscreen goes crazy due to the water. There are a few solutions to this.
1. The method i use. I have turned on volume buttons for clicking pics or video recording in camera settings. after doing that i installed touch lock. it basically locks your touch screen so that the water does not make certain parts of your screen get pressed and stop the recording. so start recording using volume buttons and then lock the touchscreen. ur recording wont stop.
2. download a spycam software like scos that can record videos when screen is off or make it take pics in interval. turn it oon and turn of screen.
3. Thr are apps made for underwater recording. but the good ones have only picture taking ability. some of the others arent that great while taking pics.
i had this issue with my a7. it would be fine for first 10 mins. but after that when i start recording n go underwater it would stop. i tried all 3 and im most comfortable with 1st one as i prefer using the stock camera app.
