[Q] How to increase cpu frequency - Xiaomi Redmi 1S

Hi guys, I just recieved my 1s about 1 hr ago and I have updated to latst v45 f/w and found out that the cpu is underclocked to 998 mhz. So to increase it I have enabled native root and tried no frill cpu and pac performance control. But none is working. I can change the governor, the scheduler but not the max frequency.
How to do that?????
Thx and regard!

You have to have another kernel that will allow you to do that.
Sent from Xperia Z2

Use v45 performance patch posted in MiRed ROM thread (By OP in First Post)

Download trickster mod from Google play store, and in that disable mp decisions. Then you will be able to set frequencies

I was having difficulty in setting Min/Max Freq in Mokee ROM .. your post pointed to me that MP-Decision is doing so.. Thanks for solving this for me.

Its just script to improve the governor perform. Not for adding some governor to your kernel or something else! I want to include smartassv2 tweak but i think forfivo kernel is already for this.

Edit 1st post. Sorry, flashable zip make the script not work. -_-v
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
Why this script? Stock cm9 kernel as the same values as this script.
It doesn't worth it at least for cm9.
---------- Post added at 04:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:09 PM ----------
Sry, cm9 stock "up_threshold" is set to 90.
Higher value means less responsiveness and lower values corresponds to more responsiveness at the cost of battery.

Same values? Cm9 stock up_treshold is 90, and my ondemand script set to 70. I say its for performance. So, to improve ondemand for better performance. I set to low up_treshold and lower sampling rate. Its not friendly with battery life. Bcs, i think performance is more important than battery life

[KERNEL] Nibbles Kernel v0.1.5 *OC & OC/STOCK GPU* (1/7/13)

Nibbles Kernel Is Here!
Thanks to Krazeecracker for letting me take over!
Thanks to Android88 for helping me test my builds into the wee hours of the night
THIS WILL WIPE CURRENT INIT.D SCRIPTS. MAKE SURE YOU BACK THEM UP!
I did not create this Kernel, I just maintain and add features to it. Give total credit to CVD as this is his creation and body of work. He made this possible. ALSO BIG SHOUTS OUT TO THOMAS.RAINES FOR THE BASE KERNEL LZ KERNEL
Features: The Nibbles kernel includes a LOT of new features that cater to all users who want to get the most out of their device. I've included many popular CPU Governors and I/O schedulers to support a wide variety of uses. Additionally, I've made lots of other fundamental changes to the kernel to better balance battery and performance (well beyond what you can do with a handful of scripts) as well as implementing over clocking the CPU to 1.782GHz, Under/Over Volting the CPU at each frequency step and over clocking the GPU.
CPU Governors: intellidemand, pegasusq, gallimaurfy, interactivex, smartassv2, wheatley, interactive, conservative, userspace, ondemand, performance
I/O Schedulers: noop, deadline, cfq, sio, vr, bfq

[Kernel] ICS 3.0.16 - BrYCS (Sense) OC, Governors

For those who have stuck with the Incredible 2 through thick and thin, we finally have an ICS kernel for Sense. Here is my personal build for everyone to use as they so desire. This is built from the Chinese source.
This kernel includes: Overclocking, Governers, IO Schedulers, Forced Fast Charge, Dynamic Fsync, BFS & CFS versions, tiny RCU, and more to come...
Difference between this kernel and bsmitty83's:
BrYCS - built with arm-eabi 4.4.3 toolchain
KaPoW - built with gcc linaro toolchain, and patched up to 3.0.xx (and more frequent updates - the guy is a machine)
RIOT ACT: ...blah blah blah...flash at your own risk...if you brick your phone...you're a dumba$$...I am not responsible.

im trying to port MIUIv5 using ROM Porter with chilli's cm10 as base and the IncS miuiv5 as port
apparently my phone does not like to go past the loadscreen when the rom is signed, but when unsigned it boots just fine after one forced reboot (does it by itself first boot)
at first it was giving me endless com.process.phone and com.process.acore errors
now its just sitting there in the boot screen again.
Any advice guys?

READ THIS PLEASE:
Everyone, sorry to disappoint but this kernel is now dead. Due to a serious serious issue with the git client, me trying to delete 1 repo caused the deletion of my kernels repo instead. There will be no builds anymore, I would have to start from scratch and I do not remember every line of code I have changed for the past 4 months.
My sincerest apologies to you guys, I am still shocked myself right now, I can't believe it did that.
I will keep downloads up for now but I doubt the kernel will work bug free into the future without keeping up with driver updates and such. If there are any GPL concerns from any mods here on xda, please let me know and I will take the links down. I had source up until it got deleted. Thanks for the help, experience, and the times guys. You made this kernel a wonderful learning experience for me. Look out for my app in the next few months guys, its my new project if git doesn't screw me on that too.

IO: fifo

2. Download Kernel Adiutor Mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/kernel-adiutor-mod-singularity-kernel-t3333549
3. Use Quickpic because MIUI Galllery is scanning very slow, causing battery drain. I disabled MediaScanner service in Gallery app, and I am using only for photo editig
+1 if the third core not working, disable thermal and hotplug first. After thet, activate the core.
Tips
-Use UC Browser, it has good ram management, low cpu usage and smooth enough. (i dont know why isnt on the screenshot at battery usage, if i remember well, I used a bit camera too)
-Do not set higher brightness than 50%
-Turn off wifi and data at night
Follow the screenshots
Enjoy the battery life and multitasking give a thanks if i helped
(I am on miui 8 global 6.8.18 with stock kernel)
EDIT: set cpu to 787mhz min. and 1190mhz max. The phone will wayyy smoother and same battery life.

i think the best ROM for our little beast is still MIUI, its rich of features and its all work flawlessly. of course my opinion is out of battery life and RAM management, coz i think its all depending with how many and what kind of apps installed, and im sure its different for everyone. but,, unfortunately MIUI ROM is still stuck in kitkat android version , I can say to abandon our hope for android version upgrade from xiaomi for R1s and buy new one of xiaomi phone , and Redmi 4 seems as a good option. :fingers-crossed:
I use exodus 6.0.1 + phantom 8 beta v4 + Xposed it's working good mostly smooth and average battery life is above 3hrs(SOT) you can use this rom for daily driver.
