Have you enabled the APN settings?
Settings --> Connections --> More Networks --> Mobile Networks --> Access Point Names
You need to get the APN settings from your service provider and make sure they are entered.

Nope. They'll let you lock out LTE, but the mode options are as follows:
GSM/WCDMA/LTE Auto
GSM/WCDMA Auto (no LTE)
WCDMA Only (No GSM or LTE)
GSM Only (No WCDMA or LTE)
I was happy to find this much, I came from AT&T, which doesn't let you do any of this. Given T-Mobile's incomplete LTE deployment, I can understand not putting in an LTE Only option, they're not going to be fully deployed until mid 2015.
Maybe once they're more deployed they'll add an LTE Only option.
LTE only would give you data only. You need hspa for voice. Until voice over LTE is regular, you won't see this option
Data is all I need. Was just curious. Maybe once CM hits the G3. Thanks for all the feedback.

@al5zMri thanks a lot man!!! This works on d855 i have unlimited LTE data plan but... only LTE -_- so it was incredibly annoying to constantly check connection mode while downloading. Now i wont waste money anymore!!!
Hi. It worked well on my G3-855, to force LTE only. But once the phone is forced to LTE only , now how to go back to the menu to cancel the "LTE only" if I need to registrer on an GSM or a 3G network ? Now once it's on "LTE only" which works fine for LTE, I can't enter anymore the hidden menu, the phone dosen't "dial" any number as it can't find a network to dial on. LTE is considered as a not dialing mode - it's data only. Thanks.

How can I get this to work for my lg stylus 2 dual.... I can't force lte only... Network disappear so quick the given code doesn't work for my phn

[Q] not supporting LTE ?!

Hi people !
I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab s 10.5" LTE veriosn, at least that what the box says
also the code written in the about menu, and also on back cover of the device says it is a SM-T805
which supposedly should support LTE networks, but when I check the 'Network mode' menu from 'Mobile networkd', in settings, connection I just see ('WCDMA/GSM' , WCDMA only and GSM only) shouldn't I see something about LTE over here?
does my device support LTE ?! , is there any version of Galaxy Tab s which does not support LTE at all ? (while it supports WCDMA(3G) ) ?
My SM-T805 is running fine with LTE and the cm11 rom. Which rom do you use?

Where are you located and where did you get the tablet from? Did you import? There is no LTE in america unless get the version from the carrier eg Sprint/verizon.
Probaby related to the rom you're using. There is a way to enable it. Its posted on this forum somewhere.

I purchased my phone (h815 US model) online from swappa and I love the feel and look of the phone, Love the camera, BUT my phone wants to stay on hspa all the time. Where i had 3 or 4 bars on my s5 active I get HSPA unless I go in to settings and sellect ATT:LTE from network operators which only last until my phone goes to sleep then im back on hspa. Anyone else experiencing this? Or anything i should try? Thanks in advance for any help!

Maybe with hidden menu access via dialer, you can permanently enabled it...I don't know the actual code that might work for your device..but you can find it through here..In general threads maybe
I had to set the proper APNs on my H815, additionally I had to tell it to use GSM/WCDMA/LTE Auto under Network Mode in the Mobile Networks settings.

After that, it's been using LTE where available.

Thank you @Daptonic . I was attempting to use the "ATT nxtgenphone" APN because it works better on ATT devices but I guess the ATT Phone APN is needed for non ATT devices. Rebooted phone and it went straight to 4g. Thanks for responding.
Edit: dammit, it went back to hspa again......
