HI all! It will be more then great if anybody can help me.
The story is simple one guy decide to unlock his Diamond throw some free way ( I don't know how exectly ) he end with error 260 and DEAD Diamond.
The device does not get into bootloader when pressing Vol_- + reset.
Now this Diamond in my hands.
Can anyone please advice what can I do? can I flash ROM?
P.S. this phone are new and Orange UK branded.
Please help and sorry for my poor English.
something? PLEASE!
You mention you can not get into boot loader by pressing
Vol_- + reset.

On the Diamond you can access bootloader by jsut reseting and holding down the "Vol Down" Key only...
Try this and report back.
Where is this error 260 indicated ? If the ROM starts up and shows some error, the bootloader will work for sure.
Cya,
Viper BJK
try to make an hard reset by press vol down + central button + reset.
maybe you have to use mtty but I can't help you cause I never use it...

That what I told volume down + reset not working with this phone. It is in another one which I have here.
The phone doesn't show any signs of life, I think I need test point or maybe JTAG way to repair it......
Any suggestions?

I don't know I got this phone it this condition with a story about this error.
I don't actually know what happened, but I believe that this phone bricked down in the middle of unlocking process.

2. with a fully charged battery, reset your device (hard reset) press Volume down + centre round button + soft reset(behind battery cover) all at the same time, release soft reset but keep holding volume down + centre button. You should now have a white screen advising you what to do to complete the hard reset.

Only to make a bit easy this step cause in this way one would be an octopus , soft reset your device with stylus and then, within 3 seconds, hold Vol down + centre round button until you see the tricolour screen. Release the buttons and follow the instructions (Press Vol Up to restore to manufactured settings).
This is the typical case when someone didnt do his homework. Im sure you didnt read the stickies. Poeple be warned, flashing your device can kill it if you dont have a clue on what you are doing. Ive seen a bunch of n00bs bricking their devices just because the didnt read the forum. This question has been ansewred a lot.

Error 260 is a USB communication error. Did this happen during sim unlock or during hardspl install because the thread title says one thing and your post says another.

If you try to power on the phone it vibrate or not?
Anyway you can try with goldcard as a last chance.
Good luck

Guys , wish me luck !
I reverted to stock , relocked bootloader , cuz i need warranty ...
I have a yellow spot on my screen , volume up button works only if i press hard , and battery is at 50% of what it was 6 months ago...
SO , i hope HTC will take my HOX to warranty . I've read that they sometimes don't repair devices with relocked bootloader .

I've flashed lewa...Vanilla aosp and cm 10 by dhacker29...
But i was facing the incall mic issue in vanilla aosp....i switched to cm 10....

I Used lewa for the very first time...it is the most stable rom...
Now the silly part...
The superSu couldn't grant permissions....it needed to update binaries and always failed !
My recovery also stopped working (TWRP) And when i pressed the volume up and power button it just gets stuck on nokia logo...
then i used the adb method....same result ! waiting for device and stuck on nokia logo !
MY Laptop prompted to format the disk...which i ACCIDENTALLY did !
Now my phone wont even vibrate after pressing power button,,,
i tried charging it...Removing battery and all....but nothing !
Adb...nokia x flasher does not recognize my phone....

I dont think bootloader can be restored using only usb connection.
Probably some other devices are available to service center like JTAG..doplhinclip...which can be used to re-write the boot partition
Lol, Im not alone in this.
Did same thing by accident. googled for how-to restore the phone. But it did not seem possible to be done. So I sent it to Nokia Care.
Those guys at the Nokia office laughed for a long time, when I told them a story " how I got a new shiny green brick ".
Told me the repairs would take 2 weeks and cost arond $30
_________ UPDATE____________
Called to Nokia Care. They fixed the phone by changing the celluar module ( maybe with the whole motherboard ).
That means that bootloader can not be fixed, at least for now.
BE CAREFUL
Well Nokia has just replaced my device with a new one after 3 weeks
I got my device back frm care center..
They replaced the motherboard...as the phone was dead they didn't knew i rooted my phone...n i claimed my warranty
Sent from my Nokia_X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

2 weeks ago i woke up and found my phone charged till 65% and the processor indicator shows that it is red aka working so much and would freeze . so i restart it and it turned off and when it turned on it stopped at the " SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE II GT-N7100 " and it stayed like that for more than 15 minutes so i pulled out the battery and turned it on again and stopped at the same logo . i tried again and nothing happened . i connected it to my pc and the pc couldn't identify it first so i thought it was a problem with the usb or the battery .i tried another friend battery and nothing happened but my battery was full charge on his phone . i Googled the problem and read about the SDS for note ii and that i had to change my motherboard . here is the thing . one of my friends asked me to do a system recovery maybe the motherboard is okay . so i pressed ( power + home+ volume down ) and it showed the odin window . the system information was there next to the product name : GT-N7100 official etc . after that i pressed ( power + home + volume up ) and it showed me that the cash memory was empty i tried to wipe the cash memory and nothing happened . the most interesting thing is that the cash memory couldn't mount yet in the odin window it showed that it knows the system information . i don't know if it requires me to download a new firmware or what is wrong .
i am using kitkat 4.4.2

Before sent it to service, buy new motherboard etc take a look to the link at end. Maybe your cache is broken, follow the instructions to recover your cache partition and after flash original firmware from pc with odin, maybe this fix your problem.

First you need to revive it, if your situation is not sds and after when is ok you can root it. 4 the moment your phone is not booting, to root or not it hasn't difference.

I answered to you before root can't do anything at your situation also with broken cache you can't boot flash root etc. Try to repair your cache if everything OK factory reset your phone from recovery and after flash original firmware from pc to fresh and clean your phone. If everything goes well after you can root, flash custom recovery, rom everything.
