best camera settings or camera app for action shots? - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

the camera takes beautiful pictures, the only problem is my kid (almost 2 yrs) moves a lot and most of the pics I take of him come out blurry... anyone have any recommendations for action shots? or anything that would allow me to get better non blurry pics of him on the move? thanks in advance...

try to hit modes, download more, and get sports mode.

Is there an app to make camera better?

hello i've been testing the camera for the nexus and i just cant get fine pictures with it, i dont understand because the video is amanzingly good but the pictures suck, is there an app that resolves this?
You may have problems with focus. By default, on 'quick snaps', the camera seems to just focus to infinity. My recommendation is to hold down the 'shutter' for a bit so that it can pre-focus (turn green) and then it will take a picture. Exposure and focus are much better then.
Thx men

gotta thank you for this, i had no idea that holding down the shutter button caused it to focus.
@neok44, anytime. I'll admit that the sensor on the SGN isn't as good as the iPhone4s but the SGN takes better pictures than my DX (8mp) did. If you don't mind using a camera app until the newer ICS release is out, I really like using Vignette also. Of course, it takes pictures at a much slower clip than the native camera...which is generally what I use unless I'm trying to be 'artistic'.
I really like using a modded version of miui camera version 17. Search xda for it, look for the "fixed 2"version by mongoose helix. Takes nice pics, auto focuses ok, quick.

[Q] [Rquest][MOD] Galaxy S III GT-I9300 Camera App for Galaxy S II GT-I9100

I was wondering if there's Galaxy S III Camera App(MOD) For Galaxy SII. B'cuz GS3 Camera Focuses Continuously when you move camera to another objects. and takes photo by just pressing the shutter(Take Photo) button. While GS2 Camera app first focuses and then takes shot on pressing the shutter button. So it takes long to capture photo. Thanks in advance Devs...

None exist and in all probability none will. Currently most devs are working towards jb porting so hardly anyine would bother with this.
Also, different camera modules, different drivers. Will be difficult and even if done, will not work like it does on SIII..

Burst Shot

Is there anyway to get burst shot on our phone? I would like to have it for when I'm out with friends at the skatepark so I can capture a while trick in pictures.

the extended rom which is 4.2.2 has burst shot you can set it up to take up to 20 shots but theres 1-2 second delay between shots.
the other thing you could do is install a third party app
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=burst+shot+camera&c=apps
theres a list of those on there just pick one you like.

[APP][CAMERA][UNIVERSAL] Moto x Camera

Hi,
here is a beautiful fast & unique camera app from Moto x,
Action:
•Press the screen to captures picture
•Holding the screen activates the burst mode for capturing multiple pictures.
•Dragging up and down zooms in and out.
•Swiping fingers from left to right brings camera settings, and from right to left takes to the Gallery.
•Another convenient gesture is twisting your wrist twice (quickly) while holding the camera in hand launches camera anytime. It’s a great feature for a smartphone with no dedicated camera button.
Features:
•Single shots
•Burst shots
•Video recording
•Front-facing camera toggle
•Swipe to open settings
•Swipe to open gallery
•Touch to focus toggle
•Flash mode toggle
•Shutter sound toggle
•Geo-tag toggle
The camera app can be installed as a normal APK file. Installing this camera app does not replace the stock camera of your device and having installed it, you’ll see two different shortcuts in your app drawer.

Good one, but what does the SLO mode do? It seems locked for me. I can't use it. Anyone has an Idea.?
Few others I've used
Have been using many camera apps currently. All have some or the other feature which I like. I use according to my purpose.
1. Camera Zoom FX: Using it for its Voice Activated feature and its Collage feature. Voice activated mode will click only when you make a noise or say click or cheeze etc. You can use it when you click your own pics or wanna have a group pic.
Use collage mode and click multiple pics and you'll get all of them in single pic. That's way quicker then click normal pics and then use collage.
It also has a stable indicator that indicates when the object or the phone is stable to click the pic.
2. Pro Capture: For providing many various Focus and Scene modes in one touch, especially the Macro mode and the Fibonacci Spiral is also one of the best feature it gives. The golden Spiral does make sense in pictures, I personally believe.
3. Fast Burst Camera: Name says it all. Soon I'm gonna check the Moto X for its continuous shots and if the result is better I might replace. But this app is quick good. It clicks like a machine gun. Some times even if I try to click it ones it quickly response to the second touch and takes another shot . Sorry that might be a negative point as well
4. Camera 2: This app is real fun if you like to take pictures and video like that of Old time (1940s, 1960s, etc), It has Sci-Fi mode similar to Green coloured Matrix like of stuff with number falling down in a line. Comic mode, Artistic mode. Best part of the app is that you cannot just click pictures but also take videos in those modes.
Well I used many others too but removed them for less or more their limited features.
I hope this might help you in any way. :good:

Time to take picture (camera launch speed)

There! Something just happened! Did you take a picture of it? Rate this thread to express how fast the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 can go from "zero to picture". A higher rating indicates that launching the camera app and taking a photo is extremely fast such that you never miss an important moment, like when your cat attacks the couch again.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Instant you double tap home button camera launches take as many photos as fast as your thumb can tap. Instant superb photos.

neat thanks for the info!
Mine can be slow to show the image captured in gallery.
I just compared my Note 7 to my friends S7, both take picture almost instantly and then it takes about 1 sec to process and display for review (if you have that option turned on). Or you can keep button pressed and keep taking pictures, probably burst of 10 pics sec, maybe more. All this is on a par or better than my dedicated DSLR. The 1 sec review delay is completely irrelevant IMO to picture taking process and I may even turn it off at some point. I have no visible delay accessing pictures from gallery (but only 50 pics taken, there maybe slow down when I get thousands). If somebody complains about Note 7 camera, I think there maybe something wrong with their particular unit. Just to make sure: this is for rear mounted cam, I took 1 pic. with selfie cam, just to test it works and that just about as much usage as it will see. But just for the fact that it has fixed focus lens (I think), I wouldn't expect much from it.
As far as gallery goes, I don't like the way it sorts pics from all folders together, by date and can we finally have option to display names? Finding right video without name is sometimes impossible, but thankfully there is dedicated video gallery on Samsung website which solves that issue, but why not have just one gallery that works right.
