hey people post your battery life ? also rate it out of 10 !
Thanx alot people...
Depends on ROM, Kernel, CPU Governor, Settings (i.e. data on, network) Usage etc.. so you won't really get any decent results.
But if you insist - battery life on MIUI-XJ is quite good. unplugged at 9am today, had medium usage and still have 76%
Now that i have rooted and installed a custom rom i can get 2 days of normal usage out of my phone,i will give 7/10 because although it is good enough i feel the battery life should be better on these phones.
I can get 2 days on medium usage - With such large touchscreen and powerhouse - i think it is very good 9/10 - Custom ROM, SetCPU, other battery savers
Stock ROM - 5/10.

I'd like to hear some experiences that everyone is having on how the battery life is on the stock ROM (POST OTA, NOT OVERCLOCKED) vs custom ROMs (Again, NOT overclocked).
I've tried the Virtuous ROM, and as expected the battery life got slurped down like coca-cola! CM6.1 isn't as bad, but still seems to suck the life out of the battery quite a bit faster than stock.
Is everyone seeing similar? What makes the stock ROM so much better on the battery?
My experience was actually quite the opposite. When I switched to CM, my battery life improved by about 20-25%. I have a NAM Desire Z so it was running HTC Sense over Froyo.
Remember that it takes a few days of usage for your battery to 'calibrate' itself to the new ROM. My first two days on CM were really bad, but since then, battery life has improved greatly. Yesterday, after moderate use and 15 hours, I still had 45% of my battery left. With my stock ROM, I would be lucky to get 15 hours of use out of the phone period.
As far as overclocking goes, I haven't seen much of a difference in battery life. Reason is, even though you are overclocked when the screen is on, you can adjust settings to under-clock at other times, saving battery power.
I would recommend trying a Custom ROM for 4-5 days, that will give you a better idea about its battery life. Also, there are lots of settings you can tweak that affect battery life greatly. Widgets, background data, signal strength... SOO many variables in personal usage that battery life is going to fluctuate user to user regardless.
Hey there,
I want to know what is the BEST setup to maximize battery life. What ROM? What Kernel? What UnderVolt ( if any )? What Radio?
My room mate has an iPhone that he modded and it now lasts two days without being charged and that's with moderate usage. I'd like to out do him with my Android. Any help?

So far personally I've had the best experience with the following :
ROM : CM7 ( 7.0.0 )
Kernel : Tiamat 2.6.32.27
Radio : 11.19
I can't seem to get undervolting to work since I don't have the folder that Viper describes even though I am using an AOSP rom ( as far as I know ) . o.o It's odd really... Anyways, that usually gets me about 20 hours of usage or so .
Twenty hours isn't bad, as the Incredible isn't known for it's battery life. You won't get what your roommate's getting with his phone, maybe get a bigger battery...? I don't think you're going to really out do yourself with the experience you've posted, I'd be happy with that.
I am running SkyRaider 4.0, Chad's 12232010 kernel, OC'd to 1.0368 (small OC, I know) with the leaked 04.08 radio, and I can get about 20 - 24 hours before charging, low to moderate usage (no games, emails for work/personal, maybe 1 call of 5 minutes, lots of web browsing).
Cm7 stock kernal. On metro pcs with a seidio 3500 mah extended battery. Unplug at 7am 12 hours later only sitting on 74% lmao. And in that time bout 100 text. And 200 work emails.. and 30 mins of surfing on lunch. This setup has been the best for me on bat life.. used to run sense and my bat life would just suck..

Two things that will kill your battery faster than anything:
-Anything that syncs
-your screen
So, turn your brightness and screen timeout down and turn off anything you don't need syncing all the time, or at least turn the sync frequency down.
Also, keep your wifi, vibration, tactile feedback, and gps off unless you really need it.
Kernels, roms, undervolting...no where near as effective.
Think about your phone as a smaller version of a laptop (which it pretty much is), what's going to save you the most energy: throttling your cpu speed, or turning the screen brightness down?
Much love brother
Hello guys
i upgrade htc rom to cynaogenMod 10 and changed my kernel to 3.1.10 tripNDriod 009A+. I am happy with the speed and interface. it is super fast but there is battery issue. although i changed cpu clock from 1500GHZ to 1100GHz, in comparison with stock ROM the battery dies very fast merely 7 hours of normal usage .
anybody know what should i do?
help me please
Stock kernels are best other than that. I have no idea...

Usually it takes a couple of charge cycles for the battery to settle down, if you just flashed it then wait couple of days. However your battery life will never be as good as with sense ROMs, unless you are willing to spend hours and hours for reading and trying out various different kernels, CPU scheduling settings and battery tweaks.
I was on CM10 for a while, but for me the battery life, and camera quality issues were not worth the marginal performance increase. Now I'm back on Viper X Sense ROM, really like it. Amazing standby times and performance is good enough. I value battery life, stability and functionality more than a lag of few milliseconds of lag.
ROM: Stock F240 + latest Gomdolight Wave.
Mine on stock Turkish E986 KitKat rom (dutch)
E980 on VUPMP Stable

Not sure if I have a not-so-good battery or what, I've had it since July or so, always had about the same battery life. Had one for my S4, too, got better battery life.
Battery stats posted with the CPU @ 702MHz on 2-cores only, GPU @ 200MHz. Screen was set between minimum brightness - 20%. Running Vanir 4.4.4 with Snepst kernel.

i saw in reviews that the zero lemon battery gives arnd 9-10 hrs of screen time & with the heavy underclocking u have done it should exceed 12-14 hrs screentime.
im guessing ur phone is not going into deep sleep, a lotta ppl have this issue in cm which is caused by dirty flashing, try goin back to stock to see if battery life improves or follow the guide below if u absolutely must stay on cm & also want deep sleep

WiFi, mostly web & XDA, <50% brightness, slightly lower OST than my normal — usually get 8hr OST when <40% brightness with my "normal" usage.
I freeze a lot of junk, including Google play services and the like. . .
Hello everyone!
Proud owner of 5T for about 2 months now, switched from OPX and the performance, the screen, the everything was such a big improvement!
However, I've started noticing that my battery life is sub par... And I frequently read on forums and reddit that people achieve 5-6 hours SOT. I think I average about 4h SOT.. The reason I can't say for sure is because I've probably never charged my phone up to 100% (all hail dash charging when you can just plug it in for 20mins and get an extra hour lol).
Right now I'm testing this out, so I've charged my phone to 100% and I'll see how it goes.. Right now I'm on 36% with 2h 24min SOT and 14h 20mins since last full charge...
Here are some things I've tried:
- I frequently delete cache
- I've set animation scales and some other things to lower in developer options
- I use greenify automatic hibernation
- I don't have auto updates in Play store
- I have most of the notifications turned off
... There are probably more things that I can't remember right now, but I think I've probably tried most of the frequent fixes.
Right now I'm thinking of switching to a custom ROM (I loved Lineage and SultanRom on my OPX), because right now I'm running 8.0.0 (I've never upgraded because some people were saying it slowed their phones and/or worsened their battery life).
Please XDA, help me. I really want that 6hrs SOT and not having to bring charger with me around lol
Your battery life can depends on what apps you use, what you have on (wifi, bluetooth, data and stuff), you could check if something if heavily using up your battery in the corresponding section of your settings.
What kind of ROM you use doesn't noticeably affect your battery life as much. Instead however, people achieve a higher battery life by installing a custom kernel - they really do help, both in smoothness and SOT, give it a go mate
starting walking with several power banks ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Don't clear your cache very frequent.
Uninstall app you don't use.
Disable vibrations.
Use dark, black wallpaper. Bright colors consume more baterry. Blue is bad for our eyes.
Use black menu, interface, where is possible.
Disable Location if you don't need it.
Close the phone when you don't use it.
Finally, get a job.
Download better battery stats.
Then unistall greenery and use oreos background restrictor in battery settings
