Check this vid guide out.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-tv/general/complete-video-tutorial-box-to-root-t2921306 It's very good but I prefer to make things easier by using the AFV Utility app to get things done... There should be a series of guides using the app in a few days...
Also look for AFTV Utility v29 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2736774 ... And read the guides here: http://www.aftvnews.com/tag/guide/
Start with http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-setup-a-new-fire-tv-without-blocking-root/ Then http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-root-the-amazon-fire-tv/ etc...
Thanks, its possible can you help me about how i can add XBMC to APP Amazon Fire TV Section please???

I think you are asking about adding a link to he front UI thru LLama... If you are not rooted then LLama is your only bet. But if you are rooted there is a launcher & other options...
Checkout section 4 & 5 here: http://kodi.wiki/view/Amazon_Fire_TV#Launching_Android_Apps_within_XBMC You can use the AFTV Utility to get LLama install regardless if rooted or not..

Ahh.. Right.. Let me find you the thread where they show how to do that.. You have to install/sideload a specific Amazon App store app that converts it to that...
Here you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-tv/general/easy-to-access-apps-t2921479
Instructions & where to get the correct Amazon app are in post #9. You should be able to replicate this whether rooted or not....

Is anyone using an anime app that is compatible with the fire tv? If so which one(s)? I tried side loading the Animefreak app from their website, however the fire TV remote doesn't allow me to select any videos.
Thanks!

There's an anime app on the Fire TV app store called Manga that's pretty good. You can also try Crunchyroll that can either downloaded directly from the Google Play Store, if you have it installed. Or you can download the apk from somewhere and sideload it. Netflix also has some good animes on it like Naruto Shippuden, a Bleach movie, and some other stuff.
In some of the anime app cost to watch the anime series is much more but 9anime is much better with free one to watch.
I made an account just to tell this since I think you'd be very happy with this.
Just sideload this app: https://github.com/XenTeckzX/FireAnime
Sorry if this has been asked before (I did look but couldn't find anything) but at the moment I have an Fire TV and a trial Prime subscription which I am thinking of cancelling.
If I do cancel, how does the Fire TV behave and would it still be useable ?
Can apps still be downloaded and run OK ?
Thanks
Stu

Yes. I have never had a prime account or bought anything from the Fire TV launcher. No problems with not having a prime account.

Yes. Prime has nothing to do with your firetv. You will loose the ability to watch free prime movies and shows. thats it. you can still rent. Install kodi and go along your way.
Im wondering if anyone knows of a way to sideload kodi into fire tv plus addons and a homescreen icon? into a fire tv?

Thinking you mean get a kodi icon to launch from...look into adbfire llama options.
As for something that's ready to go...look into tvmc.

Thanks for the info, but I needed to sideload Kodi AND a selection of add on with it. I can't seem to find .apk files for Kodi addons to do this.
Kodi addons are not apps like Kodi, so the installation is different. Sounds like you don't have much background with Kodi/XBMC, in that case the easiest way to install addons is here: http://www.tvaddons.ag/addon-installer-kodi/
If you want to get deeper into the manual installation process, your best resource is Youtube: search for something like "best video addons kodi", watch a few videos and decide which addons you want to start with, then search for "install video addon NNNNN kodi" and watch some more videos.
Do as Terry T suggested and you will be good to go. tvaddons will get you a lot of addons at once
When I launch the Twitch app on my Amazon Fire TV Stick it's the old, super bare-bones version of the app, but when I look under the overview page the pictures are of a newer more shiny version of the app with more features. I guess the Fire TV Stick is stuck with the old version, possibly due to it's spec limitations. I really want the new apk so I can install it on my Nexus Player and my Fire TV stick, but I can't find the apk anywhere online. Could someone please install it on their Fire TV and rip the apk here for me. I would really appreciate it.

I bought the latest Kindle Fire 8" for my kids for Christmas and one of the things I wanted to do was load Youtube Kids onto it. I've successfully done that and have it working fine on the Kindle, but when I try to add the YT Kids app to their Freetime area it isn't being shown. I assume this is because I installed it through the Google Play store instead of Amazon's own App Store.
Does anyone know how I can get YT Kids to display in Freetime? I would like to make it available to my kids without backing out of Freetime.
