Greetings all..
I am working on the Not e 4 and run a large collection of Xposed mods
I have a Sprint Note 2, Note 3 and Note 4 and the 2&3 have never given me any issues with Xposed Framework Modules.
The frame work
Several are causing boot loops upon reboot.
The device will not boot into safemode- which is a huge pain if you did not do a backup in recovery.
I just wanted to remind everyone that if you install Xposed ( and ignore all of the "make sure you nandroid/ backup first messages) this time REALLY MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP /System at least before you activate mods.
I will post a list of the ones giving me issues shortly as I work out process of elimination.
Do you have an idea why my phone says "updating" after I install Xposed?
It's not stuck or anything but in the status bar it has a logo with a checkmark and I have no service. Am I supposed to freeze something?
I don't use many xposed modules and don't have boot loop issues with the ones I use. My problem is not all options in Wanam works. Like disabling sound waning when putting the volume too high. Hopefully the Wanam devs will fix that.

I turned off Software Uodates and it still comes up in the notification bar
I don't get any service either upon installing and restarting with xposed
When you installed xposed installer (assuming this was not from a titanium backup), it should have saved a zip file called, Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip to your sdcard or internal memory.
Install it in recovery and it will disable xposed framework so you can figure out which module is not working.

Yes. It removes xposed framework without uninstalling anything.
This way you can use the process of elimination add to which xposed module is screwing up your system:
Reinstall framework, turn one module on at a time, reboot, repeat.
If you are sure individual modules are not messing up, don't bother turning them off.

The thing is that I didn't have any modules on. I just installed it, updated it, rebooted, and I'm stuck with no service until after I uninstall it
Weird
Maybe I could try to flash Xposed in TWRP? If that's even possible..

All you have to do is install the apk. Then once in Xposed, install the framework.
Id try uninstalling the framework, deleting the apk and download a fresh apk of xposed and start fresh. Dont associate TWRP with installing Xposed.
I think its working now. For some reason the update stays on my status bar for awhile before it turns off by itself. I tried to send myself some text messages last night and they took a long time to send, or just never sent at all. I have some decent status by my house so that wasn't an issue. I might've not given my phone enough time to boot up xposed or something, but regardless it's working now.
Being connected to wifi, does in anyway affect sending text messages while I'm on xposed? I barely had enough time to test it out when I was at home but driving around my city I was sending myself text messages and they seemed to go through okay.
Wanam Xposed
11/5/14 Wanam Xposed Module update available.
Drama!!! It is just Xposed Framework.

Hello,
I have installed Xposed Framework and Xprivacy successfully in my rooted stock HTC one (m8), everything was working fine but i didnt like how xprivacy bugged me whenever I updated an app. anyways I chose to disable the module.
So I went to Xposed app, disabled Xprivacy, I also uninstalled xprivacy manually after that in android's App management.
since then the phone keeps on restarting, it restarts and functions for a minute then automatically restarts.
I restored using a Nand recovery backup and now its working fine, but I still have Xprivaxy installed.
has anyone faced this issue? Also, does someone know a safe method to uninstall Xprivacy?
Thanks

Did you check if was already installed when you did the backup? It looks weird because TWRP does a wipe before restoring data, so Xprivacy should not be there anymore. Yoy can also try to wipe manually the data partition, but you will have to start config, install & update apps again from scratch.

Try to install it again and enable the module in Xposer, restart, then disable the module in Xposer, restart once more and then try to uninstall it.
Do a full restart every time, so disable the fast boot option in energy settings.
Good luck!
right now it is installed, ill try updating then uninstalling, Fastboot is turned off for my phone.
I tried wiping cache and dalvik cache, didnt work.
I hope someone has a solution, I want to uninstall it.

This is weird, I tried to install, enable, configure and then I uninstalled without any problem.
I'm using ARHD 8.0, but it's almost totally stock.
I'll try to check what files are installed with the package, and maybe you can try to remove them manually using filemanager from TWRP.
I'm sorry, I tried a lot things and I can't replicate your problem. Even if I try to uninstall it with the module enabled in Xposer does it works.
I've been reading at: https://sourcegraph.com/github.com/M66B/XPrivacy the uninstall methods and are the same we tried.
If you want to uninstall XPrivacy, you have two options:
1. Disable XPrivacy in the Xposed installer
2. Uninstall Xposed using the Xposed installer
I think I can't help you with this
Maybe you could try to uninstall and reinstall Xposer and see what happens...

Thanks for your assistance mate, I uninstalled Xprivacy again, this time I didnt disable the module in Xposed before uninstalling the App, I just uninstalled Xprivacy, it worked, no issues
So I guess an advise for anyone disabling or uninstalling Xprivacy would be to take a NAND backup of the phone before uninstalling incase the restart issue happens.
Thanks to all.
Great! I'm glad finally you get rid of that module! :highfive:
Make a Nandroid backup is always recommended for everyone having rooted devices, it takes less than 5 mins and saves a life... :good:

The thing is.... I went to the app to get the program and Magisk wouldn't install the program on it's end. Took a shot and installed the apk (SDK 25), then installed the 88.1 version shown in the picture (now 88.2) rebooted and waited to "upgrade" itself.... But here it is plain as day. I'm not saying you may get it running on yours but it worked for me. Happy testing y'all,
SykkNyzz
And apparently Gravity Box for Nougat just came out 2 days ago at the time of this post.
Just ticked to center the time. Perfecto.
Reboot and such work as well
Nav Bar as well (note swapped buttons and added menu)
Even the Expanded Desktop works.
I can't get any modules to install in magisk on this phone. Tried systemless Xposed and nothing. How did you install it?
That looks like system install. Systemless usually says it like in this screenshot.
Did you install magisk with the zip in recovery, or modified boot.img? Systemless Xposed would be nice, hoping to get working on mine.

OK. I got system install working on mine too. Yours looks like system install too, not systemless. The xposed app downloads normal system install. You should change the name of the thread since it's not actually systemless. Just to avoid confusion.

I can't get any magisk modules to work either, I was genuinely hoping you had it here. I've noticed you're pretty active in the forums for this phone.
Glad you showed xposed working, it helped me decide to try it.
Hello friend,
I have some issue with Xposed systemless, when I flash Xposed it is working but when I reboot my H8 PRO, GravityBox is not working, and in the Xposed installer i get a message (picture joined)
It's bad to do a full install at each boot..
What do you think ?
Thanks
DUK-L09C432B183
well , rather than flashing it again there's another method to get it working. @Bummer : it needs two reboots anyway.
once you see this failed screen.
reboot.
Don't open xposed. go to settings and clear data for xposed intaller. Once you clear data all permissions for the app are gone too.
Now set storage permission.
Open Xposed.
Activate the modules.
Reboot.
Done
Nice bro ! It works !! Thanks !
And do you know why i have a "Please updtae Xposed Installer" in a little pop up in the bottom of the screen ?
may be coz of your xposed installer version , im using 3.1.2. please update to the latest one.
Another tip - Deactivate and activate any one xposed module before restarting your phone to retain xposed, rather than reinstalling or wiping app data.
I am using the same now and seems to work now.
You mean that i have to disable and reactivate all my module before restart ?
No just any one module.
Uncheck, recheck and restart. Xposed stays active after restart.
Ok thanks !
I'm on this condition: stock retail Nougat, stock retail kernel, TWRP installed, rooted with SuperSU, BusyBox installed and Xposed too.
All works fine on my phone... with a little exception: Packet installer.
When I go to install any APK directly (untrusted sources...) like from Aptoide (with its root installation disabled), from Xposed or from file system I got continuos FC of "packet installer" and installation is not possible.
I've overcome this installing apks from ES file explorer or by some APK installer present on Play Store, BUT both of them need to be used externally as stand alone apps and can't be called directly from, e.g. Xposed or Aptoide.
Both this solution after a first different installation starting, use stock Nougat installer, so the FC should be connected to how installations are called by apps...
I've tried A LOT of solution (clear data, cache, update to v.7.1.2 packet installer, disable & re-enable unknown sources, etc...) but none seems able to fix this little annoying issue...
Any ideas?
Do you have this issue too?
Seems like either Xposed modules or any form of putting mods together caused that. Sadly I don't use Xposed due to piracy reasons. But I would start removing mods untill it works for you

You were absolutely right! :cyclops:
I've found it was an Xposed module causing the FCs!
This one to be exact: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-xhfw3-floating-windows-t3371074
Weird is that nor calling app neither Packet installer were set to use its windows features and even blacklisting packet installer from XHFW3 doesn't stop FCs... only fully disabling the module does!
Anyway... thanx a lot!
Hi all,
I have installed Magisk 16.0 based on Maik93's post, and Xposed Framework SDK27 90.2-beta3 (Systemless), through Magisk modules.
When I enable the Xposed module, the phone first shows endless boot animation, and when restarting it again, it boots, but the Xposed app seems not installed (not listed in Settings->Apps and its icon is not present in chooser), although, in Magisk, it is visible in the Modules and it's checkbox is checked.
Did anybody successfully installed Xposed with A2 Lite? What can be the problem?
Thanks a lot,
Circum
Did you install the apk of xposed?

No, sorry, I was not aware that it is a separate thing.
Now I have installed, but it says that no Xposed Framework is installed. If I try to install a framework from inside the installer (90-beta3), it -- obviously -- reports an error that /system/framework/XposedBridge.jar already exist...
Because of this, I cannot enable any module from Xposed Installer.
Any tips what do I do wrong?
I want to use Xposed too but we will have to wait for TWRP I guess.
Not sure what happened to you, did you tried ti reboot your phone? Mine is working just fine

Not all are working apparently, but if it is bootloop, you so try to let it boot again, press power and volume down as the same time while it bootloop, the second boot always work for me
There is TWRP for Mi A2 Lite.
Search on google.
NOTICE: For now there isn't official TWRP. There'w unofficiak fork which can you install using fastboot. :good:
Not sure what happened, AFAIK I have rebooted the phone at least once, but after rebooting again, it said that the framework is installed, but has some problem with it and not functioning (yellow background, sorry, I forgot to take a screenshot), and rebooting once again solved the problem, I can confirm that Xposed works.
But as others mentioned, installing Magisk itself makes problems with the boot. Booting always stucks, I always needed (even before installing Xposed) to long-press power after several minutes and the second try usually boots up.
Now having Magisk and Xposed (and GravityBox) installed usally need to restart booting twice (i.e., the 3rd boot works).
Any suggestions how to debug / get logs about this problem?

Xposed's Gravity box module works on Mi A2 lite?
Yes, GravityBox is working, although as I mentioned, there are issues with boot - I have to reboot several times until it succeeds...
performace drops significantly when i install the xposed module for magisk. i hope they fix it.
So far everything works fine on my end, I'm not noticing any performance drops in my day to day use. Then again I haven't used it much without Magisk + exposed but from what i'm seeing it's working well, no noticeable lag or stuttering.
I have gravity box, Amplify and Greenify modules running.
