I have an unmodded AT&T Samsung Note 4, and overnight it appears to have lost the capability to connect to a data network. I have checked the data setting on the phone, and it is on, and everyone else in my area with a AT&T is not having any issues. There is nothing that I knowingly turned of that could have caused this to happen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would delete the APN. Let it re-add it automatically. If that doesn't help, I'd contact AT&T and make sure the account is properly provisioned with LTE and your Note 4. You may also need a new sim card. Sometimes sim cards are just bad.

Hi,
I'm new to the smartphone in general and android in particular.
I have Samsung galaxy SII i9100XXLPS.
Recently I have changed my network provider to a new one that builds its network from scratch. Mean while, the network roams to an existing network.
The problem is that although the data roaming is enabled, I keep getting the data roaming alert ("you have lost your data connectivity...") and I can't get internet.
Other people I know on the same network, some with android, others with Symbian(!) don't have this problem.
Thanks

First thing. You may want to try heading over to the S2 forum. Providing the location and carrier name, along with the rom and baseband from the phone (settings, and about phone) might help troubleshoot the problem also. I would guess though, so based on the little information you gave that the sim card is messed up, and or the phone does not support the frequencies for your carrier.

Bought my phone form Rogers. LTE was working fine.
Was going to USA and paid an online company to send me unlock code.
Used it and went using Tmobile which only has EDGE data.
Just got back swapped back in my SIM From fRogers and can only get EDGE speeds.
Tried reboots rmoving SIM card.
Also made sure settigns were correct for Rogers APNs and also that toggle was on for GPS/HSPA/LTE.
To no avail.
Briefly, I toggled on and off the apn setting from ROgers LTE to tethering LTE and low and behold it seemed to work.
But now it is back to stuck on EDGE and nothibg I am doing can help.
Can this be a byproduct of the unlock?
Is my LTE faulty?
I s there some hidden menu where perhaps a setting can be changed for a fix?
I am depserate as the alternative is to return the phone and they are on backorder everywhere now.
There is no lte on tmobile yet. Second the tmobile note 2 has dormant radios that will only activate the lte capability by software update.
Im going to research your problem a little more ill send you a pm as to why it isnt going back to lte functionality if I find out something first...

appreciated!
I have a Canadian note 2 that had working LTE.I had it unlocked via a code emailed to me then next used it on tmobile at edge speeds.
Since returning home i cant get back onto data speeds above edge despite reboots.Simcard/battery pulls.
I ensured my network and apn were correct and that in setting under mobile the toggelchoice for auto including gsm//hspa/LTE was selected.
Are there perhaps some deeper settings via dialer code than might be able to turn back on the hspa/lte radios?
hey i recently bought a note 4 for verizon and used it on t-mobile.
now it worked and i changed the apn settings manually. except:
1.) The phone would lose signal really quick in certain places and have the circle with a line thru it and it would take few mins, sometimes even have to restart phone to get service back ( i am in a 4g lte service area and it works fine on other devices)
2.) when i was in a call, the option to be on the internet DID NOT WORK. it would say check network settings or something of that sort.
3.) sometimes during a call even with full signal bars, it would hang up and say 'sim not found'
is anyone else experiencing this problem(s) also, or was it just a faulty device?
please any feedback, or insight would be appreciated!
Has it been more than 24 hours activated? Although not a note but her iPhone went from Verizon to t-mobile and she was having issues with data for about 48 hours.
I don't think its just your device (unless we both have faulty devices). I am having the same issues with my Verizon Note 4 on T-mobile network. When I am on a call that requires a keypad entry, it doesn't recognize that I pressed a number (same for voicemail).
My phone also loses signal and 4g in certain place (I thought it was tmobile at first but I was at starbucks with two other friends who had tmobile..they had 4g lte and phone service just fine while my note 4 had neither.)
I was wondering if it was a note 4 issue but haven't found many forums that discussed these issues specifically for verizon note 4 to tmobile users. Please let me know if you are able to find a solution to this problem.

You are correct. I have a Verizon Note 4 that is having the same issues. I'm considering trading this for a T-Mobile note 4 but I don't know how to do that other than craigslist....too bad there is not another way....
I just put in a new micro-SIM card from AT&T and my Zenfone won't connect to my cellular data. I can make calls and SMS and nothing more. I put the SIM back in my old Nexus 5 and it received cell data right away.
I called AT&T and they had me verify my APN settings were correct. I can attach screen shots of these settings if necessary.
I called ASUS support and they had me verify my APN settings as well
Has anyone else in the US with AT&T had issues with getting mobile data to work?
Edit: I was able to resolve this issue by speaking with AT&T again. They found that I didn't have a data plan set up specifically for my line (I'm on a family plan). I'm not sure what this means exactly but the rep I chatted with set up a data line for my phone and after a reboot, it connected right away.
There is a post on the AT&T forums that I shared with the rep. If you are having the same issues, PM me and I will share it with you. I think I Googled "zenfone 2 at&t app" and it was the first result. Sorry I can't share the link.. I haven't posted enough
Asus Zenfone 2 ze551ml
Same here cant conect to cellular data network but putting SIM card into the other phone its work, not living in us with at&t
Trying to Configure Note10+ 5G (N976V) with Visible but can not add APNs. The option is Greyed out. I was able to do it with my Verizon S10 that is also not officially supported. Crazy thing is that for about 5 min i was able to use the Visible SIM in my Note and Call and Send Txt until I rebooted the Phone. The Phone is paid off and Im using it on Mint Mobile now but it doesnt Show the T-Mo Boot Logo when I switched SIMs like my S10 Did. Has anyone been able to get this to work. I was told by Samsung that I may need to Reflash the Phone.
i have the regular unlocked note10+ working on visible.
N976V on Visible.
I am having the same issue, the APN settings are disabled. If you get this resolved before I can figure out a work around please let me know. Thank you.

Did you work it out? if yes, can you share how?
As soon as someone has resolved this issue, please update this forum page!
I just upgraded my note 8(on Visible) to the note 10 plus 5g. After i put in the Visible sim card into my note 10 phone, the phone was not working with the Visible sim card. I was connected onto the wifi network at work and I went into the settings to update the APN information, but it was greyed out and could not enter that information into the phone. After a few hours of googling to see if I could fixed the greyed out APN area so that I could actually enter in the programming, I said let me check the phone outside with wifi turned off. I went outside and tried to place a call and the call connected. I was then able to get wifi calling turned on since the phone was not allowing me to do so before. I went back into work and tried to place a call on the wifi network and it worked. I also tried sending text messages and mms messages and they all work. I checked the settings under the APN area and the phone automatically populated the Visible Internet setting but it was also greyed out, but it was working and I was so happy. I am so happy now with my new galaxy note 10 5g phone that is up and fully working with the Visible sim card. So I believe that having the phone connect onto the cell tower signal and not the wifi allowed the phone to pull in the APN information that it needed. I also reset via the setting the network connections while I was outside a few times. Hopes that this helps...
Change CSC with SamFw Tool (don't brick your device!!!)
Don't update beyond U4
Unlock bootloader and root.
Modify everything.
Accuse Samsung of being stupid for ever creating such a product with such limitations.
