hey people post your battery life ? also rate it out of 10 !
Thanx alot people...
Depends on ROM, Kernel, CPU Governor, Settings (i.e. data on, network) Usage etc.. so you won't really get any decent results.
But if you insist - battery life on MIUI-XJ is quite good. unplugged at 9am today, had medium usage and still have 76%
Now that i have rooted and installed a custom rom i can get 2 days of normal usage out of my phone,i will give 7/10 because although it is good enough i feel the battery life should be better on these phones.
I can get 2 days on medium usage - With such large touchscreen and powerhouse - i think it is very good 9/10 - Custom ROM, SetCPU, other battery savers
Stock ROM - 5/10.
Hello,
i hope you can help me.
I'm using MildWild 4.3 based on Oxygen 2.3.2 with Thalamus kernel.
When my desire is on stand-by modus, it consumes 1 % per 45-55 minutes. Because of that i'm very glad.
But when i use my desire, p.e when iuse play store without anything downloading it consumes 1 % per 2-4 minutes.
My question is: is that normal? Or must i change any settings or an another kernel etc???
Can nobody help me?
I don't know why you don't reply? This is my second thread, and the first thread I've not recieved any answers either.
Well, it is 18 hours past after unplugging my phone and I have 71 %. But I'm used my phone 15 minutes after unplugging.
Is there all right?
it seems maybe a little high. screen should be the biggest consumer of battery once you start using your phone.
however i don't know your screen brightness and age of battery.
in standby seems ok, you can use something like 'betterbatterystats' to double check no app is keeping it in partial wakelock.
inbuilt kernel, or stock thalamus kernel (in my sig) should be fine. personally i use inbuilt cpu settings ondemand 245 - 998MHz, no other apps needed, and i think battery use is fine.
for what it's worth, here's another response to another battery use query...
Yes ,Its normal

hi
in the android phone its normal battery usage , but for better test u can change CPU governor to smartassv2.
don't forget battery Consumption mostly depend on kind of Battery and thats Amper
thanks for the answers,
I'm using thalamus kernel, 2.6.35.14_r-stable.
Screen brightness is automatic and i've bought my battery 1-1,5 years ago, original desire battery.
I also have Better Bacttery Stats, by partial wakelocks i have since unplugged:
Activity Manager-Launch with 2m 6s and 318 counts.
Alarm Manager with 1m 7s and 1244 counts.
wifi with 10s and 501 counts
sleep broadcoast with 8s and 460 counts
and other programs.
Since unplugged: 10 h
deep spleep: 8h 7m
Awake: 1h 54m
Screen on: 1h 43m
KWL: 8m 20s
PWL: 6m 9s
İs there all right, and I don't know which programs are these.
and under cpu governor I don't have smartassv2, i have powersave, ondemand, performance. Min CPU frequency 245 MHz, max CPU frequency 998 MHz, and what is smartassv2?
And can you please explain in a bit simple English?
My English isn't good.
Can you post a screenshot of your battery usage graph?
I'm my case, almost all the power consuption comes from the screen (Never under 50%).. I have to use very low brightness if I want the battery life to last.
Best regards.

How i said, it drains by using my desire. On standby, its all right.

looks fine, you can see that there is no app keeping the phone awake for very long...max 2m 6s.
smartassV2 is another CPU governor. whether it is better than ondemand will require you to measure the drain for similar activities, though personally i don't think it's worth it.
screen is still meant to consume the most battery as long as you are using the phone, regardless of govenor. no change of rom/kernel/touch screen phone will change this fact.
i can suggest turning off auto brightness and using a lower manual one. have a widget to toggle between low and high when you need to (many in google play).
Thanks for the answer. It is possible, the Battery is defect or it doesn't function well because of his age? Is there an app which measure the battery if it is all right with the battery?

theres lots of battery apps in the market but they only really tell ya basic things, health, voltage, battery percent etc.

Well... I've seen things with the same rom, same kernel and different results... mainly due apps keeping the phone awake, but in your scenario is not that bad. I loose 3% overnight with CM 5 MW's version which is awesome, but once i start using my phone.. let me see. I've lost 10% with about 20 minutes of browsing and 20 minutes of gaming... I'm using ManU kernel which is pretty good with battery life, but not compatible with oxygen version of MildWild.
Do a Nandroid backup and try CM version, just to check the differences if you're up to it.
Also, flash ManU kernel afterwards
Let us know if you need help, you have a drain but not awfully bad. However 1% every couple of minutes seems a bit too much .
Well, i don't think that there is a ROM problem. Many people using this ROM have good results than me.
Nevertheless, i will try MW CM 5. After testing i will write here.
I think, there is a battery problem .
Even if it is, you're not spending money without ruling out software issues right?

I'm sorry, but unfortunately i didn' understand you what you mean
Well, i tested a lot of ROM's (MW, ICS Nikez Sandvold Oxy) and i've notice that there isn't a kernel or ROM problem, it's just battery problem.
My battery is still working, but it doesn't work well. I've bought the battery 1,5 years ago, and this is my second battery (genuine HTC battery).
I've also problems with my first battery.
I don't know, should i buy a new battery? If yes, which battery do yu suggest, genuine or another?
And i don't have any good experiences with HTC batteries. Perhaps i didn't use the batteries well.
Yeah so i just flashed cm10 aka fxp147 on my xperia s the other day and it was working well but i noticed a few issues with it. One major issue is that the battery drains very quickly, i had charged my phone is the morning upto 100%(8 am in morining) and by the evening that is 7:30m the battery drained down to 38% even though i didnt do anything much with my phone, the screen brightness was minimum and the performance profile was set to powersave but still the battery drained soo quickly, on the normal stock rom the battery used to last 2 days on minimum usage and as a matter of fact JB should improve the battery life but insted reduced the battery life, thats very sad. Yeah and as i am a new user, i am not allowed on the other forumns so i have posted here.

No its not true , my phone ran for about 24 hrs and still 21% was left . In that period , i listened to songs for about 2hrs , wifi -2 hrs and call 1hr ..you must have done something wrong during the installation because fxp 147 has really made the battery life much much better than previous versions .For proof you can check cm 10's thread in development section where people have posted telling how good is their battery after installing fxp 147 .

Hey guys ,
I am not getting that good battery as everyone. I am only getting about 4-5h on screen time not like the others 7-10 hours.
What can I do to get this awesome battery life ?
Are there any tweaks, mods that I have to apply ? Is there a custom kernel that is preferable ?

Are you using a custom rom? If yes, which is it?
Have you tried disabling location settings in settings?
Have you untick location settings and remote wipe device in google play services?
Doi you have a high wakelock that's cauing the issue?

I usually get 7-10+ hours, but I also keep mine on a wireless charger if I'm sitting at my desk or if I'm away and don't need it. Here's my setup that may help your battery life:
Location Settings: Battery Saving, this especially helps on stock ROM
Kernel: ElementalX 2.6: Overclocked to 1.8 GHz and undervolted on lower frequencies with elementalx governor. Cool thermal throttling, max screen off frequency is 1.026 GHz. GPU overclock to 450 MHz, ondemand.
If your screen brightness is up over 50% it's wasting a lot of power. I keep mine around 20-25% or on Auto.
When the screen is turned off it doesn't drain too much either. Overnight, 6-7 hrs, drains maybe only 5%. I'm going on 14 hrs battery with only a little bit of charging from the wireless qi charger.
Attatched is a screenshot of battery stats.

I am on the stock rom ,
for the location services it's set to battery mode.
I don't have that high lock but after a 18-24 hour I got one or two hour of CPU total at Android System - Android OS

Thank you.
I have already put the Location Settings on Battery saving mode & I have changed the kernel as you mentioned but without overclocking the CPU the screen is always on Auto.
I have a rooted, TWRP flashed, ATT D850 LG G3. My battery life has been really awful lately as seen and has a steep downhill pattern. Cant provide screenshot due to being a new user but it goes down at about a rate of 25% an hour. Not really sure how I can fix this . I have wifi on, brightness at 50% and location/sync off. GSAM also says Kernel OS is using over 50% of my battery. I have previously flashed tweaks such as Sharpening Mod, Thermal Mod, Spiderio Interactive Battery (cant remove), and G3 Speed but almost positive I have fully removed them. Im not sure if there is a way to check if I did (tell me if there is).
