Is there anyway to get burst shot on our phone? I would like to have it for when I'm out with friends at the skatepark so I can capture a while trick in pictures.

the extended rom which is 4.2.2 has burst shot you can set it up to take up to 20 shots but theres 1-2 second delay between shots.
the other thing you could do is install a third party app
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=burst+shot+camera&c=apps
theres a list of those on there just pick one you like.

I was bored of the slow stock camera and liked the zero lag and burst mode of Galaxy S3.
So here is an app which can enable it on the Ace.
Search for Fast Burst Camera on play store. There are two versions, one is free and the other one is paid(will add play store link later)
It is really awesome and can shoot upto 10 pics per second max and can shoot pics with zero shutter lag. After taking the burst shots, you can select the best one manually and delete the others. Try it out!

Because it uses video recording instead of camera in order to take these fast pictures.

thanx..nice share..
So we have moved to the new base so much similar to S3 and I'm wondering if this is possible. I really want not to use 3rd party apps to fast burst
we don't have the required hw so no.
There is a custom app for it on market it takes this sort of stuffs,
the developer had an S2 when he demonstrated the video, its not the best but its something

Fast Burst Camera Light from the Play Store can take multiple pictures while holding the shutter button. Its not the same as the S3 but it still takes fast burst images.
I think sgs2's hardware would be capable of doing that

Iirc that just takes frames from the video feed. It doesn't take full frame captures like the S3 does.

so why don't you build that? use the search, everyone said already that GSII don't have the compatible hw ¬¬
How come when I changed to cm10 the camera focus mode got infinite and fixed but when I flashed lsj the camera only have macro n auto focus

The hardware is capable of taking burst shot pics at a low resolution, not that which we have grown used to with the standard issue single shot apps. The exynos 4 dual core is powerful, but 8 mega pixel stills at 60fps will bring it to its knees.

Hi,
here is a beautiful fast & unique camera app from Moto x,
Action:
•Press the screen to captures picture
•Holding the screen activates the burst mode for capturing multiple pictures.
•Dragging up and down zooms in and out.
•Swiping fingers from left to right brings camera settings, and from right to left takes to the Gallery.
•Another convenient gesture is twisting your wrist twice (quickly) while holding the camera in hand launches camera anytime. It’s a great feature for a smartphone with no dedicated camera button.
Features:
•Single shots
•Burst shots
•Video recording
•Front-facing camera toggle
•Swipe to open settings
•Swipe to open gallery
•Touch to focus toggle
•Flash mode toggle
•Shutter sound toggle
•Geo-tag toggle
The camera app can be installed as a normal APK file. Installing this camera app does not replace the stock camera of your device and having installed it, you’ll see two different shortcuts in your app drawer.

Good one, but what does the SLO mode do? It seems locked for me. I can't use it. Anyone has an Idea.?
Few others I've used
Have been using many camera apps currently. All have some or the other feature which I like. I use according to my purpose.
1. Camera Zoom FX: Using it for its Voice Activated feature and its Collage feature. Voice activated mode will click only when you make a noise or say click or cheeze etc. You can use it when you click your own pics or wanna have a group pic.
Use collage mode and click multiple pics and you'll get all of them in single pic. That's way quicker then click normal pics and then use collage.
It also has a stable indicator that indicates when the object or the phone is stable to click the pic.
2. Pro Capture: For providing many various Focus and Scene modes in one touch, especially the Macro mode and the Fibonacci Spiral is also one of the best feature it gives. The golden Spiral does make sense in pictures, I personally believe.
3. Fast Burst Camera: Name says it all. Soon I'm gonna check the Moto X for its continuous shots and if the result is better I might replace. But this app is quick good. It clicks like a machine gun. Some times even if I try to click it ones it quickly response to the second touch and takes another shot . Sorry that might be a negative point as well
4. Camera 2: This app is real fun if you like to take pictures and video like that of Old time (1940s, 1960s, etc), It has Sci-Fi mode similar to Green coloured Matrix like of stuff with number falling down in a line. Comic mode, Artistic mode. Best part of the app is that you cannot just click pictures but also take videos in those modes.
Well I used many others too but removed them for less or more their limited features.
I hope this might help you in any way. :good:

it is a slow motion video recording function. i never find a similar camera app with this function!
can anybody help me getting the slo mode (slow motion) camera app working on sgs3 PLEASE??!
the camera takes beautiful pictures, the only problem is my kid (almost 2 yrs) moves a lot and most of the pics I take of him come out blurry... anyone have any recommendations for action shots? or anything that would allow me to get better non blurry pics of him on the move? thanks in advance...
try to hit modes, download more, and get sports mode.

Ummm how come no reviews about it???!
The pro mode has shutter speed, ISO extension to 50 (!) and a white balance mode with a slider in degrees Kelvin.
I've gotten some crazy pics with this thing, nothing comes close in a phone. Period!
Manual shutter speeds go down to TEN SECONDS! Obviously you cannot hold it, but wow.
If you're a photography geek, go ahead and give it a whirl.
Can you shoot in raw?

There's an option for it but it's greyed out, not sure but that's next on the list.
Of course I would need to airdroid them over to my mac and open them to check them out.
But stock camera 50 ISO pics look amazing and those are JPG!
That,s great. Finally one can take pics the way they want.

tell me more about shutter speed please? can you post some shots?
I took some low light pictures of my friends yesterday, came out awesome, didn't expect the camera to be so well.

Out of box, select manual mode and adjust parameters as you see fit to take pictures just like you would do with a real camera in manual mode!
Here's some samples I took yesterday:
http://s1188.photobucket.com/user/cpufrost/library/S6 Edge Plus Manual?sort=3&page=1
And yes when you engage pro mode THEN go to options the RAW save option is available!
These samples are right from the phone, no editing whatsoever. Original JPG images right from phone. All taken in full manual mode. The cicada one (bug on tree branch) was actually taken during the day, I increased the shutter speed very high and used the flash at close range.
Even in Auto, the camera is fantastic. And being able to double-click the home button to open the camera anytime, is priceless. Big, BIG fan of this phone and the camera. Just counting down the days (years?) until we can record 4K at 60fps

And since we're making a wish list 960+ fps at 720P or greater would be nice too.
Even a 4000FPS mode at 320x200.
The camera in auto is very similar to the S6/S6 Edge. On those in auto using 100ISO outdoors I was still having exposure issues.
With the 6E+ and shutter control this is eliminated.
No need for a point and shoot.
I feel confident my Sony RX100 will even see a lot less use now.
@cpufrost
Those look great however does Photobucket upload at original quality? Any chance you can host the originals?

I believe so, if there is interest I can definitely upload originals.
I also want to open some raw files and do minimal manipulation in PS and save higher quality JPG to compare.
EDIT:
If you click on the gear icon (upper right hand corner of the pic) you can select download and it will let you download the full pic to your PC.
The first thing I thought about when I saw the 10 second exposure camera specs was astrophotos! I've gotta get to a clear area to try it out, here's some quick pictures I took in a dark parking lot with the 10 second timer on with 10 second exposure to try it out:

Try out the 8x zoom. It works pretty good.
Any good apps for Raw files? To view them and edit them.
