GreeneComputing the developers of linpack has announced that while checking users benchmark results last week that 17% of phones using the software were using somthing other than android 2.1 or 2.2 that accounts for arround 158 roms the most unique version numbers being android 3.0, 3.0.1 and 3.2, so who has these android roms you think? google beta testers maybe? ive also seen a picture of a nexus one allegedly running gingerbread http://bit.ly/aLE3HU so maybe a leaked build isnt far away
wish i had one :O
hope it wont be long before a leaked rom comes out
Cool and orange htc hero seems too have android 2.1 update

err, it could also be 1.5 or 1.6 ?
assuming it is A3, wouldnt we have radio problems? i mean (afaik at least), the dell streak is on 1.6 and can't be upgraded to 2.1 (even via the modders) without an official radio from dell.
i'd love to try out A3 in a month or 2, but it surely wouldn't work - unless it's out for the N1, and that radio could be ported over to the desire?
so alot of us have heard about the rumoured HTC One X + coming out its meant to be coming early september and its meant to have jelly bean out of the box
so why haven't we got jelly bean yet since september is only 4 weeks away and the should have the 4.1 ready if these phones are hitting the market in just a few weeks
There are already threads on same topic.

i put one x + and nothing came up
my bad i should be hung drawn and quartered
that's because it should be One X+ - no gap
The OneX+ is carrier connected. Our Tegra3 OneX or the international OneX is global and therefore many more people will own it across a lot of countries. So priorities wise, OneX > OneX+
As of OneX+ being released early September, there could be delays. Almost always such things get delayed.
If you think HTC is just canning jellybean for OneX you're wrong. Jellybean will come definitely, its just taking longer for them because of Sense.
You're right about us having Jellybean before the OneX+ comes out, but there hasn't been any major update besides the 2.05 & 2.15 leaks recently which seem to do more with giving a more polished experience.
And there is a rumor that we'll get updates around August 18th or so so we'll have to wait and watch.
Both HTC and Samsung have announced working on JB for their top phones. There's pressure on HTC to get it out faster as the OneX got a pretty good head-start on the S3. If samsung does come out with their JB first, its a shame imo. But like I said, we gotta wait.
I just switched from a JB rom to the new 2.15 base rom. And I can live with it till theres a stable JB. I'm not against the JB devs. tgascogine, tbalden, mdeejay, trip, etc. are doing really really good work. Kudos to them. If you really wanna peek at jellybean goodness try one of the cm10 JB roms.
i read an article that LG is gonna come out with a new device called LG - Gx wich has the exact same specs as the LG g pro with a little less PPI (401ppi) but with the new jelly bean OS ,
this is more than enough for anyone who has respect for his money to say no in the future to any LG cellular device,
money hungry company who gives a crap and puts even more crap on their costumers over time.

Too early to opine, personaly i take it with a grain of salt......would be surprised that they made a device with the same spec then 2013.....

I'm just hoping it has dev support and we can somehow rip the ROM and run it on the G Pro seeing that most of the hardware is the same.
well it look like I was not right......it seem that lg have made the same phone then the g pro....
http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_gx_goes_official_in_korea_with_55_screen_and_snapdragon_600-news-7375.php
to be honest I don't understand much why the lg x have the same spec then the g pro?? the positive point is that we gonna problably be able to port his newest rom in our g pro.. otherwise it not gonna be in the category of "flagship" especialy in 2014...
Hopefully LG will update the G Pro alongside it when it releases, although it is weird that lg is releasing the same phone with just newer software...

They're saving a fortune on software updates since they never update anything. Probably cheaper to just release another device and hope the public buys it. After all, we bought the OG Pro, didn't we and knew full well that no updates would be released.
We can only hope to port its stock rom onto our phone.
Just read that moto G is already receiving the 4.4 update. And v r still on 4.1.2 :banghead:

I just want my G Pro to have the same vanilla stock kit Kat nexus rom like my n7 and n4 have. This stock LG rom sucks up too much memory.

The LGOGP has 2GB RAM, it's more than enough for running it lag free (mine running very smooth). With Android 4.3< things will be even better thanks to the new Trim function. From my experience 98% of the time the best rom for any device is based on its official release.
LG making a mistake in the long run not updating their devices.
out of curiosity,
is there no ported android 5 (L) coming or is available for the m8?
Not yet. I wouldn't get you hopes up too high for it coming any time soon, it might be a while. Once full source is released we might see partially functioning aosp based versions pour in. Other than that, I'd say cm and other aosp roms have got a long way to go. Same story with sense. But no one knows for sure what google and HTCs plans are so I'm just speaking based off of speculation and past experiences. Expect many "L" themes though

just give HTC about 90 days from source release and we will get official Android L :victory:
assuming L comes in November with the new Nexus, then given the 90 day guarantee from HTC, expect an official OTA by February. they lived up to their promise for the M7 owners this year for 4.4 kitkat.
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2014/10/android-be-together-not-same.html - i hope magicans from XDA are going to port it or smth - its almost same device as Nexus 4 IMO.
It means we should have better port's for our G.
Don't expect an update from LG because that isn't happening.

I'm not expecting update from LG - did i say so?
You didn't but I also wasn't being rude writing that.
Writing can't express many things.
Sorry if i sounded rude by saying that ?
Easy man
From now on, our beloved optimus g, has died with android KitKat, now the life of this device depends on the developers, I have a feeling that the community optimus g will be more active from android lollipop output, this device will still is much war, as their specifications in my opinion are excellent even for these dates.
Long live optimus G
Sorry my bad english.
I mean, if someone does multi device rom port for Nexus 4, it shouldn't be hard to port it to Optimus G as it is almost same device. I even saw tutorial that changed your Optimus to Nexus, but idk if it is still working, maybe i'm wrong
I'm almost sure that all Optimus G variants will get working Lollipop ROMs all within due time.
From what I'd seen I actually don't doubt of it getting an official update around next year. Tho i bet that if it happens, it'll have less features of LG software than a g2 mini.
LG would show how different they are if they St least help officially with a aosp project as Sony does often.
I can dream, right? Lmao
Heeeeeeeeey, We don't need to port anything. Devs can build it from source. Kernel wise good efforts by devs are in action now. Don't worry. We've always been a step forward and we will be. N4 sucks
I am not expecting any official update coming for e975 from lg for Android L. However relying on xda developers to port nexus 4 build for gee like they did for preview release.
Thanks
If Nexus 4 are getting it.
There must be a way to port it Optimus G.

Release 14.4 mobile data doesnt work? Using E975 here
seems no one is excited by the output of Android Lollipop like me, usually in the release of a new version of android, all developers are put to work to carry the latest version of android, I know that developers are human, and have their own life, but it seems that the community of this device is dying, yes, we have many roms and very good developers, but as there is no such feeling of excitement for having "the most updated".
I do not know about android development at all, that is the reason of why I have not done my own port of Android Lollipop.
Sorry if I sound angry, but it's not lol, it's just my opinion.
And I apologize for my English, my knowledge is very basic

Heeey, devs are working on it. Don't worry. The great Dirty Unicorns team is one of them. And maybe having a ported preview build ceased our excitement. If you see other communities are too excited that's because they've never had the luck to try lollipop.

Rom's just don't feel stable tho, official kernel source released and no one bats an eye, maybe two debs working with it, and it just doesn't feel like I could tweak some roms without everything getting screwed up.
