[Q] Dead Desire Z?

Hi,
I was flashing a new CM7 theme on my 2 weeks old DZ (with CM7 RC 2 running fine) but the phone got stuck at the CM bootscreen. I tried rebooting multiple times by repeatedly pushing the power button and holding it. After a few failed attempts I pulled out the battery, and after putting the battery back in and trying to power it on the phone did nothing. No matter which buttons I pushed or held in.
I tried plugging it in to the power adapter, but the Power LED's don't even go on (neither the orange or the green one). The battery was at approx. 60% when I rebooted into recovery to install the theme zip, so there should be enough power left in the battery.
When I plug the DZ onto my PC (Windows 7 OS, with eclipse and Android SDK installed and working), the PC looks for a QHSUSB_DLOAD driver. I tried looking for the device through ADB but it doesn't see it.
Please help me guys, I've had the device for only two weeks now.

Anyone knows what steps to undertake to maybe revive the phone. I don't think it's totally dead since it's somehow still being detected by my PC. I just can't find that so called QHSUSB_DLOAD driver.
If I can just somehow get it to connect to ADB then I might be able to get into Hboot or recovery.

I hadn't, but already had these drivers on my PC. And before it got bricked my DZ connected fine with the PC (I flashed it using ADB and had setup Hboot and recovery). My PC just can't seem to find any drivers for this so called QHSUSB_DLOAD. It doesn't matter wich folders I choose to look for drivers. Nothing is available through internet either.

im having the same problem ... i tried several times but no luck... no LED... but u shud try pulling off the battery then put it in then press volumeUP+power button ..it will vibrate and red LED will start blinking .. i dont knw wat is it .. i connected it to PC ....windows asked for qualcom MSM driver .... i dont knw wat to do ..nd how to get bootload loader bak :S

if it does this, send it back to HTC.
the eMMC chip has failed (an unfortunately reasonably common situation, happened to me twice so far)
They'll fix it regardless of what roms you had on it etc. (unless you've done some hardware mods) i sent it in with cyanogen mod and s-off, they fixed it anyway

Lol, I thought my topic died.
Since you guys revived it, might as well tell you what happened. I contacted T-Mobile and sent the Desire Z in for repair and it got repaired for free since I'd only had for two weeks back then .
After I got it back I rooted it and restored a NAND backup and everything 's been working fine since then.

[Q] Bricked , any way to unbrick !

Hi all , I've bricked this device about a month ago , I've been searching for unbrick method , I can say i searched the entire internet i was unnable to find any unbrick methods , nor new mainboard , I even conntacted huawei in the us , and they told me to buy new motherboard in alibaba.com there's no motherboard there to , I was supprised they to have no mainboards nor support for unbricking the device ,
so my question , Does anywan know how to do it, or where can i pursache a new motherboard.

You kind of need to explain the symptoms before the doctor can do anything, same thing applies here.
Explain what is happening on your device, No response / stuck on boot animation, will it go to Recovery etc.
Also what have you tried to unbrick. Give us some info otherwise we can't help.
I haven't seen any P6 Mobos for sale on Ebay and such, I wouldn't know about that.

Explain here... You'll get your phone unbricked. Never say die

Well , I was trying to flash the CleanRom project , I'have made a post about that to ,
The Instructions were wery clear to me i followed them exactly how it was writen in tutorial.
I have an international verzion of P6 and according to that turorial , ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2625680 )
in order to flash that room i moust firstly flash an Chineze verzion which comes with unlocked bootloader , then i did that
I downloaded the rom put it on phone flashed via setteings update software , then everything went fine the process it seelf showd me
completed 100% and in the end sayd OK , then my phone turned off, and it's never been on eversince :A
As of now the phone is totally dead black screen , I've tryed everything it doesent go in any mode
When i plug in the power cord it only shows a red light indicator.
I belive this is a Hard Brick , not soft brick .

Warranty? Did the same to mine got I repared for free...

Yes i did brick my P6 and nope I aint gona tell them Im a noob :A
The thing here is to get help in here is not about send it back to china so if you have any other idea , your welcome to share.
I have no warranty , even if it had this phone is buyed in china , and traveled to the otherside of the world :it would cost as mouch as the phone itseelf to send it back to service.

Try flashing the latest TWRP, it has off mode charging. Can you put your phone in fastboot mode via adb ?

Not Hard Brick!
Happened to me before and guess what? Tried very simple thing - and it worked.
Take your sdCard out of the phone.
Replace the dload folder with the extraction from either the B111 from the Huawei site or the B125 from here on xda
Reinsert card and press all buttons down till phone goes into internal recovery.
Your main problem will be having enough battery to get you twenty minutes.
If your red light is functioning, you probably haven't blown your motherboard.

Nope my device is completly frozzen no sign of life dead screen , when I connect to pc nothing show's up I've tryed installing drivers and everything else with no success same thing nothing happen's.

Only solution for that is to take your phone to local service. I am talking from experience.

Can you check if you plug it into you computer that your computer connects to it or makes a sound? That can probably prove that the motherboard is fine and maybe your LCD is broken or has loose connection.
Happened to me before. Black screen, only red led, nothing else working. It happened that I got scammed by a seller.
What I ended up doing was taking apart the phone and I found that the LCD connection was loose. Fixed that, then I saw that the phone wouldn't boot. Loaded B111, B118, nothing worked. I then got B125, and it miraculously worked.
You could try what I did, but it is quite risky and I was very lucky.
I have to agree with goce. Unless you are experienced and willing to mess around with things, you should go find local service.

What can I do on my phone just flashes the red light and include only the logo of huawei.

My P6 is stuck on splash screen. I rooted the handset and tried to install TWRP via flashify, it installed but after reboot its just stuck on splash screen. I cannot go into recovery as well now.

I think you should download the TWRP recovery for jelly bean from surdu and flash it from bootloader. If you are on the international this is the method for unlocking bootloader:

[Q] Nokia X bricked! Can't get into the bootloader mode!

I ported a rom for the Nokia X, after flashing the ROM, the system starts succefully. But the sdcard can't be recoginized and I got a note to format the sdcard. So I clicked the button and "format the sdcard". After I restart the system. The system can't stat up again. When I plugin in the battery and press the Power button, I can feel the phone just vibrated as nomal. But after that the screen just shows black. There is no "NOKIA" logo shows out. I also can't use the volume and power key to make the phone boot into bootloader or recovery mode. So I think I may have formated the bootloader partion. Any body help? I may be the firt one to make nokia x truely bricked!:crying:

In my case was trying to downgrade the bootloader from the v11.1.1 update and voila! Could be repair with Qualcomm QPST, but there is no leak or new version that support Nokia X (secure boot 3.0) so my version 2,7 Build 366 cant repair our phone yet.
At least here in Spain there is no support from Nokia Care until may-june so u have a stone until them :victory:

No, you can try to flash or recover phone through nokia care suit latest version which ever it is.
I got the same problem downloaded official rom and recovered the phone through care suit....BINGO! got the phone working then.
If you know the rest procedure then ok if not then ask me i will be happy to help you

The nokia care suit can only woks on the downlaod(use the power button and volume down button) mode. But now my phone can't get into download mode. So it can't recovery my phone. QPST will be a good way, but I can't get the bootloader firmware data.

hi guys,i think i just bricked my new nokia x android phone after i had root and was installing google playstore.........i was using the gapps kasamalaga method and all of a suden my screen just went black n blank,,,,,,,,,,,,then i switched it off n on and all i can see is d start up nokia sign n it has been dat for hours..........pls how do i fix dis?????????????? i need your assistance.

i brick nokia x too, no "nokia" word come up when press power button just normal vibrate. the nokia suite didnt detect my phone, any solutions?

same happened with me while after root i tried to put google play store. did you got the solution?

I tried installing Vanilla Rom and it said installtion success I rebooted I see nokia logo then android logo it keeps glowing then nothing help me pls ty

If still vibrate, you can detect on Linux computer and restore with partitions backup of nokia x

took it to a nokia care centre and it was fixed..........sorry am replying a little late............

Just go into recovery and flash a previous backup. Ur nokia logo is showing so recovery probably works. If you dont have a backup use nokia care suite and flash a new firmware.

Clear cache data and android secure and flash again. If it doesnt work flash your backup or try flashing any other rom

Go to the x2 thread. If there is a custom recovery for your phone backup using that. If its not avialable you have to wait for a dev to create a recovery.

thanx for the reply....i saw a custom recovery tool in the nokia x2 thread, i would like to know where the back up will be saved, if it is going to be saved on sdcard or external sd card as i dont have much space left on my sd card....please am actually a new android user and am new to modding.....i would really appreciate it if you could shed more light on the back up?

While making backup of your system or data you can choose to save it in internal or external storage.

same think happened with me. i have given my nx to service center few days back. but still they havent fix my nx. how many days they took to recover ur NX.

You have to go Nokia Care.There are no option except Nokia Care.One of my friend format that "system_boot" under CMW recovery.He went Nokia Care and after 2 weeks they replace the board of that mobile and returned it.

Do you see the Nokia logo after a short vibrate when u press the power button. If that foes not happen then its gone
Only nokia care can help u now. Also, if any one has JTAG device he can also help.
However, can you please explain your requirement to format the boot via CWM ? Exactly what were you trying to to do

See .My phone do nothing when press power or volume down and power even vibrate and nokia logo.nothing.I erase everything in my phone.rif Box dont have nokia x .my friend say i must wait to bring rif box .

Hello!!i did a silly mistake while re flashing lewa os 5.1 in my nokia xl!!! When i was about to wipe the data...accidentally i formatted my memory card too(in which the rom was)..after that it said "no os installed do you wish to reboot?" and when i rebooted my phone was stuck on nokia logo!! I took it to a repair center and i ended with a useless brick !! My phone doesn't even vibrate when i press the power button...what shall i do now??!! Any options..rather than buying a new one?? Plz help!!

I'm not sure how you got bricked based on what you did... Unless the repair shop bricked it? In which case I'd be talking to the owner of the shop about that. But it if it won't power up whatsoever, you could be stuck.
But I will have your thread moved to your device section for other ideas.

i suggest u take(?) back to nokia care services, my phone just vibrate when i press power button, not show up anything, no screen, no bootloop
after 4 days from nokia care it's fly again, using cm11 with some bugs

ya..when i messed my phone the only thing i could see was the "nokia" logo!! i took it to a repair center then the man said it would take 1 month! i am familiar with software issues..unless its a bricked one ! thought he was messing up my phone! i asked it back and then it was useless...it didnt charge nor it opens!! i regret what it did back then now

Did you try the Nokia Care Suite to flash the original Nokia ROM? This would be the first option to recover your phone. Check this thread if not already:

You could also try with Nokia_X_Toolkit_v1.20 while your phone is started and shows the Nokia logo. Choose let's say option 12 in Nokia_X_Toolkit_v1.20 and hit enter. In case you are lucky you could enter Clockworkmod and flash another ROM from a zip file.
Another option would be to try with the Nokia_X_Flasher. You would need to start the Nokia_X_Flasher with your phone connected to the PC. Then start the phone with pressed Power and the volume down button and hold for around 20 seconds. Nokia X flasher might be able to detect your phone so that you could flash a ROM file.

my pc detects it sometimes but says unidentified device later on...and my phone doesnt show a nokia logo...thinking of taking it to nokia care
